Did they actually do that? Holy crap that's wild!! 😂😂 but seasme street did a Miami vice character? I've never heard or seen that munch was on seasme street was it a cameo or was he just voice acting? Same with the Miami vice character was it a cameo or just a voice actor just curious what yiu meant by that
Sorry for all the questions I'm not sure you'll ever see this but your comment caught my attention and was hoping you could explain it to me..and if possible could you send a link
Saw one of his comedy specials where he talked about how a real criminal stumbled upon where they were filming a raid scene for Homicide and surrendered. He asked for leniency on the guy's behalf due to realizing that he'd surrendered to actors rather than real cops was punishment enough.
I was SO disappointed they didn’t have a blink and you’ll miss it cameo of Munch in Treme. I could imagine him being on vacation down there and the camera sweeps across a second line and there he is just enjoying himself.
Fun fact: back in 1978 he had a bit part as an unnamed man in a rowboat in a skit where a dog steals their lunch on Sesame street. How funny they made a Muppet of him later!!
He played an M.C. in the 1980 movie "FAME", but was credited as "himself". Lot of big stars in that: Isaac Mizrahi & Montgomery McNeil's actor went on to star on ER, not to mention Coco/Irene Cara.
So does this mean that Homicide: Life on the Street, the Law and Order shows, X-Files, the Wire, and Arrested Development exist within the same universe?
Hey Insider, can you do this requested video called "Elliot Stabler is Everything"? Because Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) has popped up in shows from Law And Order: Special Victims Unit to Happy and Sesame Street. Christopher Meloni played Elliot Stabler for 12 seasons. Thanks
RIP Richard Belzer. Detective Munch will live forever.
He is not dead ??? 🧐
@@felixbertil95 He is dead! He died at the age of 78
Are you telling me that exist a Munch-verse?
All hail Munch. All things serve the snow globe.
Technically the St. Elsewhere universe too
Like Chigo said. This universe goes all the way back to St. Elsewhere, and The X Files is one of the Lynchpins.
A Munch multiverse more like.
Heaven.
This Munch character is a legend, that even Sesame Street created a muppet version of him.
Just like they did with Miami Mice.

0:43 wtf was that Muppet Elliot Stabler walking behind? Lol
Yes. On Sesame Street.
Good catch
The Muppet version of Munch and Elliot appeared on Sesame Street in a skit called Law And Order: Special Letters Unit.
Rest in peace Richard, you gave us loads of great moments
And Andre.
Richard Belzer is the man
He deserves a complete Spin-off series or Tv movie
He does, but would he do it? I thought he left SVU because he wanted to retire.
Nothing beats him and Ice T, best team ever.
munch: the legend arises
@@spirittammyk forced retirement.
I think Homicide is the closest to a Munch-centered show. They even had an episode with young Munch flashbacks.
What a great actor will never be forgotten never R.I.P munch 🥺😢
6 networks. You forgot his appearance on "The Beat" (UPN) as well as a cameo on Jimmy Kimmel (ABC)
Saw one of his comedy specials where he talked about how a real criminal stumbled upon where they were filming a raid scene for Homicide and surrendered. He asked for leniency on the guy's behalf due to realizing that he'd surrendered to actors rather than real cops was punishment enough.
I do not doubt that Richard's portrayal of Detective John Munch inspired many to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
I was SO disappointed they didn’t have a blink and you’ll miss it cameo of Munch in Treme. I could imagine him being on vacation down there and the camera sweeps across a second line and there he is just enjoying himself.
Rest In Peace the great Richard Belzer 🙏🏿🕊️

This is the moment when Richard Belzer became John munch
The world according to John Munch!
First saw him in X-Files, but didn't knew who he was then.
Same here.
Add another "appearance". The British TV show Luther. The main character tells his subordinate to send something to John Munch in New York.
Another appearance on Fame, the movies, for a stand-up.

So does this mean that Homicide: Life on the Street, the Law and Order shows, X-Files, the Wire, and Arrested Development exist within the same universe?
Yep and those shows all ended up being in the same universe as St Elsewhere which is also in the same universe as Cheers.
0:43 The Muppet version of Munch appeared in a spoof called Law And Order: Special Letters Unit on Sesame Street
