Phenomenally-detailed presentation! Roger…you are indeed the guru of the ubiquitous creature we call ‘Vacuum’! Splendid and enriching to a long-time admirer.
Love this. Well done. These vacs although become fragile are still my favourite and out perform a lot of the more modern counterparts. Still got my U2332 my parents owned from 1987 still works, still completely intact, wonderful machines. Thanks for this video.
I had one of those in the lilac colour I loved it but then jumped on the dyson band wagon tempted by the no loss of suction and no bags. I bought the multi coloured model and sold the old hoover on which I regret. I’m now an owner of several vacuums including the Maytag satellite which I love apart from the short hose that you have mentioned, I agree it’s an awful hose, but I do love the look and power of it. My main everyday vacuum is the shark stratos cordless which is generally good, but after 20 months the battery is failing. I’m going to contact shark before the 2 year battery warranty expires to try and get a replacement. Thanks for all of your wonderful videos I love watching them and they bring back memories.😊
I’ve never seen one of these referb kits before…I don’t think Hoover USA ever offered these for any of our cleaners. I assume these were sold to vac shoppes so they could sell “reconditioned” machines built from spares? Unless they were offered as like a “rebuild” for customers to get more life out of a TurboPower?

Yikes, Dyson is way overpriced. At least their fans and vacuums here in the US. I'm sure they're made well though
Well done Roger. Looks really nice!
Well done Roger. Love the technical terms for the bits and bobs.
