Today I pick up a memory of your performance in DC when I was in with my Ba's family. It's great....! Bring me back rare occasions of being joyful in the U.S
I absolutely love this song, although I do not know the meaning or intent behind this powerfully beautiful tune. I do know how it makes me feel, what imagery comes to my mind. I think of africa, I think of the people of that ancient land, I feel the pain and suffering of her people. I feel the hope when the rythyms riase and falls, I sense the change and the growth of a land that has for to long been forgotten. This music is a magical and powerful means of transmiting love, One love, one people.
I've had a hard life...we all have in our own way. My life became beautiful after the first time i listened to this melody. Sublime and Magical. Trully the real deal. Real music played by a real musician and maestro.
Harry, I couldn't agree with you more. But this is relatively better compared to most of Mamadou's "fast-lane" compositions. I concur that his cousin, Toumani, is miles ahead of him. For me, Toumani is the Kora King!
Noah looks like he has never worn a cheesy 60's polyester living room curtain before. I wonder if it still has that thin layer of rubber to stop the light from getting through too much??....Oh yeah the Kora musician is awesome too.
Totalement bouleversant. Parmi les musiques qui devraient atteindre les personnes du monde entier.
