DEADPOOL is known for breaking the fourth wall in both the comics and the movie. In fact, his jokes get so meta that it’s hard to catch them all. Sure, there are the obvious ones where he talks to the camera, but there is so much more than that going on! In this episode, I PROVE that the Deadpool movie contains a HUGE Meta-joke that went entirely unnoticed by all of us…Until Now!

Plot twist: This theory was written by Deadpool to make it seem like Deadpool wrote the only good Deadpool movie.
Plot twist: This comment was written by Deadpool to divert attention from Deadpool writing his own movie
plot twist: Deadpool replied to the comment above to retrieve the attention back to him to make people think he wrote the movie
plot twist deadpool died ten years ago and this is his daughter
Plot twist, Deadpool wrote and directed all of the GOOD M. Night Shyamalan!
Plot Twist: Deadpool owns all the channels above and is replying to himself just to fuck with people.
I saw a kid getting beat up by a group of 5 guys, so Deadpool came in to help. That kid couldn't stand a chance against the 6 of them.

Lmao
Lol
lol
Marcos Amparo hahaha how original
The fact that Deadpool has mentioned Ryan Reynolds before this one even plays him in the movies is creepy af.
Blade 3.
deadpool was like ryan renolds dream role, so in the movie it is vice versa. ryan renolds is deadpools dream actor. it was well known he wanted to be deadpool so in the comics they referenced it
how is it creepy lol? they prob reached out to ryan to play deadpool. and if it were just a coincidence, i dont think its creepy at all.
@@gemkeys2087 he also was playing a deadpool in wolverine origins
@@gemkeys2087 IIRC, Ryan pushed himself as DP after a "mysterious" leak of an animated version of the 1st scene in the movie was released, before the movie was even greenlit. The studio saw the Internet go nuts over the release and finally relented even though they really had no faith in an R-rated superhero movie.... but it's been a while and I could be misremembering.

It would be the greatest thing ever if Deadpool acknowledged this video in the movie.

"No one would naturally say this"
I say stuff like that all the time, pretending to break the fourth wall.

Everyone's talking about how Deadpool ate icecream without a spoon but I'm here thinking about how he ate it with a mask on...

Theory: Reality was created solely so Deadpool has someone to talk to when he breaks the fourth wall. Everything you do or say was supplied to you by deadpool himself.
Richard Smith woah
Actually in the comic Deadpool kills Deadpool he is the creator of reality’s or something along those lines
But do you think Deadpool wants to know his secret? If yes he would’ve done so long ago. And he supplied this theory to you. I think that fly in your pfp actually created the universe.
I wouldn’t mind
That means i was created by deadpool for deadpool?
Guys, this might sound crazy, but I think Film Theory's writer might be Matpat

coolho2 What if the writer is DEADPOOL!?
What if... YOUR WRITER WAS DEADPOOL?
WHAT IF MY WRITER IS DEADPOOL?!??
I love the "16 walls" joke because that wall break, in itself, was actually the 16th wallbreak.
Deadpool is better at jokes than logic. you can't break a wall while its being broken. At best its a broken wall #4.1
BravoBlanc i also like it because 4x4 equals 16
I see it more as an 4th-wall break from Deadpool and an 4th'n'8th-wall break from Deadpool's past.
S Blower 256th wall joke. we can do this all day, deadpool!
I think that he literally meant that it was the 16th of 23 '4th wall breaks' (or 24 if you consider this whole theory video).
Somebody tell MatPat that Deadpool believes we are there, and while we are, he is technically insane, so he is actually accidentally breaking the fourth wall by believing he is due to insanity.
Ok but what if you're not actually real.
Rid me that hmmm. 🤔😂

I'm hoping that the second deadpool deadpool would be all like
"Oh, Vanessa? Yeah, we broke up..."

about that....
Uhh you guys know that there's a series in Marvel called "Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe" where Deadpool travels interdimensionally into OUR universe and kills the artist that's drawing him after literally killing everyone in the Marvel universe. And the artist draws his own death. I'm surprised that no one's mentioned this... which is why this theory is perfectly plausible. I mean I think this is probably one of MatPat's most plausible theories ... except I'm a little disappointed he didn't mention that story arc.
YES, thank you for pointing that out, that detail really sold this theory for me. The fact that deadpool can do something like that pretty much means anything is possible with this dude
Ikr when is saw this video I was think about the comics where he kills the marvel universe, the killestrated story and the deadpool vs deadpool
Rip Pandapool... Rip...
Because it’s not canon
THIS IS FILM THEORY NOT COMIC THEORY
I've watched film theory for so long, that the intro song, is one of my jams now
Actually, 4th wall breaks can go over slow-mo to frame pause. so it is possible to use literal matrix style acrobatics to do some of those tricks like the triple headshots that deadpool use by breaking the 4th wall
GUARDIANS THEORY: WHY IS GAMORA
Andrew LaVallee idk what that means?
Why is she?
It's a reference to Infinity War.
How is gamora
Thank you, that was my favorite line in the movie lol
Film Theory: Starring MatPat.

I would say that ... It sounds funny and people's reactions to 4th wall breaks irl are hilarious. XD
Guardians Idea: How to understand Groot like Rocket does.
and how could a walkman work over nearly 4 decades?
theory nokia secretly made it
Through Practice and long time relationships.
As was stated in the comics that Groots Language is in the way he says "I am Groot" wavelenghts emotions everything like that.
The walkman working is not the issue (I have one from the 1980s and it still works 100% fine as does cassettes); its wondering where the heck he got batteries for it.
Or more importantly, how the fuck gravity worked in the core there.
You forget that deadpool can master any weapon he touches as stated in his comics
TheEgamer but this is the marvel movie universe. it's different. it was never specified here.
Exactly. Man, I thought matpat would do more research before making a video like this. Not even knowing the heroes powers is pretty bad.
BlueZombieBlood the MCU is very different from the comic universe. Like when in the MCU, it's Peter, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are the guardians of the Galaxy. While in the comics, it's the Ravagers that are the guardians of the Galaxy.
Trocer but half the information he sights is from the comics. For example, he talks about how he got his power of regeneration from wolverine but if this doesn't follow the comics then why would that information matter.
BluezombieBlood He brings up that the comic Deadpool gets his powers from Logan because he then goes on to point out that in the movie, Deadpool doesn't, and his healing factor was a dormant mutation of his own, which'd make him appear more special in his own movie.
Why is no one talking about how the teaser for DEADPOOL 2 was nothing like the movie
Because Deadpool is deadpool
Do one that *Who was Gamora’s mother?” Plz

Guardians Of The Galaxy Theory: How Does Yondu's Whistle Weapon Work.
About to comment the same thing. That weapon is so cool.
I agree. It would be so awesome to have one of those.
Just so you know yondu dies in vol 2 by freezing in space
I'm glad you told me after I saw the film
I hate all of you :P
12:20 "Nobody would naturally say this!"
Me, who's literally said this: 👍
You could do a guardians theory that groot's species is part of the world tree from captain America the fist avengers.
Here's a good on theorists. Is it possible to calculate how many days Bill Murray lived in that time warp in Groundhog Day? Depending on how long it takes to learn piano and chainsaw ice sculpt. Even if you practice everyday. I put it between 7 to 20 years.
Wyldequinn That would be an interesting theory to see Matpat go through.
Wyldequinn It actually *has* been confirmed by the director that it would indeed take years to get to know everyone as well as he did, and to master the skills he acquired, such as the piano and carving ice sculptures with a chainsaw. I think he said that it would take like 7 years, as you estimated. On the other hand, I do agree it'd be interesting to see *exactly* how long it really was. Or better yet, *why* he got stuck in a time loop.
Wyldequinn the director has said 10 years, but...
uk.movies.yahoo.com/how-long-was-bill-murray-stuck-in-groundhog-day-87693101006.html
i heard on a website last year about how Phil (Bill Murray) kept track of how many days he was stuck by reading one page of a book on the inn's bookshelf each day. I don't remember anything like that happening in the movie though.
Edit: I found the website. It was actually an unused idea by screenwriter Danny Rubin
I watched a theory on that. I...thought it was on here but I guess not. I think they said 50 years! Just from all the skills he had to master with how long that can take.
Do a a theory about Stan Lee being god or a watcher
Gaspar Lopez yeah
Gaspar Lopez have you seen gotg 2?
No theory needed for a number of reasons
it was confirmed already by Marvel
He ends up just talking to the Watchers instead of being one
There was a 3rd complimentary title in the opening credits that you even mentioned yourself: "A Beautiful Woman." Some may say it's neutral, but that would actually just be "A Woman." At most, it's cliché, but it's still a compliment. Oh, and Deadpool said they took that idea from Honest Trailers.
2:50 oh mat, you don't know how much will the bar for what is absured for you is gonna be lowerd in the next few years
So, wait? We have a theory that says Deadpool was written by Deadpool to make himself look good. Now surely us knowing that he wrote the film (which is epic) also makes Deadpool look good? Does that in fact mean that Deadpool also wrote the theory that Deadpool wrote Deadpool? I.e. was MatPat employed by Deadpool to make this video so we could all see Deadpool's genius?
That's like breaking the 4th wall about a film breaking the 4th wall where the 4th wall is broken in a 4th wall break. That's like 256 walls!
Wow! Never thought of that.
Than deadpool told you to write that comment to make him look even better
YTB Gamer and Deadpool told u to write this so we could know that that guy wrote that comment because Deadpool told him too.....*and the loop goes on* 😂😂😂
And you were hired by Deadpool making that over 1,000! WALL BREAKS!
At the end of GOTG Rocket brings back Groot by planting one of the sticks. If he planted all of them would he have an army of Groots?
I'm pretty sure that Groot has seeds, since in a scene when they're preparing for battle, Groot plucks off a seed from a branch growing off his face.
Kenny MacInnes you saw cinemawins too?
Kenny MacInnes THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING
Been saying this for years. Also don't understand how the heck Mantis can knock out Ego, who is a whole planet, but not Thanos, who doesn't even have all of the Infinity Stones.
Only MatPat can make a 13 minute video about a wink and make it interesting.
11:43 I know this is old but the reason why the glass doesn't shatter is because before when deadpool was in it the chamber was air sealed making it easier to break open idk if it's true but it's just my idea
Hey MatPat, you should do a theory about if Nebula could really survive her mutations made by Thanos. Like he removed her BRAIN, you should tell us if she'd actually survive all of the torture or if she'd die before that.
Shai Irene oh good idea! Although his Ghost in the shell theory might be pretty similar...
Shai Irene That is a really great idea 💡
Yes!
I don't mean to be a tiny bit condescending about this but, he removed all of that should have killed her anyway unless he had master space surgeons do it for him , but she says it was painful so he probably did it himself leaving her to patch things up herself with blood everywhere. So she should be dead
Shai Irene i
Deadpool is such a marvel to watch..

The Theorizer hey!! Theorizer!
Sometimes I like to go back to the film theory classics and this is my favorite by far 💚
Yup this series is one of the best ( I’d also recommend the hunger games
In Deadpool 1 we can see that Deadpool upgraded his suit so that he can speak with a clean sound maybe the fabric of his mask at this place isn't so tight and molted ice cream can simply came through the material
And that's the reason why he need no spoon

Guardians of the Galaxy theory suggestion: Does Star-Lord's helmet actually help him survive in space? If not' what is its purpose?
It's too small to have an air tank AND he survives a short time in space before Yondu picks him up (due to his heritage) so....... What's it for?
Thomas Tressel You could've easily used google to answer your question, and it does have a back up air supply for space and pressure support. Done.
i dont know if you have seen vol2 but in that it is reveald that he is the son of a god and he is immortal as log as his dads power supply is active
I haven't seen it. Also Blue Vision, I know I can do that. I could also do that for every other theory video ever.
Thomas Tressel Go watch Nerdist's last because science video. You could survive in space that long so starlord definitely could. And his mask has an air supply
Thomas Tressel Could a planet be alive?
My mom was not trained in special forces, but both her parents were, and I'm pretty sure if she could do a flip like deadpool, she would. I already know she can do a quadruple headshot while her targets are on the move. There's footage of it from when she was trying to get into the military. They only tured her down because of her asthma, hip displasia, and mental illness history.
... also, due to growing up reading fourth wall breaking comics, I always think of opportunities as "farthing the plot" and will occasionally say so out loud
cant believe mat said that a theory about groot's speech would be boring but then he proceeded to make it fun

me:why?
1:01 the fact that ALL of the theory ideas he lists are
1. answered in later movies, or
2. He answers himself 😂
It doesn't suprise me that the Deadpool movie would be "written" by Deadpool because the Deadpool game is all about him making the game while you're playing the game.
did you watch the whole video too? :0
Matpat come on, the science of the infinity stones, why do they do, what they do
how about is it possible to have an arrow that can follow your commands through whistling, or something like that, i don't know i'm just spit balling here.
You have to do a theory on Howard the Duck! He is the best Marvel character by far, and there is so much to explore (like how he got to the collector or how he talks!)
The CC at 14:13 had me rolling. Nevermind the fact that Deadpool ate icecream without and spoon AND with a mask on XD

I see a mistake in your theory.
Everytime someone calls Wade a hero, he immediately replies that he is NOT A HERO. It's odd that DP, if he is the writer of the script, would refer to the writer as the true heroes
Well that could be explained as Deadpool thinking he's a antihero instead at this point.
I recall it being the other way around, he wants to be a hero but everyone just thinks he's crazy and won't give him the chance. Or if they do, he messes it up. I don't remember him ever being called a hero until he was made an avenger.
Maybe he means he's the hero that is responsible for making the movie, but not a superhero
A Theory could be why there are so many humans in the galaxy, there is strange things like groot, the lados with varius skin colors BUT there is Just so many humanoids in this Galaxy, is the human form the best body that can be expected in other planets with advance life forms?
Pretty sure that's actually explained in the comics, so doing an episode on it would be kinda pointless.
No there a species that a similar to the human race but still have uniqueness, it's mentioned in the comics, and the planet Zandar is a good example.
Just a Noob
There are actually some pretty valid hypotheses as to why a humanoid form could be common in sentient species throughout the universe.
1) Successful species will most likely be carnivorous, as it takes more brains to hunt, than to flee.
2) Having all of the sensory organs on top of the body just makes sense if you wanna be top dog (so to speak.)
3) Having 3-8 digits (including an opposable one) on an appendage is perfect for operating machinery / technology.
There are more reasons that I don't remember, but the point is, it's not totally illogical to imagine spacefaring aliens looking vaguely human.
Aaand, cut!
But that's is only for the comics, this could make a good topic to discuss in how it can be for our own Galaxy.
No cause we're talking about Guardians of the Galaxy not real life and pretty sure if there is any life it's at a microscope or bacteria level
1:08 did he predict the future
Deadpool: eats ice cream with no spoon
Matpat: INTERESTING
Missed the obvious one where Wade is clearly directing the cameraman from behind the camera at the end of the movie. Deadpool on screen is kissing Vanessa, so he cannot be the one talking. I think this is the real nail in the coffin.

Actually, I would really like to see your take on the science behind Rocket Raccoon, but I'd also like to know just how long you think his "not great" lifespan really is and how his biotechnological implants would influence it.
Timeturner same actually now wondering about it
Something matpat would do
The average unmodified earth raccoon lives for 2-3 years. Given that Rocket is still alive in Endgame (5 years after Infinity War), I'd wager his is a bit longer.
@@awesomecat42 That is the case for raccoons in the wild, where hunger, sickness and predators usually mean an early end for them. In captivity, they can live up to 20 years.
Guardians of the galaxy theory: could a small substance the size of an infinity stone destroy a planet?
TheBadPrototype The infinity stones are made of antimatter 😝
That would destroy both the stone and equal matter. The stone would have a high density and would weigh so much it would mess with the planets gravity in order to have enough mass to destroy a planet.
It could need to be a link to a parallel dimension from where it draws the energy. Thinking that the stone were created before the universe they may be outside of the laws of "common" physics giving them properties like "infinite" matter without gravitation, thus allowing a "black hole" kind of density without the gravitational pull nor the weight. Now that i think about it, maybe that is how the eye of aggamoto works, there this theory that black holes by having such a strong gravitation can change space and time. Tho i think its more time than space.
Ups sorry side track. Yes a Infinity stone theory could be dope!
That one's easy. Yes. Certain elements / minerals are more energy dense than others, and some give off radiation or other energies naturally (think Uranium). An infinity stone is just some unknown mineral / element that has an extremely high amount of energy stored inside of it, more than enough to destroy a planet.
Figuring out the math for the amount of energy stored inside a rock that small would be neat, but at best you've got a 4 minute video with a simple answer.
TheBadPrototype OMG YES
"It's established that the world doesn't stop when wade breaks the 4th wall!"
Did I leave the stove on? Wade asked in the car frozen in time.
7:34 he's also got superhuman strenght, speed, durability, reflexes and stamina, which he definetly got in this version too. And also he got ninja skills and other stuff threw out his mercenary carrier.
OMG I knew it....

Great video love the video it was so good and interesting
The ending scene of the game is deadpool sitting in house holding a controller while the game we were playing was playing on his tv, so technically, in the game deadpool, we are playing deadpool who is playing himself in a video game within a video game.
Whoa mattpatt slow down u were almost a rapper there😂
Deadpool forgot to carry weapons?
No problem!
Use camera
A camera is deadlier than a gun
That.... That actually needs to happen.... X-Force needs to have a fight scene where he needs to use the camera or a boom mike
True
Especially when you livestream it and the commenters are on your side.
Nope he will use the forth wall in deadpool 3
No use a pen
The pen is mightier than the sword
So basically when a villain sees a camera man he should expect deadpool
The awareness you can't die gives you commitment mentality and that's why he's so skilled at everything
How about a theory that lots of Marvel fans debate all the time? Are the Stan Lee cameos just a nod to the creator of Marvel? Or is he The One Above All, a Watcher, or just some guy who coincidentally gets caught up in all these crazy circumstances throughout the films? SPOILERS FOR GOTG 2 BELOW
This theory apparently comes from his new cameos in the new GOTG, where he is speaking with a group of men on what appears to be the moon. Many people now think that these are the Watchers (among the universe's first races who record history during very rough times, cough cough impending Infinity War), and as they turn to leave Stan says "Wait... I have more stories to tell!" Not to mention Kevin Feige basically confirmed that all of his cameos are indeed connected.
Katie Tucker a good theory would be how he's the one above all. That'd be the best thing marvel could do to Stan lwe
They already admitted he's a watcher.
What does GOTG stand for, may I ask?
Guardians of the Galaxy

Geek Mangacomic the Fanboy Extraordinaire: he actually can, have you not read or heard of him killing the entire marvel universe before?
Ask Cronixz You should watch Death Battle Deadpool vs Deathstroke.
Geek Mangacomic the Fanboy Extraordinaire 1.I don't ever recall him punching a wall down to break it or anything like that, so how dose he have super human strength?
2. Superhuman reflexes? He got shot quite a few times during this film, seems like regular good trained reflexes to me.
3. Did i miss the part where he turned into sonic or something, because i don't remember his running ability being all that great.
As for the rest, idk, it only really seemed like his one power was his regeneration.
Wait a minute so the writers wrote so that deadpool wrote the story to deadpool dang thats deep
Mat: science about rocket raccoon nobody would like that
Me: what did you just say?
Film Theory:
I wanna know how much power it had to have taken to destroy that celestial.

I like this theory, but give Deadpool more credit, he has more powers than just healing.
Going off of the Marvel Universe Wiki-
"Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. As such, he can regrow severed limbs or vital organs. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. This healing factor also affords Deadpool a virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and an extended life span. Unlike Wolverine’s natural healing factor, Deadpool’s is mentally driven to a partial extent. Due to the presence of this superhuman healing ability, many of Deadpool's natural physical attributes have been enhanced. Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. His natural strength, agility and reflexes have been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body. Deadpool's agility and reaction time are superior to those of even the finest human athlete."
And who do you think WROTE that Wiki entry, smartass?
+Freepo Noggit: Not Deadpool, that's for sure. Unlike the movie, the wiki isn't meant to be fourth wall breaking. Plus, the comics confirm what the wiki says.
Mad Alice You must be fun at parties, fuckface.
Yes, but if you can tell, all of those branch off mutant healing in one way or another
Mad Alice, we know he has way more powers in the comics, but this going on the movie version of Deadpool, and as we've seen, Wade changes details from the comics, so...
11:20 will we not talk about the scratch on her knee
"Keep your pants dry, dreams wet and hugs not drugs"
