Yes, LOVE how excited you are, it's absolutely infectious. I definitely need to look into getting a standing desk and walking pad, I work from home and am at a desk way too much. Maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas. I just finished A Curious Beginning last week and I'm SO EXCITED for the rest of the series. And Jayme is the best, that's for dang sure.

I'm 5' 8" too, and I've been trying to get my desksetup to wokr for me for MONTHS. Standing desks help so much. I finished When the Coffee Gets Cold, but it fell in the "that was fine" category for me

Hi Katie - Have you tried any of the Lady Julia Grey Mysteries by Deanna Raybourn? I was going on and on to my friend about Veronica Speedwell and she said she loves the Veronica books but the Julia Grey books are her favorite. Once I make it through the Veronica series (on book 4), I may have to move on to Julia Grey. I don't know how they are going to even compare to Veronica/Stoker though...💓😍
Has anyone found out which walking pad it is?
I dont understand us deliveries, do they just leave them on your doors and porches, not even knocking on the door to see if anyones home to receive the package? Thats weird.

Where im from, spain, the delivery person knocks on the door, and if youre not there takes the package back to the post office. They can call and leave it at a neighbours, or call to schedule another delivery time, but they mostly leave you a note letting you know you have a package at the post office. And you have to sign, and or give your id number when you receive it.
So leaving it at your door unattended is so bizarre to me

I was so bored and disinterested in the first half of this book. I told myself I needed to finish it because I hadn't had any major flops in 2023 and I needed to know if this was going to truly be a contender for Worst Books of the Year.
But, wow, this came through in the second half. I was gasping. Fist to mouth. Stamping feet.
I hate to say "Just read 50% of the book before it gets good" But, unfortunately, I'm here to say just that. If you don't want to devote that much time to figure out if you're going to enjoy a book then I totally understand. But if you're interested in this book and are slogging through the beginning, just push on. It WILL get better.
