    You may notice the camera feels a bit shakier when zooming in and out. I tried something new to give a more natural feel when moving around the map. Which one do you prefer? The new smoother movement or more static movement like previous videos?

    • @death_parade
      @death_parade 3 года назад +57

      India is all gung ho. Difference is we can't steamroll communities because private ownership of land is a big thing in India. That concept just doesn't exist in China. CCP can just relocate people without any consideration for them. In India, citizens literally embezzle money from the government whenever the government wants to buy their farms, etc for any development work. On top of that, you have various foreign-funded NGOs in India whose sole purpose is to protest against _any_ development work. And by protest, I don't mean peaceful placard protest, rather I mean going to courts and using every legal means available to slow down the project. These NGO leave no stone unturned in ensuring that every development project in India faces delays and cost overruns. Ask anyone in India how much of a headache land acquisition is in India, they'll tell you. Despite all this, India's infrastructure growth is rapid. India is not China. India is India.
      .
      Foreign governments use NGOs as an instrument of economic sabotage and regime change in India. Government of India recently introduced new rules for NGOs receiving foreign funding, including limit on administrative expenses at 20% and audit of their finances. The Americans are already up in arms about it. They tried to pressure Indian government to relax these norms under the guise of "Covid-19 aid". Indian Government told them to fcuk off and told them that any "donations" will be distributed through the Indian Red Cross to ensure equitable distribution. They shut up real soon after that. Just to highlight how ridiculous the NGO network in India is, read this from an American website:-
      .
      _"India is home to almost 1.4 billion people and while the country has made great progress in the past decade, it is estimated that approximately 53.5 million Indians continue to live in poverty. A great majority of the estimated 3 million nonprofits operating in the country are working to reduce extreme poverty and address its impact on health and well being, access to education, social discrimination and exclusion, and more."_
      ^ SEE this $hit? 3 Million NGOs working for 53.5 Million people! And yet at the end of the day, its Government of India's spending that is lifting Millions of Indians out of poverty. These NGOs only divert a part of their funding to the causes they claim to support. Most of this money is used for Anti-India activity.

      @@death_parade the stuff you said about NGOs is so far from reality, it hurts. Foreign NGOs have done far more for India than the insanely corrupt Indian government. *Especially* the American NGOs have done more for India than any Indian nonprofit. The issue isn’t “sabotage”, it’s that the Indian government doesn’t want too much foreign money & influence in the local economy (which is a valid concern). What’s wrong is how they portray the American NGOs that have done wonders for helping pull millions of Indians out of poverty, eradicating malaria in the country, and providing access to clean energy, water, and toilets. The Indian government will almost never acknowledge it, and many Indian citizens will lie & pretend it doesn’t happen because it crushes their ego, so they’d rather support a government that is thoroughly corrupt, ineffective, racist, classist, and nationalist (not to mention, also religious now!). In any case though, Delhi’s metro expansion is still ridiculously impressive and should be applauded by everyone!!

    Delhi being the Capital of india has backing of Central govt hence it's affordable & Largest MetroRail Network in India therefore making it best Rapid mass Transit system for an Indian city and serving as a Model for other Indian cities developing their metro projects.
    Bombay (Mumbai) has the largest Inter-citi Railway network (Slow & Fast line) in india. A life line for the city but it's overcrowded due to huge its population & needs alternative metro infrastructure to handle the population influx.
    Chennai has mixbag Infrastructure interms of Intercity-Railway, Bus, Metro etc. Pretty balanced i would say.
    Bengaluru is just surviving because it has the largest fleet of Modern Public buses (AC & Non AC) but they are expensive and run at a very slow pace due to the enormous Traffic. Metrorail is not upto the mark, its 3rd largest as of 2022. Hopefully things will get better and it will become 2nd largest metro system after Delhi in next 5 years and help in reducing Traffic.
    Hyderabad surprisingly has better Metro connectivity than Bangalore despite starting it's project many years after Bangalore. Its the 2nd largest Metro system in India as of now but needs to expanded further.

      don't think so, there have been lots of protest recently, and with development of coastal roads and harbour links to eastern expressway, I don't think mumbai needs larger metro especially considering mumbai suburban railway is way bigger like 450+ km already, all they need to do is make suburban railway cleaner and make them run on time, it would be much better if maharashtra focuses on other cities like Pune, Nagpur and Nashik, pune and nagpur already have huge manufacturing base, all they need to do is connect to JNPT, dighi and wadhwan ports and voila you have your own pearl river delta without any river

      @@waitwhat3547 You are partially true. There are many other cities in Maharashtra which need metro but you cannot ignore Mumbai where even suburban rails and best are congested most of the time. Mumbai Metro is the need of hour. If you see Nagpur metro, it is not big and that's why it doesn't have significant ridership even during peak hours, so it would be better for government to focus on Mumbai and Pune first.

      There has been a delay with Seoul as South Korean law prohibits foreign companies (e.g. Google Maps) to distribute its map data. I believe this is to prevent North Korea having visibility to South Korea's military bases.
      So Moscow will probably arrive first sometime in April and Seoul should be done by May!
