Amy Kjorlien In reality, the guy who played Len Murphy (Maurie Fields) truly was a genuine gentleman and a real Aussie larakin. He was married to a lovely lady by the name of Val Jellay. They met each other on the vaudeville circuit and stayed married for about 35 yrs until he sadly passed away in 1995. They were both great Australian personalities/celebrities. You could look up Maurie Fields videos on RUclips from when he used to have a segment on a variety show called 'Hey Hey it's Saturday', where he told some really funny jokes. He truly was a great man.
I believe that was deliberate. I heard there were times when minor mistakes would be kept in for the sake of time/money, so if the actors knew they had messed up and wanted to be sure that the scene would be re-shot, they'd chuck in the F word so that they HAD to reshoot it!
@@derekhorne8076 But beautiful Val Lehman did make a genuine mistake and messed the line to start with so it was a real blooper. Just she apparently threw in the f word just to triply make sure they did not use the great outtake. Lehman is so beautiful she is great in everything she does!
Betty Bobbit said in her book that Ellie Ballantyne got the giggles all the time, That she would be laughing so hard that tears would stream down her face. Ans once she started laughing it took a long time for her to stop.

And not all Aussies "love" to swear. I'm an Aussie and I never swear around children, the elderly and strangers I don't know. But when I'm at home or around close friends, I have no problem with dropping an F-bomb or even use the c word occasionally. Heck, some Aussies call their own mate the c word in a jovial manner. So it's not that unusual for some Aussies. Not unless you are too pretentious and soft.
What gets me is that these are supposed to be 'Thespians darling' and yet when they make a mistake the 'F word' comes up time and time again, obviously not got the level of English that one assumes from these 'actor/actresses types'!
