The fight is MUCH more epic when you fly around the titan and hit it with other moves besides sonic boom.
It’s called Sonic Boom.
I use Quick Cyloop to raise him in the air and pumbled him with Sonic Boom followed by Wild Rush to close the gap and Cyclone kick mid combo. This puts enough in the counter to allow for fast combos and drains him quick. Then just parry his second phase. I OP'd sonic before this first boss so I had a lot of the skills unlocked. I think Frontiers should really allow boss replays for this reason.
It never occurred to me to use the cyloop during super sonic mode! I'm close to taking on Ares Island's titan so hopefully I'll be able to try it out then. And I agree, this game needs a boss rush mode, cuz these super sonic fights are some of the most satisfying sequences in all of Sonic. It brings me back to the excitement I felt taking on Perfect Chaos for the first time.
@@Jvazquez50 Yeah it's a really neat effect. The boss and sonic fly way up into the sky and you can just hammer the boss while it's paralyzed.
looks like a QTE fest 😖
1:46 I love the smile Sonic gives at the beginning of the fight, it’s like he knows he’s got this!
Honestly it's so in Character
He's cocky and really enjoys to fight
@@applehazeva2739 little sign of vegito
That’s because he does!
Yeah he is fucking invicible, You expect him to not be confident?
I kinda wish he showed his teeth instead it would’ve gave sonic x vibes
Honestly, this is exactly how a Super Sonic boss fight should be.
I agree, and nice super saiyan blue evolution vegeta profile picture
Yes.
No it’s not, You shouldn’t be spamming one move over and over again without even punching. The person who made this video played in the lamest way
@@Steveo_j8 he didn’t really mean it like that, he meant like the fighting style of the super sonic bosses like the gameplay and maybe a future game could have it so the fighting doesn’t have to be so spammy I guess
@@Steveo_j8 it’s not dark souls it’s sonic tf u expect
First impression is honestly good: Less talking, more action
this guy just kept spamming one attack, all the videos of people actually using the combat get taken down, it sucks. Because when using the combat this fight is amazing.
@@DSX1 well to that point of the game u don't have that many movements yet, until wyvern is when things gets really crazy lol
@@DSX1 yeah I mostly just attack his arms or his body.
@@DSX1 I really hate how this player played it like people can play how they want but this video doesn’t do this boss fight any service I had more fun playing it and using all my moves then just one only reason why I’m watching videos like these is because I want to relive the magic of this boss fight like I wish I could replay this fight but I can’t until I beat the game and start over again
No shit.
From Sonic of the Colossus to Sonic the Hedgehog Rising: Revengeance.
lol my thoughts exactly
CHAOS CONTROL SON!!
The way he throws wyvenn away really got me thinking
1:47 that smirk is just the best detail. Sonic knows this fight is over but he’s gonna enjoy himself a bit before then
I was really scared that this was the final boss already only a few hours in but nope.
Shit was fucking insane, I put my headphones on before this battle and then shit hit me like a train hearing the music with Sonic beating the ever living shit out of the titan.
This game gives off heavy Edgy Sonic AMV vibes but in the best way possible to where it's actually badass
This was the most hype first boss that has EVER been in a Sonic game!
Sonic is BACK, baby!!!
The buildup is amazing. After the Titan absolutely kicking Sonic around the first round, you know things will definitely get the other way around when the music kicks in. You know the Titan is the one in trouble this time.
I love the smirk Sonic gives Giganto after going Super
Gives an aura 'YOU DUN FUCKED UP NOW!'
One of the best boss fights in franchise history
That you still have all your moves and they're appropriately scaled up is... seriously did Sonic Team make this game holy shit what is happening
Facts I really enjoyed this fight
Probably the best boss
Meh, you didn't play many Sonic games, did you?
This is the best boss in this game. The final boss is absolutely abysmal.
I don't think I've ever felt this good in a Sonic game. Look what they let us DO MAN THIS IS AWESOME
Yes it is ever and will be forever
That shot of Giganto staring at Sonic 0:42 seconds is chiling. Really shows what Sonic is up against.
Nah fr. It adds so much tension to these upcoming fights
he looks friendly tbh. he's like, "ay cuh i been waiting where u been"
1:44 this part is just so epic when the ost 'Undefeatable' starts to play
arms folded, descending while looking down on his enemy. It's peak coolness.
It’s that smile he gives like that’s Epic
@@DrJay-iy8rv my thoughts EXACTLY 💯
@@AkaiKnight textbook definition of BADASS
@@AkaiKnight It's basically Sonic saying "round two asshole".
I made it to this boss during night time, and OH BOY WAS IT FLASHY! The part with the lasers literally looked like a high-budget anime battle!
Clearly one of the coolest moments in my life of video gamer!!
Eh.... they DID capture the feeling of how sick super sonic is in 3D
Eveen the knight boss. With a chainsaw shield and the coolest anime movie with the sword
Strategies for the fight: before you get the last emerald, get to max rings using cyloop.
When Giganto swings at you, parry the attack and use the Grand Slam attack if you have it unlocked to deal massive chunks of damage.
Boosting does not drain rings faster. Boost all you want.
During the seconds phase, aim for the chest and head. Attacks at the back and shoulders will be ineffective.
Hope these tips help!
Also don't spam Sonic Boom like holy shit what a boring way to experience this fight
Bruh, I cannot even go back to explore the area to level up my stats or gain new skills. It literally just locks me in that fight after each game over. I can only hold 400 rings and even then, I still fuck up because the parry is just fucking bad honestly. I time it and i still get hit. Not to mention whenever you get hit, the camera just faces Sonic instead of GIANT that's about to hit me off camera. I've died 10 times and counting.
@@Jay_R_Gaming - Before collecting the last chaos emerald continue to use cyloop on the ground this will spawn rings and rarely skill point shards.
You don't need to time the parry just press and hold the buttons required and you will counter Giganto once they hit you
Try locking onto the boss. Don't know if this will help you with your camera problems but its worth a shot.
@@ThatNormalBunny ah, so timing a parry isn't what matters, but just holding the buttons down until the enemy hits you? Odd but okay that works. I've been using Cyloop to get my 400 rings and some skill points. The camera issue only occurs when I get hit and it pushed far away from him. The camera is just fixed on Sonic until I move. I've been targeting the boss and just using my attacks. But as of typing this reply, I've beaten him after getting lucky with the parries and combo attacks
Forreal, you need rings going into this fight lol. Went into it with like 50😂
I love how Super Sonic actually has interactions with other characters in this game.
Not gonna lie the way sonic wraps it up to the ending of the song is just so fucking cool
The fact that 3 lead singers from my top 3 favorite bands came together and made an absolute masterpiece of a soundtrack for a sonic game makes my heart happy
I just got to Chaos Island and man, the boss fights for Kronos and Ares are so good, I’d honestly call them the best boss fights in the series. I got so hyped when the music kicked in for Giganto for the first time
u talk like this game is out....?
That's because it is lol
@@Broockle Bro it's been out for 3 days

I was surprised. It still looks like the tech demo, I thought they would change more.
I looked it up a bunch since... definitely looks a lot better than the demo but still seeing a lot of poor decisions in there adunno.
I'll finish Sonic Mania one of these days and after I'll think about getting Frontiers maaaaybe.
@@Broockle It's fun and feels like more than a tech demo. But you are entitled to your wrong opinion.
Bro... I just beat Giganto today. When that Undefeatable song starts playing I got goosebumps. One of the most lit boss fights ever.
Easily one of the best Super Sonic boss fights to date. Frontiers has many flaws but the titan bosses ( except the last one ) are the BEST parts of this game. Just immaculate.
Just defeated Giganto and I have to say THIS FIGHT IS SUCH A MASTERPIECE!!! It's so fun flying with Super Sonic and fighting this giant Titan. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY AAA
this is actually my first sonic game that i’ve ever played; needless to say i have not been disappointed this boss fight was so dope
3:12 I love how when he throws the blast away the best part of the song comes so epic🤩
Glad i’m not the only one who loves that part.🤘🏻
I tried using the cyloop on him AND IT LAUNCHED HIM INTO THE AIR, IT'S SO COOL
I'm at Emerald 4 of island 2 and so far this is probably the highlight of my playthrough. Seems the Titans in general are gonna end up being the best part of this game.
You got that right

@@shredderorokusaki3013 Do you mean the Sonic Boom shown in the video? It should be the LT button. If not, look through the skill tree and see if you can find the move and it will tell you the input for the move
I just played this part. All I can say is *HOT DAMN!* and this was only the first freaking area! They finally nailed Super Sonic! Hands down I'm gonna love this game!
Played this boss fight today i'm loving the game more and more
This game was so good, I just finished it with about 21 hours of play time at 100% on the file and steam achievements
How was it, getting 100%? Any annoying achievements to get?
@@rennyroll837 ehhh not really
Damn it took me 40 hours
I got it for christmas and it says I’ve been 10 hours on kronos island :v
Until today I got to solve that puzzle and beat giganto, I think I’ve spent that much because I spent like 2 days trying to get an S Rank on 1-2 Cyberspace
@@spm30001 I found the target time on 1-2 to easily be the hardest part of the game.
The first time I played this fight and the super sonic theme started playing was one of the Best feeling moments I’ve ever had in a game

Don't mind me, I'll just wait for team Snapcube for the voice overs
Oh I seriously cannot wait for that day to arrive
Oh i just realized
Nuh uh, imagine Lythero playing this game with the boys
The fact that giganto is probably stronger than perfect chaos is crazy
Modern Sonic could beat Chaos without the emeralds one decade ago, so you are right.
Crazier, Giganto just needed one Chaos Emerald to be powered up!
@@perrypro1263 while Giganto is definitely stronger than Perfect Chaos, it’s not because Modern Sonic could beat the latter. It’s simply because Sonic exploited Perfect Chaos weakness, his brain
@@iam4026 ...which he was able to only access due to his increased speed, so giganto is still more powerful as in his resilience
@@perrypro1263 that’s right. While Super Sonic needed to strike Perfect Chaos only 6 times, Giganto needs to be punched, kicked and slammed. He doesn’t even have a notable weak spot. Even his head which is the main target doesn’t seem to be taking any more damage than the rest of his body
3:39 This was so clean!
This boss the first time was incredible. That music when the super sonic section begins is one of my favourite music pieces in the series now
Somebody's been watching shin godzilla. 2:42
Just did this fight and it feels *so good* to have Super Sonic back as more than just a secret power-up after 10+ years
I like how most people say they don’t like this game. it’s collecting all the chaos emeralds on repeat even though it’s been like that since day 1. Even sonic said he’s been collecting these for his whole life
Most people like this game though. Only a small amount of idiots don’t.
No one has said that lol

Underrated comment
I fought Giganto at night. It was even more epic.
This fight goes so hard man, Super Sonic makes you feel extreme in this game and it's fun as hell.
The song is almost like metal gear rising revengeance
>no hiding super sonic behind final boss.
> fun game play
>Kellin Quinn killing it on the sound track.
What a time to be alive. Sonic fans, you must be eating well.
We are this is a huge improvement over the failure of Sonic Forces
@@ThatNormalBunnyyes this game rocks it’s actually good this game saved Sonic
No one's talking about how hard the ost went holy!
thats Kellin Quinn for ya. love sleeping with sirens
**Sonic becomes Super Sonic**
Giganto: Why do i hear final boss music
Fun fact, in the first phase, using the cyloop, then immediately doing a wild dash about four times, will instantly get the boss to hald health in around 30 seconds from the fight starting. If lucky, you can do it twice, and kill the titan in under 1:40.
And stop that music? Nah I'm a "use all my combo options and only counter when necessary" guy. This is easily the most powerful I've ever felt playing super sonic
First boss being more engaging and requires more button pressing than majority of the previous games' final bosses where it's just dash, dodge, spin dash and repeat.
Super Sonic is so amazing!
4:08 epic moment
Just got to this fight and omg the song hits so hard!!!! Glad to see Sleeping With Sirens getting recognition they deserve!!!! Let’s gooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
This fight is much better on Hard Mode & During the Night cycle🔥
This guy gets it
The boss fights was the true highlight in this game for me….gosh they’re so good.
4:16 King Piccolo’d his ass!
This was such an awesome fight
Those quicktimes you see there? It all started with the Double Boost (or Sonic Unleashed's Werehog combat)...
Look at how far in time we've come to
This game gets more Adventure vibes when you're playing with those SA2 shoes
I could easily say that this is Sonic Adventure 3
When I did this boss fight, it felt like I was there, with Sonic, fighting Giganto, that’s how epic it was! The music also fits with the boss fight as well, the fact you have to parry all of Giganto’s attacks, I got hit once and didn’t get hit another time! Mostly because I knew what to do I order to fight this boss
1:40 best part in the game!
1:51 Ps: wow, you must be a legendary in this game.
THIS IS LITERALLY THE FIRST MF BOSS
Sonic casually kills a fucking eva
Sonic has harnessed Goku energy
Just last night I was on this very boss fight, the minute that song hit I just started smiling with excitement and hyped me up at the same time.
Time to defeat this titan! Super Sonic Style!
How do you activate that clone attack? Is there a certain skill combo you need? At 2:04
It’s a QuickTime after you parry him 👍
@@watermelon7880 *parry
It's the counter attack. The game tells you to press the buttons after parrying successfully, it's the first move outside of the skill tree.
it's actually the "grand slam" counter. (which is a skill you need to buy)
Right after a parry, you will see a prompt to press X and B at the same time
or the buttons for Cyloop and Stomp.
for those who didn't realize, MOST of the moves sonic can perform work in his regular AND super sonic form.
with the obvious exception of Cyloop (I have not tried it yet tho).
so it's a seamless transition between both gameplay.
@@shiruba7019 thx lol, I was tired when I wrote that lmao
I love the OG Dragon Ball reference in how Giganto is taken down with the final hit.
Best sonic boss fight yet. Excellent game so far
Sonic is about to go super in every way that I still can’t keep up!
I finished this boss just now, it was perfect! Can't wait to ser how the other Titans battles are, but i don't knos if they will top this fight for me, cause it was just that fun! And besides the design of the boss and the lasers made me feel like i was fighting Shin Godzilla, which was just the icing on the cake for me.
They really took a page from FFXV’s book with this. Looks amazing.
this game is absolutely incredible

This song got me going.
And after reading the lyrics again and again with the song. It spoke to me EVEN MORE!
All I hear is mirage from apex lmao
Giganto goes so HARD!
Just beat this boss. Just amazing bro
I was in AWE with this fight when I first played it
Giganto’s appearance my first play through gave me both Evangelion, Shadow of the Colossus, and Xenoblade Chronicles face mechon Vibes all at the same time.
most epic fight of the game tbh - im glad i saved my playthrough, my 1st one. super epic when you dont know what you are doing and dont spam moves - I hope next frontiers makes it so you have to build up combos/combat meter to actually use skills, such as the ranged move especially.
I had to max out my stats, completely regarding power and defense to defeat this guy and you just did it a lot more easily! Well done! Also, song is EPIC!
Such a massive excellent boss ever, i even love when they play themes that suits the action for the showdown, battle or war ever as the Giganto song is awesome too.
Wow can't wait to play this game!
Thank you this was freaking hard
Super sonic literally just picking up a giant laser and throwing it is just so epic

The only thing i could think of when fighting Giganto for the first time was:
“Man…
I missed this…” :,)
One of the coolest moment in a gamers life
I like how this is technically the 1st boss and yet the song is fire like if it was the final boss
i wasn’t expecting vocals for this stuff at all
but DAMN am i glad there’s vocals
Now this is a fight to remember
I have to say, I don’t believe there is a single sonic game where you go Super Sonic this many times story wise
Man, that first part with you climbing Giganto and in the end when a disembodied voice says "thy next foe is" just gives me Shadow of The Colossus vibes. I wonder how much of it was intentional.
I've been a fan of Sonic for a long time, I remember what it was like when I played as Super Sonic for the first time. The music always made me feel like I could take on the whole world, no matter what enemy came in my way. Then we've had that spell where they stopped doing Super Sonic boss fights, they always had good music but those Super Sonic Songs are what did it for me. After about a decade later this game drops, I always thought that I would never get to feel what it was like being Super Sonic again, especially after having played so many different fights with him.
Getting those Chaos Emeralds and seeing that Super Sonic transformation made me smile, knowing that at this point the fight was on and I was ready for a good beatdown...
But I could not have been prepared for 1:40...
Just watching that golden yellow light slowly come down, staring down at Giganto as the first words started to play, I felt the goosebumps, hairs standing up, mouth dropped open as I felt the old chills that I haven't felt in years.
Then the smile, and then the guitar...
Sonic vets would recognize that these moments are where the game tells you to simply *SHINE.* Where all that matters is you and your enemy, and the music reinforces that feeling, that feeling where you feel invincible and how your foe has no idea who they are messing with.
It's these moments where you aren't playing as Super Sonic, you *ARE* Super Sonic. And it's why I always tell others that Super Sonic fights are not something you understand by watching, you actually need to play one of these fights to understand the feelings you get from these battles.
Giganto, Imprisoner Of Fates, Son Of Monika, Purger Of Mammals
This boss fight was so good. This game shows how Super Sonic boss fights are meant to be fight
Sonic Team went Super Sonic on us with that smirk like "Alright mofos, you want a good Sonic game?"
What a masterpiece this fight is
Playing this boss fight with “All of Me” by Crush 40 blasting in the background is fucking unreal.
