I typically don't like audiobooks myself....I think my mind tends to wander. The only audiobook I've been able to enjoy was boy's life by robert mccammon, narrated by George Newbern. His voice was good for the tone/setting of the story.

YESSSSSS. No Country for Old Men is my favorite McCarthy. Although I will say you picking it up and Stoner is very disappointing to Steve Donoghue

Owen I’ve been surprised at the reaction to Wind and Truth and I think from what I’ve heard it surprised Sanderson too. What percent of the criticisms that you’ve seen were……culture war motivated?

It's difficult to ignore these "supermarket" authors.
They are all over youtube and social media, when you're searching for book content they are there, more than the classics that have stood the test of time. So it's hard not to hate them for "polluting" everything with their fast food novels.

I hear you, but you could live for 1000 years and never read every “great” book ever written. Not worth the energy to hate on anything when there is so many alternatives elsewhere
