@@ulforcemegamon3094 a lot of the mini bosses are like that unfortunately. Very few of them fully take advantage of the combat system and end up feeling gimmicky and tedious. The best ones by far are the Shinobi and their upgraded versions, which have two hard variants in the final island, but the bosses get very under utilized.

This boss makes zero fucking sense. The only parts of its body that actually does something is the lower part. The top part with the diamonds and shit does absolutely nothing for the fight, the boss never uses it in any way, all it’s there for is to make the boss appear bigger than it is. It ruins the believability of the fight a lot to me. What’s with the fact that it randomly sends out rail rings for sonic to grind on anyways, it should be fighting sonic, not aiding him.

Strider sends those rings out so you can reach the main set of rings near his face considering his obvious size. You can lose your rings or get yeeted by them also if you don’t wait for the rails to solidify. Going by Strider’s nature and lack of weapons aside from the lasers and jumping fireballs, this one was probably used to trap people similar to Ghost.
@@infiniteblaz3416 you’re spitting but to be fair, you can abuse some parts of the terrain by boosting w max speed off of some of the rails that aren’t connected to strider and land on the main three or like tricking off the side of some of the land around the island too, so I do think they could have thought of a better way to get Sonic up to the 3 rings without outright giving him a way. But I think the rail rings it shoots out is generally an okay idea that works in the boss fight

If the more advanced version in other Islands uses the second phase attacks the mini boss will be more fun imo
