  • Yang Style Tai Chi 24 Form is often learned as pure movement choreography. In this lesson I delved into the concept of feeling "less friction" and how it's an important element to understanding Tai Chi movements. This lesson goes over how to simplify your movements, focus on intentionality, and maintain your centering for effective practice.
This is the first time I am posting a RUclips lesson in vertical format. Please let me know in the comments if you like the vertical format and I can make more videos in this format.

I have a question after I do my warmups in what order should I do, Qi Gong, Tai Chi Posting and Tai Chi 24 form? I’m new to this, I just want to make sure I do my training properly. Thank for the videos.

I don't think the exact order matters as long as each component is integrated with the other so your layering the understanding with your practice. For example, you can do your still pose practice first to to get a feel of the structure but when you do your form practice you need to make sure you're also bringing the feeling of the correct structure into the form. If you do form first, you should be aware if you feel out of balance or disconnected in any parts of your form, then you should do posture practice for that part to get a feel of the correct structure and then bring that back into your form. Everything should layer into everything else, nothing is practiced mindlessly or independently of the other. Hope that helps and happy practicing!

      耐心細答也!提議做每一個定式都先驗查外三合,然後再輕鬆下沉,舒鬆就可以!
