thank you so much! My grandmother gifted me this camera. It belonged to my grandfather who died 13 years ago. I wanna get it working for my vacation :)
Awesome reviews mate cheers I picked up a bag of 6 point n shoots for 20nzd ages ago this camera is in there I’m finally looking at which one is best to chuck a roll through this one looks likely thanks 📸
Hello, I just found your video, it was very informative and really good. But do you know if it is possible to manually rewind video in the camera? I found my moms old Pentax zoom 60 Date that she got from my father in 1989 and been using it for about a year, when a few weeks ago the kamera started acting wierd. When ive shot about 11 photos, more or less, the camre starts to sound like its rewinding, but it isnt. When the camera sounds like this, i can press any button on the camera and the sound will just continue. When i try to start the camre, it sound as it is rewinding but the lens wont open. I really love the camera, have you experienced anything like this, or is the camera simply broken?
The green light is the Auto Focus light, it flashes when your too close or out of focus. The red light is the flash light. I own this camera and the instruction booklet.
Hey! Does the instruction booklet tell you how to rewind the film if it doesn’t do it automatically? Thank you for letting me know if you find that information :)
Interesting video, I have a few retro cameras, that I collect, review on my channel and sell on, hopefully for a little extra. Just picked up one of these very cheap, so will be putting a few films through it and doing a review. I've added your channel. 👍
Hello, I need help with a camera , its a zx-7 Pentax and the manual indicates the camera takes two 3v lithium (CR2) batteries, but they don't fit in the camera. Can you PLEASE HELP.
The camera definitely takes CR2's. Like these... www.batteriesplus.com/battery/film-camera/pentax/zx=m. When you say they don't fit, do yours look like these?
Love the video! My Zoom 60 won't open the lens when I'm turning the camera on and the exposures are flashing, I'm wondering if you have ever encountered this?
Hi Beth, thanks for watching. If the lens won't open even after inserting fresh batteries, I would think that there is a wiring fault. Sorry but that would be the limit of my expertise. 😞
This was a really helpful video! I have just received this camera as a birthday gift. I followed your instructions for how to load the film, however it isn’t showing me how many pictures I have taken on the film (there is no number on the screen). Do you know why this is?? The film has been loaded. Thanks for your help
I'm very glad it was of use, thanks for watching. I would guess that the film has not been loaded correctly. It will only show a frame count if it detects a film. If it just shows the battery level and the focus. If it is loaded correctly you will see a symbol showing that the film is loaded along with the frame count. Perhaps open the back and try again. Also, you can get a free manual from here. mans.io/item/Pentax/Zoom-60
@@laurenhutchinson1147 Once you reach the end it will rewind automatically. Howver I don't think your film has loaded properly so you don't need to rewind it. Download the manual and look at pages 8 & 9.
Thank you for this informative video
My absolute pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
My dad had this camera back in the early 90s and I suspect he took most of our family photos with it back then. I wish I still had it.
I love that cameras can sometimes be as special a memory as those that they capture. These are cheap to buy if you fancy getting one again.
thank you Bono, very informative video

Amazing, my pleasure.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's possible its broken but I would first try changing the batteries just in case they're low.
I have the same issue! Did a battery change help?

Ah that's cool. I've subbed back so I look forward to seeing your review.
Hey.
Your video helps me understand more about my camera (Zoom 60 date not that different)
Thanks a lot!
You're very welcome. I'm glad it was of use.
Hi how can I take an used film roll out of the camera without exposing it? Thanks!
If the film is wound back into the cannister, as it should be when it's finished, then it is protected from light and can be safely removed.
can you take pictures without flash? it doesnt work for me…
What film should I use
Any 35mm you'd like.

Recently bought this camera, your video is so helpful! Thank you!!
Excellent. I'm glad.
How do I adjust the ISO since DX film is impossible to find
Whereabouts are you as DX is the most common here. If you use non DX film the camera defaults 100 iso and it can't be adjusted.
@@sccjono I buy expired film here in my country, thank you for answering!
Can anyone recommend a shutter fix please
