I love this voice! He's not Scott but he's as close you can get without being Scott and this is all I need and I am thankful for that. Jeff is doing a phenomenal job!
Scott Weiland WAS such a talent. At the end, Scott wasn’t Scott anymore. And never would be again. Jeff Gutt is an amazing vocalist in his own right. And there will never be another Jeff Gutt.
They found the best replacement they could and I bet you when Jeff and Scott met up there there will be a big hug and a thank you. You can tell Jeff knows he’s has some huge shoes to fill without step on toes.

Alice in chains new singer is pretty good to it was hard for me to give him a chance because i love staley hes the goat imo but i realize now hes not trying to be layne and honestly he is a really good vocalist.. also van halen was still pretty successful after the david lee roth erra

The hardest position in a band to replace is the singer because the voice is what we love. When the majority of the band decides to continue after a fallen comrade departs us, it's hard to adjust, but if that's what helps us appreciate the other members, I'm for it.
I think his voice is closest to Scott's... Chester was OK but Chester's voice was high pitched and sometimes i was feeling he will start to scream like he used to do on Linkin Park... I love Linkin Park, and i think Chester did a good job but not closest like this guy

Gutt and the DeLeo's did a great job. Kretz on the other hand was apparently having a bad day. He always tends to play a little behind the beat, but the time was fluctuating A LOT, especially on the double downbeats of the snare, and he also botched one of his fills. Example of the time dragging then rushing at 0:50. Otherwise though a great performance, nice to see them still at it.
“All these things, you said to ME.” Man, I always loved the yearning I would hear in Scott’s voice when he would say the “Me” in that line. Good job though, good job.
Robert is soooo good. Really love his playing, especially this track. People always talk about underrated players and my go to is Robert and this song as an example.

When Brian Johnson took over vocals for AC/DC, he said "I am not here to replace Bon Scott, I am here because Bon is here no longer". Great attitude when stepping into such an important role. I wouldn't say Jeff is trying to replace Scott. He is there because Scott can't be. Stepping into an established band would be much harder than being in a new band. You aren't trying to build an audience; rather, you are trying to maintain an existing one. What a tough place to be. So be replicates Scott's onstage antics? Maybe it's out of respect for a deceased member. Maybe he admired what Scott did for his audience. Who knows. Cut the guy some slack. None of us could do it. I admire those who can. It's a talent few are born with.
nope. my heart breaks that Mr. Weiland couldn’t keep it together. he put everything into a performance i saw one when i was a young kid. there was something so beautiful about Mr. Weiland... I'm sure there were lots of other somethings too. I'm just glad i have a memory of him as a beautiful rock star. (Early 2000s). Thank you, my parents.

Finding a replacement singer, after the original's death, worked out well for AC/DC hopefully the same will be said for STP.
