- In episide 3 we see Bea Smith returning to Wentworth after being released for only day, to find Frankie Doyle trying to take over. Bea is put back with the prisoners straight away, with encouragement from Vera to take control back. The loyalty of the prisoners is tested as they decide who to back, and matters end up with the big showdown.
The whole series was released on DVD a few years ago in Australia, and is worth considering if you want to watch this classic series again.
Parental Guidance Warning - There are scenes of medium level violence that may not be considered suitable for young children.

RIP Carol Burns (Ex-Frankie Doyle). Do any of the Old Cast Members get any Residuals/Royalties from Reruns. Several Cast Members of Happy Days Sued and got a Pittance but for Erin Moran (Ex-Joanie) it was a blessing since she ended up Homeless.

Frankie was brilliant. It was a shame she was in it so little. I think Carol would regret not being in it for longer.
No I think from interviews she was happy to go. Not all actors want to do one long running role. Some want the versatility in their career. Anne Reid is an English actress who played Valerie Barlow in UK soap coronation Street, she could have stayed forever and a had a huge part in it but left because she didn't like been tied to one role and it made her miserable she said. She as an actress wanted to do different roles.The actors in prisoner were not paid well at all and only Val Lehman had got a good deal from the beginning.

I for one was not allowed to watch this when it initially aired on TV the first time given that in 1979 I was a very very young child.

The Music at 7:30 sounds like it came from a Blaxploitation Movie. Meg was stupid as F@ck! Never go into dangerous unchartered territory without backup. She's lucky nobody did "anything" to her.

fair comment - at the time though when doing this, standard accounts only had 10 minutes maximum for their upload. It was so difficult choosing what to add. Now days we get 15 minutes.

Yes I do. I always remember Frankie even though she was in it for such a short time. She was menacing and pathetic at the same time. Very well acted.
This use to come on late at night in America. I use to have to sneak to watch it, because or "mature themes". I always waited for some lesbian prison sex, but never happened at least they didn't show it on American TV.
