    Flow is… amazing.
I once practiced a song on an instrument, got into flow, and it sounded, amazing.

If you have the skill level to reach that state, then all you need is a confident mindset to reach it, which is easier said than done.
Dunno if this will be helpful, but rather than focus on where you might fail and how bad that will feel, focus on where you'll feel really good if you succeed.

@Cobalt_11 this also applies to singing. Once something is practiced enough you stop trying to remember subtle cues and just do them, you start listening closer to the other voice parts then you ever have. You feel everyone around you and can pick out who's in that flow with you. The only times you exit it is when you're not confident in a section or someone makes a distracting mistake, but you always make it back if its practiced enough.

Flow state is a amazing. Definitely feels a lot easier to enter it when you get enough rest and aren't constantly overstimulating yourself.
Nowadays it's weird because I feel like the only time I can enter flow state is when my brain goes into troll mode fighting my casual friends in a fighting game. Anytime I try to improve at the fighting game, or if anything is on the line I get too distracted by what I "should" be doing, and there's always a tiny part of the brain that reminds me how I've failed a million times in the past, this probably won't change now, so stop wasting time and stop playing the game.
Really gotta get back on my meditation, sleep schedule, and diet. It helps make life feel like easy mode I swear. Just hard 'cuz once I get tired, it kinda triggers my younger gamer self's thought process of "Oh we're tired? It must be mindless grind time now to make sure everything is completed quickly". Really hard habit to remove.

    • @DragoNate

Wait...so that's why games are so fun, because you're in flow mode! That makes sense.

    • @keeshuunedited5678
      @keeshuunedited5678 4 месяца назад +3

@@nowonmetube Depends on the kind of game you are playing. Look at Csikszentmihalyi's flow state chart.
Like you're not going to be in flow state playing Animal Crossing. That game is too relaxing to get anyone into flow state since it's all about enjoying the little moments and taking your time.
Though a lot of games with perceived challenge in mind trigger flow state for sure. Souls-like, shooters, rhythm games, racing and so on. The games you love the most will likely know how to trigger your flow state the best if you love it for gameplay reasons.
I'm just biased towards fighting games for the past few years because I used to swap from the previous genres so quickly, and it never felt like there was much depth. I grew up playing Chess, and fighting games feels like playing blitz chess except both players have unique tools to adapt to, so that's probably why I love fighting games so much.
Now there's one game off the top of my head that I'm extremely addicted to that I love for gameplay that I'm not sure if it's flow state or not and that's Rain World. Though I have a feeling it's really really good at dipping you in and out of flow state in a way I don't get from any other game.
I highly suggest the game, and avoiding spoilers (though it's mostly environmental storytelling, which is a nice breath of fresh air from all the lore shoved in your face from most games). That said, do expect it to feel a bit BS if you haven't played anything like it before. I actually hated it at first because I wasn't in the right mindset as I was expecting a different type of game. Later I tried it again and gosh darn I'm so hooked like you wouldn't believe.

A cow that has been locked up in a barn, sure, doesn't have much to think about it. It's also why it's a crime that they don't get the stimulation of outside life and learning the highs and lows of survival.

I'm hoping to find some stability where my fears aren't validated to get back there.

I do tend to question myself a lot, but for there to be self improvement Isn't there a little bit of questioning to do to identify and fix the problem? I don't know for sure, I am just viewer that is curious is all but maybe it would help me understand a little better.
