Sick Week 2025 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive day one is done but unfortunately Sick Seconds 2.0 won't be a part of it! The car finally hauled early in the run but the only problem was that it was hauling hard left.
We couldn't start Sick Week until later in the day because the track was still being tried so everyone would only get one run. It's a tough old deal but everyone was in the same boat.
Brett LaSala is the early leader, and with myself and Jeff Lutz out, it looks like Steve Morris might be his biggest competition. Of course Alex Taylor is right up there too. The Swedes and Bryant Goldstone struggled so we will see where they end up at Bradenton Motorsports Park. As for me...maybe I will join the Cleetus McFarland cheap car challenge if I can find something that runs tens...

Say what you want about the cheap race car challenge, I kinda dig it. Most people(including myself) assumed it costs tens of thousands to be a weekend warrior. After just one run, they’ve proven you can enter the sport for under $10k. 🏁🦅🇺🇸

As a super casual drag racing fan, I think these Drag and Drive events are among the coolest things out there. Seeing the purpose built drag cars towing trailers up the highway is awesome

Had so much more fun watching the cheap car challenge anyway. Love the pro mods but a group having genuine fun together and laughing hysterically along the way is so much more entertaining

5.0 liter going that fast is just mind boggling. When they get that car as ironed out as they had 2.0 it is really going to be something. Might even hit fives.

Hey Bill Moss!!! Great to see another Pennsylvanian!! I am from phoenixville I built a 327 Vega and used to run up at Maple Grove until it twisted itself in tow even with the support structure. It was too far gone so I took the mount kit that I used to mount the small block out and its bene in a box ever since...-John

One of the highlights of the video for me was the Tim Blythe interview. There's obviously a connection there I'm not aware of but can appreciate just the same. I wish all the interviews were as entertaining as that, that and of course, the racing is SICK!

to sit on the porch watching all the cars drive through town on the A1A. Kudos to Bailey for making this happen

I couldn't be there this year..Next year will be my 1928 Morgan/MG Special which will not be a race car and the next project is the complete strip a vW Bug pan and then a make a hand made buck and form a fiberglass 959 for it along with a turbo bug or 6 cylinder Corsair engine...-John

That Gremlin was cool... I used to race a 1978 Gremlin X with a Ford 5.0 H.O. swap, T5 transmission in the 90's.
It was naturally aspirated and never ran faster than 11's but it was a lot of fun. Those Gremlins have a lot of room for wide tires without having to trim.
That teal stick shift foxbody/cobra is fkn GNARLYYYYYYYYY ! ! My favorite so far.
I agree, it has that factory strange rear spoiler which helps me notice his car. The footage of it on the highway was looking good too!

I'd like to see the rules be that you have to hand a time slip in for each track but you drop your worst time. What happens for example if you get halfway down the track, there's fluid down which nobody saw meaning you wheel spin and nearly crash having to back out of it losing loads of time, and that's your only run for that track. You also get a situation where Tom on the first day gets a 20 and then has to decide whether it's worth doing the whole event with the quickest car, as a Spectator we don't want the quickest cars dropping out because they have one bad track.
Maybe more than one day at each track with these events getting to 350+ cars....
Maybe replace it with a different time slip from any track that hasn't already been turned in
That’s what happens in sail races. You do multiple races in a season, and the worst score gets deleted. If there are many races, it could even be the last 2 or 3. It takes the bad luck out of the calculations.

K and w block seal comes in the exact bottle that the crc head gasket stuff comes in. I’m guessing it’s the same stuff, relabeled, but it does work. Plus it doesn’t clog your radiator. I’ve had a bottle of that stuff for a couple years now and have used it in two cars that has worked.
