G'day from West Australia,😉 The pain of nice rubber on a torana, well worth tbe effort though. Shudder to tgink how many times I have done that particular job. On many brands some more painful than the torana's. Glad you shared that budy, 🙂 Tip my hat to you👍👍
Cheers! Yeah, I've never really liked the look of them either... they actually lower the eyebrow height a bit more as well so people then jack the car up higher. I think the standard type ones are spot on. 👌
Yes, with the correct diff length and wheel offset, you'd be able to get that tyre in. I had a used Ferrari F40 rear tyre (which is 335/35R17) and I built my car that you see in this video around that exact tyre. :)
I am Melbourne-based mate. I think you can fit 275's just by doing that inner tub modification and uprighting the shocks etc. with no flares. Sedan might be a little tighter but hatch is easy for that.
@@Hezath thanks for the reply mate. His got a fair bit of room inside. Just the inner guard from the flare might rub.. honestly i reckon it will fit as he has 265s already. Maybe just the bump stop mod? Would you be interested in having a look at it one day for him?
Just the biggest, dirtiest oxy you can find m8. Nah I used an angle grinder with a mostly worn down cutting disc, so I could steer it around the curve. But I imagine there are better tools - that I don't own - available for the job.
@castleage5233 are you asking how much it compresses at ride height? If so, I don't recall the measurement but it's 1,300kg, 51% F 49% rear weight, and the rear springs are direct-acting. So you could calculate it.
Excellent information. Even the technical terms like ‘ belt the shit out of ‘…😂😂
I try to use accurate descriptive language in all of my videos.

Thank you Steve! Yes, certainly worth it. The look of a flared Torana sitting nicely over some fat meats is hard to beat. 👌
Great video mate, Glad you didnt go with the wider flares Ive always found they just dont look right and look kinda funky.

Hey man, so if that modification is done on the back of a Torana Hatchback, i should be able to squeeze a 17x12 wheel with a 335/35/17 tyre?

Hey mate love this! My mate wants to fit a 275 on his but his mechanic is saying it wont. I beg to differ. Are you Melbourne based?

hey i have 295 15 every is prity close but no rubbing i do have the bump stops and also 21/2 pipes over the diff
wow ! Fantastic ! Congratulations
What tool do you recommend to achieve a clean cut on the fenders?

Hi mate.. What is the length of your rear spring?
235mm Free Length, 260lbs/in springrate. And don't forget the extended bump stops - they are critical.
@@Hezath with that free length , how much did it sag?

@@Hezath Thanks Heath, I can't find anyone who custom makes here in sydney. Where did you get yours?
@@castleage5233 I used Browns Springworks in Thomastown. There are two spring manufacturers here in Melbourne's.
Did you do a colour change on this car? Re orange in engine bay etc
I did change the colour. The car used to be a black UC Torana. Now it's orange and Ultra Blue, and looks like an LX.
@@Hezath cool, I like the modifications you’ve done and moving forward
Good video 👍🏻
................If I bring my Torrie over to Vic can you do mine Mate??? Oh and Matthews too?
lol if you want nice things you've gotta put the effort in. :P
True Young Fella True I admire your effort !!!!
