Hi Phil,
With OEM wishbones it is a pain in the ass to to fit. Impossible to insert the 19mm flat spanner between the subframe and wishbone to hold the nut to be able to tighten the bolt from under with the N°8 hexa allen key.
I tried to bond the nuts to the subframe with high quality epoxy glue (not an easy task working blind to smear the glue evenly & properly around the nut, waited 24hrs as per maker's instructions, but it doesn't have enough strength obviously. I'm not keen at all to dismantle the wishbones.
Do you have a hint / suggestion please ?
@@micsub i use a thin 19mm spanner i normally use to work on my bycicles.
@@RotheliRacing Hi Phil, thanks for the quick answer. Yes, I had thought about grinding down a 19mm spanner to have it thin enough.
In between time, this afternoon, it occurred to me that the wishbone was hanging down to it's maximum, (the car is secured on jackstands) and so by jacking up the wishbone to compress the suspension a little, the normal 19mm spanner can then fit through the bigger gap and hold the nut well enough to tighten the strut bolts correctly. And then it really is a quick job.

Hallo Phil … ich hoffe Dir gehts gut … die strebe interessiert mich … Frage - für sportliche Landstraße Einsatz - macht Sie auch Sinn oder nur für Track! Muss das Fahrwerk ich habe KW V4 CS neu abgestimmt werden?
Merkt man den Unterschied spürbar auch im Einsatz sportliche Landstraße?
Freue mich auf eine Antwort?

Man „spürt“ sie ähnlich wie eine normale Domstrebe. Im normalen Fahrbetrieb merkst du nichts.
Ich bilde mir aber ein, die beim schnellen, sportlichen fahren zu spüren.
Und neu abstimmen musst du nichts. Einfach anbauen und fertig. =)

Looking at the subframe design it looks like a potential area for flex but, has that been quantified? I’ve fitted the GR upper strut brace and couldn’t ‘feel’ any difference?. In my R5 GT Turbo you can literally see the flex between the strut towers when you Jack it up (with a tape measure).

I remember you ran Wifbitz stainless steel catback on track, but do you have experiences with Wifbitz titanium catback? They seem reasonably priced for titanium exhaust imo
No idea about their titanium parts.
The stainless fits very well.
