We have two goals on this channel. Provide useful information about Elon Musk and his related businesses and provide some context to the Tesla stock story as it relates to the economy, the macro, the fundamentals, and the technicals.
I have written 10 books about small business, several of which are currently available on Amazon, including two Amazon Best Sellers about Elon Musk.

51:11 been great talking to you
I was sitting in a restaurant on Siesta Key Beach, Sarasota, Florida, enjoying lobster, with a big window view, when all of a sudden a guy yelled out, "THERE IT IS!!!!" Everyone stopped what they were doing, looked out the window, saying, "wowwww," " what it is? ," "Cool," all astonished when a gentleman said, "IT'S A CYBERTRUCK!!"! Everyone stared at it until it drove off!!!
I was at a wedding and someone in a support role used his CT as a truck. I have seen 2 car carriers with CT and one POV driving on the street. It’s no big deal. How’s the key lime pie?
In Los Angeles they are appearing with regularity now
Love the duo of Randy & Larry ❤
Appreciate the content, gents. What you do matters! Be well.
Nicely said 😀🙏
Always a good listen with larry🎯💯
Larry always good; he can’t help but provide good thought processes
LOVE LARRY 💪❤
Issue I have with your Osborne effect theory is I myself am a cyber truck holder. And I’m in queue to receive the cyber truck here in the next few weeks. If there was no cyber truck, I would probably buy a model Y, but… Not right now.
I was not in the market to buy a new car. so I will probably get a model for my wife sometime in the next 5 to 10 years. Probably five years. The reason I’m buying a cyber truck is because I don’t wanna miss on the opportunity to buy a vehicle that in my mind is emblematic of a stage or a foundation/era of high-tech vehicles.
I am not in the market of getting a new car, I’m in the market of getting a cyber truck.
I doubt the average person who is looking for a car, would decide to get a truck, seems like radically different needs, at least for the ICE buyer
The Cyberthing isnt a real Truck and wont be bought from real Truck people! It will be bought from Teslafanboys who wanted a Y or a Modell X!
Love Larry He is a quiet savage with a heart of gold 💛
I would put up and move into a Boxable today, if I could kep it on the same property as our old home, which would become a great warehouse and shop.
Can I make a suggestion, I think it’s also possible that they are waiting to get the unboxed model 48v architecture model Y ironed out which can indicate an efficient use of CAPEX. In addition there have been articles about significant leaps in battery development with higher battery capacity. If they already have the stock boosters of cyber truck ramp and robot taxi why add to the mix an unboxed 48v model Y. In addition to all that Optimus working in factories.
In addition to all of this Tesla investors know the DNC has been messing with Elon hard and they’ve ef’ed around and found out because they’re about to lose the presidency. I’m sure Tesla’s been preparing for any outcome of the elections.
I bought a model Y last month because of the 0.99% finance offer. Before that offer I had decided to wait for the refresh of the Y. Were I a cash buyer I would definitely have waited
Ordered a 0.99% MYLR, then cancelled after faltering 2013 250K mile Prius was DIY repaired for $2500. That rehabilitated hydrid now allows waiting a year for a new 2025 MY or CT, with no $1,000/mo car payment and a much lower liability-only insurance cost. Who knows, the Prius is acting like it might go for another 250K miles!
My wife is ready to buy model Y the last six months. Waiting for the new model Y. I have 2021 model 3. I thought about getting the new 3. Waiting to see cost of cybertruck in Canada first
X & S should be upgraded & RIght Hand Drive model made available in major Right Hand Markets
Greatly appreciate the knowledge and experience you two share with us each week. I can only imagine the fascinating debates you engage in are similar to some of the board discussions at Tesla. If I cannot be a mouse in the corner there, I'll take front row center watching Randy and Larry.
How would this be possible with the amount of cyber trucks being produced? Doesn’t make sense
great to hear such good info from 2 great jews.
I am agreeing with Larry tonight. Even when he politely disagrees with Randy. Yeah it’s possible…
Tesla has missed opportunities for the last 2 years and is on track to miss another year, because they haven’t introduced the Model Y improvements and haven’t introduced another new model like the “2.5”. Tesla needs a successful Auto business to fund everything else they are working on. If they don’t grow that they will hurt everything else.
There is so many holes in RoboTaxi that Larry has done a great job explaining.
They can take debt
Of about $50B
That would help :)
Sales have not dropped for the Cybertruck. It is not available in the rest of the world.
7:22 did sales fall off? Or did they throttle down product? Also, I believe they never really ramped up production of the Model 3 Highland because they’re anticipating change over to the interim lower cost production on the existing lines.
11:03 I would say you have no idea what is being planned internally. I think the slow ramp of Model 3 and the timing of Juniper are related to the interim production method planned for existing lines. Steer by wire, 48v architecture, front and back castings, etc. Do you read these comments Randy? Let me know if I’m wasting my time.
While it is no longer humanly possible to read them all, I read a lot.
The Cybertruck is Osbourning (new word) the Model Y for me for now. Also, the promised new Model Y supposedly next year is also Osbourning the current model Y for me. I turned down the offer of the Foundation Series Cybertruck Dual Motor a couple weeks ago.
8:50 It’s not going to matter. They made the decision to limit the number of models so they can have distinctly different cars in the major categories, while sharing parts and optimizing supply chain. That approach has been wildly successful. When they solve autonomy they will divorce themselves of the conversations that obsess over the ebb and flow of cyclical car business.
Points well taken!
Thanks.
My house has doubled in price in less than 5 years. Most of my net worth right now is in the house. Kids think it’s ugly but will reap the reward.
Cybertruck seems to be picking up pretty well.
Model Y is a hatchback big difference to Model 3
That 25x projections from "todays" price, instead of 2700 (which is Cathies 13x from "todays" price)... all these predictions are for 2029...? (5 years from now)... why not mentioned the date you mean...??
I think Elon should hire Larry to do a presentation or two to the board and the executive team, including the Techno King himself, about why it's still important to continue to produce more compelling vehicle models, even in the face of reprioritization toward autonomy and embodied AGI.
America is the land of pickup trucks! EV buyers might well be willing to wait for Cybertruck. Good call Randy.
Randy, I love your content, love your coverage on tesla and macro ecenomics and the guests are ACE! I recently found your channel, Ive supported you this week by buying 2 of your books about Elon. Keep up the great work, cheers from Sweden!
❤❤❤
Larry Goldberg for president!
7:36 there’s no way. Cybertruck is in a completely different category than Model Y and Model 3. Not only are they way different price tiers, but three totally different use cases.
It's about the buyer. Truck buyers usually only consider trucks. Tesla buyers consider all Teslas, including the Cybertruck.
@@Dularr Uh. No. There’s a difference between a $130k Cybertruck and a $35k Model 3. Majority of people can’t afford the top tier.
@@tb2m what makes the Cybertruck a top tier vehicle? Towing? Range? Cost?
I would buy a tesla in a heart beat if they had VtoG /Vto H. So would many others.
I guess special interests, which are mostly corporate interests, have no involvement in writing today’s laws?
Larry is the O.G
Could it be that programming jobs are entering recession because their jobs are being taken by AI?
Model 3 very different to the Model Y
7:04 first off your survey only had 158 responses which is a small sample size. I believe there’s inherent bias in your sample selection. Also, the framing of your question is flawed because you’re talking about a hypothetical world where Cybertruck doesn’t exist.
10:09 If you believe in a future where FSD is solved and every Tesla on the road will become a money printing machine, then there will come a time when you kick yourself for selling or getting rid of any Tesla. They are going to become much more valuable. Better to hang onto as many as you’re able to.
Obsolescence is accelerating
Some of that intergenerational wealth transfer is a class of very tired old homes that were not constructed to last a century.
In most areas the value of the land is far greater than even the value of a brand new home. Moreover, unless there is foundation issues, it is quite smart to fix up old homes, even if you ALMOST start over.
@@RandyKirk_RUclipsChannel Thanks for that advice, Randy. We will have to look at what we live in today and consider it from the new perspective, as if it were an empty property.
It is not only that Tesla 'must' drive the price of EVs below the price of ICE vehicles. That of course makes good business sense, however, we must as shareholders and customers also understand that Tesla is so incredibly competent at managing costs of materials and of production that they CAN drive the price of electric vehicles FAR below the price of internal combustion engine vehicles. It will only be a few years now, and everyone will see that for commute and ride hail and similar travel there is nothing better than a Tesla. We have not yet begun to see the shocks this will cause.
But Stephen mark Ryan is adamant we just need one model and Tesla is always right.
Why Not 123400X ?
I thought the Dutch East Indies Company was the biggest in history.
Ride Hailing? What is a Juniper? I have been away. Thanks for your report.
Ride hailing is what Robataxi does. Like Uber. Juniper is the upgraded Model Y due in early 2025.
@@RandyKirk_RUclipsChannel Thanks, I was tweaking you on the spelling. I have not yet listened to the entire session. What dates do you and Larry have for expecting L5 by Tesla to be realized? A specific year/month?
Tesla the Cybertruck production ramping every day- in comparison Optimus x 10 ramping everyday, constantly upgrading every 6 months, the brain Ai compute upgrading every day, battery energy density upgrades into the future beyond belief, armies and armies of Optimus, utopia, how long ? NOT long 2025-2026-2027 millions
Or the stock went up because Delaware decision is most likely over. Not hard lol
CT is getting overproduced and have lackluster demand, forcing Tesla to use extended parking spaces, to keepup with production. The bubble has to burst at a certain point🤔. Wish all those 4680s got used in M3/MY instead.
Bring the bloody things to ‘stralia WE ARE BUSTING
😂😂
Im still waiting on my $39,990 Cybertruck.
More pump and dumb
25x LOL.
Where?
Supervised ride hailing is the stupidest business idea I have heard for a long time.
Who would want to make sure all is working well for a few months or so, when you can jump in and just pray.
Well thought out 😂
Electrified (Dillon Loomis) reported on what Jim Farley said. RK likes to claim he is the only one reporting on something when in most cases Dillon has also reported on it. AND Dillon reports on a lot of things RK does not, including the VERY telling meeting between JPMorgan and Tesla's Director of Investor Relations, which contradicts one of Randy's pie in the sky narratives. I guess it is not a surprise RK cherry picks the news to favor his agenda.
I love Dillon's show, and a huge part of any business plan is to differentiate your business model from the others who do generally what you do. So I don't go into some areas that Dillon covers, I don't do extensive coverage of CNBC talking heads like Steven, I don't have groups of experts like Tesla Bulls. I specifically set out to give you Tesla information that is important to understanding the fundamentals of Tesla, then the fundamentals of the general economy, then how various markets might react to the economic fundamentals, then finally, how Tesla stock might react to all of it.
@@RandyKirk_RUclipsChannel And yet you refuse to talk about what Tesla's Director of Investor Relations told JPMorgan. AND I know you are aware of it. You can try and spin it all you want but your ignoring that news and refusing to tell people about it is blatant cherry picking. AND you continue to claim you are the only one reporting on some things when that is false.
I'm a retired engineer, but I still love math
