I’m sure there were gasps from the audience when you said your everyday watch should be more expensive than your evening/dress watch. Your choices back up that opinion. Your status as The Hidden Gems Guy leads me to believe this wasn’t a fluke. Well done, sir.
Some very interesting choices, the Calatrava and ALS would have been in my mind as would something understated from Nomos from a more affordable price point (maybe the Ludwig?) would also be there. The Nomos in this video was terrific option, a model that I had not seen before but certainly fits the bill.
Gotta be honest…. I used to be a guy who had a watch for every occasion. But today, I want one watch that is ‘me’ in all situations. In other words, one watch that represents who I am….always. For me, that watch is the Tudor BB58 blue. It’s all I need.
Just like "weekend watch", "evening watch" is a meaningless category, at least if you think opera and bowling are different evening activities. Why not just present a "dress watch" category instead? Would make more sense.
It depends what you're doing in the evening. If you're going to a professional football game, then a Patek Phillipe Calatrava or an ALS are sort of ridiculous to wear. If you're going out to dinner with your wife, then even if you're all dressed up, I'm not sure a Patek Phillipe or ALS makes sense then either. The Nomos is a great choice BTW. Honestly, I just see no point in spending a lot of money on a pure dress watch...
I really hope the 3 watch collection continues with Mark hosting. This series is a great compliment to Hidden Gems.
All fantastic picks. Never knew about those models of the Nomos & Langhe. Patek is hands down just gorgeous. Dream dress watch for me. Great episode!
Lange. Always the right answer.

Fwiw, my "tool" watch is more expensive than my dress watch, which I tend to baby, because of where and how I would typically wear that dress watch
Hodinkee - You need to make Cole at the Met Gala happen

Awesome watch choices!
Nora and Cole picked pretty well... especially when you consider how unfair it is to have to go up against the Hidden Gems host. HAHAHAHA! :)
I really enjoyed this series, thank you, Mark, excellent idea and execution.
Well done. Great natured.
Nice video mate. 🌎🏌🏽♂️🥃🇺🇸
I love her idea of a night out aha. Hittin up a museum and then going to a nice Italian restaurant!
Classic Mark when he ended the show with the beautiful Nomos🔥
My three watches are Calatrava for dress, 2 tone Submariner for weekends, and Planet Ocean Chronograph orange bezel blk dial and band for everyday.
Great series, really enjoyed these as well as hidden gems. Great work!😎👍

Tudor BB58. On the shortlist if asked 'If you were just going to have one watch, what would you get?'
A Lange and Nomos are absolute 🔥.
For people who are not into watches, this would be insane conversation!
Was the Patek a 3919 or a 5919?

I think he may have been sacked off the RUclips channel when Hodinkee bought C&C! He hasn't appeared since they took over!
@@Andrew.W75 that's a shame. I liked him. Thanks for the info!
