I bought one for beer league and you gain so much more time and so many more goals because the first few times people notice your stick, they stop and go "WTF?" and you just blow right by and score!
Hi nasher i'm an italian guy and thanks to you i know hockey,i love it .i have nhl 19 and a hockey stick with a puck but i've a problem where i live there isn't hockey rink and i can't practice hockey but i practice hockey on road thank you...greetings from italy
Think about it. Black puck, white ice. I love when guys use white tape cause its easier to read than black tape. If you're blade has the holes. You're too far away for my eye to pickup the differences. Hope this never makes it to higher levels cause its an absolute advantage.@@TheNasher61
Great Vid, I would be curious to see how the grip holds up over time. I have seen some sticks with the sand paper built on grip that disappear after a couple of tips.
Just want to say that I love all of your videos, and I really appreciate all of the effort into all of your videos. Don't get over RUclips like most of my favorite RUclipsrs did. Keep up the very great work and hope you still love doing your job!
hey Nasher I just wanted to tell you that I pulled my patellar tendon in my left knee playing hockey. (It’s my first year). I really miss playing and I just wanted to let you know your videos really cheer me up. Thanks for the awesome content.
Man Nasher is the man, i learned and inspired so much from him and i am trying to kill the internet like him i would love to have support...Keep it up Nasher!
I think the grip is the stronger your shot is, because the lumpy sandpaper-like surface penetrates the puck deeper. Also, the stiffness of the puck might depend on the temperature. Therefore, I think, the grip properties depend much more on the context, compared to the traditional setup. Possibly ;)
I still love my aluminum Gretzky sticks/shafts---wish they made aluminum blades--I played semi-pro with this stick and had a 105 mph heavy shot. The league lasted for only one season but playing for the Houston Blast was a trip---I was more of a middle linebacker on the ice at 275 LB-----hurt a lot of people but love your video bro-----graphite would snap on me after a few shots thus the aluminum.
the thing about aluminums is not only did they not break on shots but they didn't break when you slashed people. it was like being hit with a pipe. i still remember the welts i had from those things lol
Make it out of carbon fibre maybe reinforced The air flow is a fantastic idea . It will speed up the shots . This could change the game , and improve it beyond belief
But we ain't gonna talk about that Nasty toe stop backdoor? I see how it is. Name your time and place this summer and we will make a film version.@@TheNasher61
From a big picture perspective on the slap shot, if you use a little stiffer stick it will improve your slapper. I'm a 75 flex guy as well and I dont even try to take one t's or slappers because the stick loads up too much. Try an 85 flex stick...
Masher I love your vids when you play roller hockey when the goalie bocks it you always say good save and you have such good sportsmanship love you keep up the good work
That would depend on wether the stick is a mid kick or low kick. If it were a mid kick, it would be better at waist height but if its a low kick then, yes, you're deffinetly right.
Intriguing innovative tech. When I was younger, I would have bought this stick with my disposable income and not even thought twice about it. These days, I just stick with my tried and true (Easton Ultra-lite 2-piece stick), and put the money I save towards my kid's university education or the mortgage. Yeah the sacrifices we make as parents, right? Thanks for posting. Liked and subscribed.
This seems legit. Structural integrity isn't compromised, and the holes allow for less air resistance, and a faster speed of the swing, resulting in a harder shot travelling faster. What's not to like here? I expect to see these in the NHL soon.
for your next "is it trash?" you should use the new stringking hockey stick. They are a lacrosse company that just made a hockey stick and i would love to see a review on it.
You're trading mass for speed. Both have a part in the power of the shot. On a regular one you might get the same power (if not more) due to the extra mass. It's just physics.
André Silva not entirely. This stick may have the same mass in the blade but less air drag, however until you see this stick in a wind tunnel, who really knows how well it helps.
Could really see Snipers use these with great effect for those quick slapshots, and the extra puck grip is probably good for locking the puck in defense against the boards. So I'd see this defenitely as a good pick for a Defense player.
I had a Metal stick with a blade like that back in the 70's. Moss sure shot or something. It was green and weird. Dad got it at a garage sale for me because i was always breaking sticks.
It's cool you made a video on this. Also cool that Hockey Tutorial did. I buy all the new gimicky hockey stuff. But there's no way I'm spending $290 plus $27 shipping for this stick (30 day money back guarantee or not). In my opinion, they severly screwed up with pricing it with the top of the line Warrior, Bauer and CCM sticks. Even more expensive, actually.
So...? How is it working out? You should try and get some pros to try it out with you and make a vid. GOod to get all the opinions from the Am to the Pro. Great video!
I wonder if the nhl is gonna allow this stick to be used by nhl standards, especially for good skilled players. Cause this Tovi Mirage may be my go 2 stick along side my the Bauer Sling.
I don't know. The slappers from the "traditional" stick seemed heavier, faster. The shots from the TOVI didn't sound as solid nor did they seem to be going as fast? Could be just a mind thing though but it would be coold to see if there is a puck speed difference between the two.
4000 LIKES and I'll try this stick out in beer league🤔
Is this a sponsored video?
I'd like to dislike twice.

neanche piste per inline? al massimo comprati una "pavimentazione" per il giardino cosi non rompi troppo velocemente le stecche www.prohockey.it
Seriously thou stick with wholes is tenuous cause it’s destroys the goalies ability to read the release
trav4oilers that is so true. I’m a goalie too and that would make it so much harder to see
yooo I didn't even think about that, could be a huge advantage for the shooter.

trav4oilers is it just the holes that make a difference or the color too?
trav4oilers I want to see an elevate bent stick shaft with a tovi hole blade, would be deadly against goalies😳

Awoke thank you, you magical timestamp pony
You should DEFINITELY try the Tovi during an actual game. I can't wait to see how it performs!
It’s so weird seeing the puck through the blade but I kinda like it
NYR 247 yeah I thought it’s strangely cool too haha
congrats on the 2nd overall pick

Wax doesn't necessarily improve grip, it is mostly meant to keep snow off the blade
well less snow means more grip !
you're not too bright are ya?!?!?!

Need more TOVI!
I love how his hair ALWAYS comes through that hole in the front of his helmet above his visor XD
I was already thinking of getting the stick
Not gonna lie, I straight up choked on my beer when you fell down. You should make a gif of that.

You worry about height on your slap shot too much. The best clappers are the ones at knee height. Great vid tho
That would depend on wether the stick is a mid kick or low kick. If it were a mid kick, it would be better at waist height but if its a low kick then, yes, you're deffinetly right.

So what’s the difference between the two stick? For someone new to hockey.
Nasher must be hyped about the playoffs 👍

Love the hair coming out of the helmet, great look @ nasher
I didn’t think this video was going to be a joke until I seen him rocking a Nike Bauer 8500 bucket.
It'd be interesting to look at the stick from the top with a high speed camera to see if it deflects like a solid stick.
I used this in February at a hockey camp with the guy who made it they are making a 55 flex one this summer for kids
for your next "is it trash?" you should use the new stringking hockey stick. They are a lacrosse company that just made a hockey stick and i would love to see a review on it.

its a hockey video and he reminded you of an actor that played in a hockey movie, OMG how ironic!!!!! LMFAO
How u feeling about the blue jackets
Am I the only one that realized he is rocking a Nike Bauer 8500 bucket??
Scotty Stewart he look like dominic moore 😂
Lean on the stick some more to generate more power to stop the puck from fluttering during the shot.
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical but there was a slight difference in the shooting, I'd love to try it.
