I've been lucky enough to drive a number of Porsche, Lambos, McLaren on track and for me, only the McLaren and GT4 RS had a comparable driving experience to the Evora GT. Long live hydraulic steering and small production run manufacturers not being slaves to il thought out EU legislation.
I got mine for much less than that... and I have a 2020 with everything but the titanium. $99k not to say that that’s not a lot of cash it is... but not $130k
How is it that someone gets paid by autotrader to do reviews for them and they can’t even get all the facts straight!?! I purchased a 21 GT almost two months ago, clutch is not heavy at all. Your also $30k off on the price, it’s more like $103k vs $130k! Only option was the paint which if it’s military grey, that’s a $5,900 option on a $97k car. Totally agree it’s a tough price point when you have the c8 and a few other cars for similar-ish money. The GT’s are selling for under MSRP while the C8’s are way over MSRP plus, they are everywhere.....
Ah, yes it does. That's what drove the price up. Without those they are about $99K. $10K for Titanium, another $10 for carbon pack (save 49lbs - not worth it unless you're mega rich), and $6-8 for special paint.
@@guitarnut5754 no it literally doesn’t have the louvered rear or the blued titanium exhaust which would still not take this car in the vid to 130k… unless this is Canada? Not mega rich but the carbon pack is 100% worth it. The car looks entirely different from the non carbon pack evoras
The EVORA finishes this year, The US and UK are only places they being sold to as they are making them til the current stock of parts run out. They stopped supplying to Australia in Feb
The car in this test is a 100K retail vehicle, not $130K. You would need to include the carbon pack , Ti exhaust, LiPo battery, and Lotus' most bespoke livery (and who knows what else) to get anywhere near even $120K. Such options are entirely unnecessary and add very little to the experience. The car you drove is a base model. Did you even look at the window sticker because it has none of those things. You can get a good color (and they all come with forged wheels as standard) making the Evora GT an under $100K proposition in the real world. A thoroughly satisfying and representative Evora GT is easy to find under $100K out the door including tax and tags. And it will include sporting features not included on a base GT4. If you're talking about base cars, the GT is $8K less than a GT4. While there is stuff that can boost the price of any lotus (or Porsche) , it's just icing that even marque enthusiasts can and do happily live without. And most US bound Evoras land right around that $100K price. Lotus knows that there will be more takers for the base car which has all you need and will do very, very nicely. This is not the only error in your review but it is the most egregious one. It's a drag when a supposed authority gets it all wrong as you did in this video. Two years after the car has been introduced, your video adds nothing to the knowledge base about this car and is an un-insightful repeat of data that was better presented elsewhere years ago by many better informed reviewers. Do your research. As this video stands, its inaccuracies are glaringly obvious and should be an embarrassment to a channel that ought to pride itself on being an authority. All you needed to do was look at your own Evora listings in Autotrader to know this. But apparently, you didn't do that important bit of homework. That said, you got the driving dynamics correct and in any Lotus, that's where the magic lives.
I couldn’t have said it better. A completely useless review bandwagoning the same BS everyone else has already said. They should simply delete this video.
It is very unprofessional to state a wrong price :-( 130 vs 107 is crucial. EVORA GT is much better car than Cayman GT4 - GT4 is faster and great but EVORA is having something more impossible to describe with numbers. Porsche is great but Lotus is more...
On straight roads yes. On curvy country roads, Lotuses are typically much better. Light, agile and exactly what they are built for. They brake later before the turn and accelerate earlier in the turn. Once on the gas in a turn, the Lotus almost drives herself.
@@DavidElCid300 I have an auto Evora GT and what EVERY "trying to be edgy" auto RUclipsr says about the auto is complete BS. I used to work in the higher end of the auto industry so have been lucky enough to drive many things and while auto might be not quite as snappy as PDK it is 9/10ths there. If you're happy with the way ZFs operate in sporty BMWs then you'd be happy with this. It changes smoothly when you're not on it, snappy when you're foot's buried, blips down shifts, will change down every time you want it and is better in traffic than DCTs. Only slight downside is I am going to up the power of my car a little and the auto needs a little massaging as well to do this. But said massaging will make it even better. The Roadster has a parts overlap of roughly 6% with the Lotus Elise,[53] a 2-inch-longer wheelbase, and a slightly stiffer chassis according to Eberhard.[54] Tesla's designers chose to construct the body panels using resin transfer molded carbon fiber composite to minimize weight; this choice makes the Roadster one of the least expensive cars with an entirely carbon fiber skin.[53] Wikimedia. The Camry motor is a blessing and a curse. With a Camry engine should come a Camry+ price. This should sell at $55K.

I love Lotus Evora GT
130K? I cant even build one that high on their website lol. You can get them in the low 90's
AUTO version is underestimated. I have driven both and it is not bad at all. Great to have a choice.
I love a casual and conservative sportscar everyday use is a must in my book LOTUS EVORA ALL THE WAY
The clutch isn’t that bad man... I’m not saying it’s light but it’s not a brick either.
Still by far one of the most under rated cars imo but i guess not really a bad thing, hidden gem at least 😊
Most well equipped GTs can be had in the 90s. This must have been packed with every option (carbon roof, titanium exhaust, etc.) and a bespoke paint.
Shoot I got my 2020 with CF etc for $99
How is this specific car $130k? It doesn't have the carbon fiber pack, and (from what I can tell) the titanium exhaust.
We've updated our pricing info in the description, there was a mix-up on our end. The car as-tested is $107,000.
I like this Evora and i like the Evira. Which do I get? Same chassis shared by both?
Great car. Great review. Thanks Jeff Glucker
I love this car and own one. The torque is 317 lb-ft. The 430 is NM. Though mine has been modified way above that.
Don't understand the criticism of the ride or the clutch; they're both absolutely fantastic, as is the Evora generally.

do all Evoras have four seats?
There's also the Alfa 4C
