In professional use i am not convinced about this alternatives. Not only due to poor manufacturing but also due to age of the fixtures like problems with heat or broken parts, another problem is the installation due to shortage of manpower and low prices this is rushed and mistakes happen. In longer daily use they break down more often than the normal pll and son so I will not use them. The prices of the complete led unit we have commissoned are cheaper and they are more relaible. Why are they used by dutch councils, mainly because it is ridiculous to throw away a fixture with still 5-10 years of lifespan left if you also use the more expensive or a specific designed led fixture it is a economical choice to retrofit. Another possibility is the environment argument, replacement a fixture is replacing more material then used retrofit the lamp. I have some in my hobby collection just to spare on materials like son that, but they work fine for some time now, especially if you are short on ballast for a specific lamp.
I am also wondering if you also have any LED retrofit PL-L lamps that are designed to work with magnetic series choke ballasts since I am well aware of Europe having a good number of external starter preheat PL-L CFL fixtures and have been wondering about LED retrofit lamps that would work on those existing magnetic ballasts. So far, I have seen some of those LED retrofit PL-L lamps with LED starters on a German website before.

@@Ni5ei Ik bedoel echt niet dat alles zo maar weggegooid moet worden, maar als je weet hoeveel led retrofit lampen ik al heb moeten vervangen die na 1-2 jaar al defect zijn en wat dat allemaal voor een vervuiling veroorzaakt...
I have the same problem with these fake leds that I change them every 2 or 5 years at the most, while you put fluorescent bulbs and forget about them for 10 or 15 years!! but it happened to last a classic 10w 800 lumen LED for about 6.5 years of daily use about 3 to 6 hours a day but it had lost half its brightness like mercury lamps but mercury lamps won't lose brightness as fast , it must be ages the LED I had 10w 800 lumens this was made in 2015 by adeleq now unfortunately they don't last at all and I only use philips, osram, sylvania which hopefully last a bit longer! for interior, only the tude and the LED strips are worth it, since I have some LEDs from the 2018 Eurolamp and they light up quite well with a slightly reduced brightness! LEDs are worth only philips, osram, sylvania for 10 to 15 year durability and fluorescent lamps are still worth especially with electronic ballast! for exterior lighting only HPS if you don't mind the yellow light and the LED headlights are especially worth the HPS with that awesome yellow light that really relaxes you, gives you a unique feeling and makes you feel safe that's what I felt
@@Ni5ei Dat wordt in Nijmegen volop gedaan. De Schréder Altra, Aresa en Philips Iridium armaturen die vaak maar tussen de 5 en de 15 jaar oud waren, worden gewoon vervangen door led. Terwijl er ook veel 30-60 jaar oude , welliswaar mooie armaturen zijn, maar die vallen letterlijk uit elkaar. Die laten ze juist vaker zitten. Verspilling verspilling..
@@NMGN75 Ja maar dat komt dan door de slechte kwaliteit van de retrofits. Vaak worden de LEDs gewoon te hoog aangestuurd waardoor ze te warm worden en niet lang meegaan. Het principe van de retrofits is gewoon goed, alleen moeten ze het beter uitvoeren. Maar kennelijk is het nogal moeilijk om dezelfde lichtopbrengst te generen in een beperkte vorm die gelijk moet zijn aan de conventionele lamp die in de lantaarn hoort. En ze moeten gewoon stoppen met in iedere lamp een driver te proppen. Dat is ook niet goed voor de levensduur. Monteer gewoon een LED driver los in de paal of lantaarn en stop alleen nog maar LEDs met goede koeling in de retrofits. Gasontladingslampen en LED armaturen hebben toch ook allemaal een aparte ballast of driver? Doe dat dan ook met de aansturing van retrofits. Scheelt ook enorm veel geld bij de productie van de lampen.
H yeah NOT PL-L, but smaller PL-s version, ido have a osram Dulux LED 4,5W ( 9W) replace in my collection for the PL Desk lamp next to the fluorsent versions i have a 9W 7W (and for the EU a large 11W oppose to the American 13W GX23 base), that you use with the magnetic choke same principal as the Fluorescent and dummystarter with choke ballast and it is a newer version that looks like the real Pl lamp so maybe they use some filament style LED tech i don,t know i like ,em❤😊

@@NMGN75 Het gaat niet alleen om kosten. Alles maar meteen in de container kieperen terwijl het nog jaren meekan is gewoon verspilling.
