So glad I saw is when the Movie was released so many years ago. Have loved Lara’s Theme ever since. The movie is just wonderfully beautiful and I watch it on DVD often.
I have watched it for 40 years and I am 50 now. Every time I watch it I learn something new. It is particularly important now with what Russia is doing in the Ukraine. In the scene where the lady runs by the train and jumps on after throwing her baby on board first, the actor in real life fell under the rain and had both legs almost severed.
The most beautiful, sweeping music ever ... This is for my sister, who passed away 6 months ago, after a 4.5 years battler against cancer. We will meet again.
Yes a brilliant film, but then Lean was a genius... even the way he encouraged Jarre to compose the theme song. Largely shot in Spain during a scorching summer, incredible.
To be loved so deeply by two women..this is what love is where all to care about is the happiness and safety of the one you love. Both women were devoted and even sadder is that he loved them both so much.
I was born in 1965 - the year of release of this movie. After rolling down through so many years, the movie & its signature tune - Lara's theme are still so romantic,so painful & so much haunting, that words can hardly express the feelings existing deep inside the soul. ❤❤❤
This film is based on Nobel prize winner Boris Pasternak' s novel Dr.Zhivago. Lara, in fact was based on a real life character.Olga Ivinskaya- the inspiration for the character of Lara in Doctor Zhivago- was Boris Pasternak's mistress during the turbulent decade and a half that ended with his death in 1960. She was imprisoned in a Labour camp, twice during Staln' era for having associated with Pasternak. Olga had written her memoirs in later years: A CAPTIVE OF TIME- My Years with PASTERNAK- Olga Ivinskaya- Pub: Collins/Harvill London 1978

This movie presents the reality of life as crude and rude as it is. No fantasies no nice guys no happy endings. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life. One of the greatest love novels/films I’ve ever watched, it’s extraordinary and brings out so many emotions I have not seen in a long time when watching a movie. The ending especially breaks my heart seeing him die trying to run to the love of his life. I just like to imagine what would have happened if they had met the first time they saw each other back on that train in Moscow all the way at the beginning.

The film was made in Madrid in 1963/64. The scenes containing snow at the dacha are actually beeswax. When the actors started singing socialist songs the spanish police came around terrified that the still raw emotions from the Spanish Civil war were flaming up again.
At our wedding the church organist, who was a close family friend, always played this when the bride and groom went through the back to sign the register. Ours was the last wedding he played at as Parkinson’s stopped him from playing, always brings back memories of my wedding and a great organist.

איזה חתיך עומר שריף ואיזה סרט מקסים והמנגינה המופלאה מתגעגעת
El actor más bello que existió,nadie podrá igualar esos ojos, esa expresión y su porte.😊
First watched the movie when I was a teenager (am now 62), not understanding how painful and sweet Love could be, while you had a legal wife awaiting and thinking of you at all times, elsewhere.
La película más linda y más romántica los mejores paisajes, el amor y la música!!!!!!!!
I adore this film, nearing 50 times having seen. Once upon a time I knew of love like this, it overtakes you.
This movie, makes me miss my Grandmother Helen Povesco Yansick rip 💎💛🌹🌿 you were so kind to us alll 🙏🏼🏞️⛰️🙏🏼☀️ 🛡️ 🌟🙏🏼
Your story is touching and amazing. I also heard this melody while watching a movie many years ago, and it has been playing in me ever since. When I had the opportunity, I created a music video for this tune. You might like him. ruclips.net/video/2lwOGKbVKwI/видео.html
Sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful.. soooo amazing.. sooo everything
The film was made in Madrid in 1963/64. The scenes containing snow at the dacha are actually beeswax. When the actors started singing socialist songs the spanish police came around terrified that the still raw emotions from the Spanish Civil war were flaming up again.
One of the greatest, classic Movies of all Time and great Music. ❤
Как же я люблю этот фильм и потрясающую мелодию, сопровождающую его. Гениально!👏🌹❤️
Amo esta música y la película es la más hermosa que he visto. Doctor Zhivago mi película favorita ❤❤❤
I love this film from Japan
At our wedding the church organist, who was a close family friend, always played this when the bride and groom went through the back to sign the register. Ours was the last wedding he played at as Parkinson’s stopped him from playing, always brings back memories of my wedding and a great organist.
Cómo no emocionarme cada vez que escucho está bella melodía me trae hermosos recuerdos 🇨🇱
