The only difference is is the small difference in displacement. Its the same reason a coyote 5.0 and the 5.0 in the RCF/ISF sounds similar.
Got a 2012 with the 3.7 V-6 and the 6 speed manual. It is a blast to drive here in Arkansas. Lots of hills and curves to negotiate. A super road handling car. Very smooth.

It would have been great if the 3.5 V6 ecoboost had been used instead of the 2.7. Or make the base car a 6 cylinder turbo and the GT a V8 turbo. The Mustang has traditionally shared engines with the F150 pickup so it wouldn't be a logistics problem.
Makes me miss my 3.7... but now I have a 5.0 so it was a good upgrade. That v6 is really a great engine. Too bad we probably won’t see one like it again...

I love the sound of the 3.7 with exhaust and the eco-boost has enough power to keep me happy and entertained. I love my modified V8's for the overkill that they are but I would never want to drive them everyday.

@@chilly3528 Yes and no, it makes more torque stock and it's easy to turn it up but, the block has a serious problem whith cracking when its pushed much past a tune. And it sounds a bit like a wet fart to be honest, sorry. There are some good sounding 4's, the ecoboost ain't one of them. If your not going to build a V8, the 3.7 is a better block. And as the old saying goes, no replacement for displacement.
My 2012 Mustang 3.7 sounds just like this, it also has a Roush exhaust system with a cold air intake. My co-workers love how it sounds and rumbles at idle

I managed to get to 244 kph/152 mph in my 12 mustang 3.7 before I wimped out in Florida USA. I've done everything possible besides forced induction. Regardless of the motor in these style mustangs, anything over 225kph/140mph you really gotta upgrade the suspension bigger tires. I love mine, its light years faster then all old mustang v8 i owned. 92,94,98,2005.
It's literally meant to be a modern take on the older fastback lol The interior is great in these 14s. Hell of a lot better than the Camaro and other sportier cars of the year. Plus the premium ones have a computer screen on it. I use mine quite often so its definitely not outdated or look outdated. Definitely right for the year
This is an interesting proposition considering the current automotive landscape. From my understanding they are relatively low maintenance (being a 2010 owner with the 4.0L), sound amazing and engaging with an exhaust, and in the used market I would imagine cost at least half of what a new BRZ, EcoBoost, or equivalent competitor would be charging.
The stock version of this car is very boring but there is so much you can do with this car as far as mods & accessories. I know I’ve changed the grille, I’ve replaced the stereo, I’ve added interior lights, installed a spoiler, installed back & side louvers, changed the rims, changed the headlights & tail lights. I’m planning on changing the hood & painting the whole car matte black.

I recently bought a 2013 mustang V6 engine , and found out there's a procharger that is around 5,500/ 6,000 usa dollars comes with a tune ,bigger fuel injectors and will allow the car to put out a total of 485hp / 500hp, which is alot of power for a V6! However nothing beats a V8 muscle car in exhaust sound! I can say that because I have a 01 mustang roush that has a V8 engine in it!

This engine really gets a bad rap and I don't get why. The EcoBoost is really overrated. Ok, not everyone can afford the V8 or its fuel expenses or its Made-in-the-USA/CO2 taxes marking up the price, but I think the Cyclone V6 is an engine that deserves a little bit more respect! And of course, I also think the base engine in the current Mustang lineup should be the 2.7 Turbo V6, instead of the EcoBoost. P.S.: Where I am in Holland, I see RAM 1500s everywhere! Where I am from, I might as well have seen only one RAM and that was 15 years ago!

The premium interior on these cars changes the look a lot.. and if you have an extra 400-800$ you can get very good head units..
I like the black instead of silver dash, but some people do miss two extra gauges and a head unit.

Yeah. If i could go back, i'd purchase a 2012 V6 instead of a 2016 V6. Cheaper carplay add-in, lower car cost, and same amount of fun driving.

This engine really gets a bad rap and I don't get why. The EcoBoost is really overrated. Ok, not everyone can afford the V8 or its fuel expenses or its Made-in-the-USA/CO2 taxes marking up the price, but I think the Cyclone V6 is an engine that deserves a little bit more respect! And of course, I also think the base engine in the current Mustang lineup should be the 2.7 Turbo V6, instead of the EcoBoost.
P.S.: Where I am in Holland, I see RAM 1500s everywhere! Where I am from, I might as well have seen only one RAM and that was 15 years ago!
