I was part of the orchestra and there were many times we got halfway through a piece and somebody would skip. We had about 5 hours to record and we used almost all of it haha.
Rob...I spent my entire adult life in the entertainment industry...I was a lighting and sound engineer for the best of the best entertainers in the world, from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and more....this took my breath away and made me cry...it is just wonderful. Thank You!!!

I refuse to believe this is a high school orchestra. What talent! And the few moments you can see the conductor's face, he is so proud. I also love how him and the students all have their own little decorations/hats/eyepatches to match the pieces as well. I never had an experience like this in high school. The fact that they all showed up and put in the time outside of normal classes, rehealsals, performances to make this happen and have it be such a beautiful success amazes me. These kids deserve the best they can get, and so does the conductor, because he's clearly loved and respected. Truly awesome video. Maybe even some good reactions that were cut out too? Was it all done in one day?
@@thec-m well for starters we’d been working on this music for months with lots and lots of rehearsals, and then the recording day was about five hours of us waiting for a chance to play and then trying to get a good reaction to use for this video. We got breaks and overall it was super fun, but it took a lot of time and hard work to make it a reality!

When you pulled the curtain down and showed the orchestra it made me feel as if I was actually there experiencing it. This is amazing. John Williams is my favorite composer and I love his music. His music is what makes those movies. Without his music these movies wouldn't be what they are. Plus film music is the best music. This is so amazing. As someone who went to Lafayette I love this, while I wasn't in orchestra myself I remember sitting in on all my sister's concerts it's amazing to see it now that we're gone and it getting donations to a new auditorium. ❤️
