OMG. My mom had something that looked like that sewing machine and table. Your video brought back memories of learning how to sew with it, and then her moving on to a newer one. Thank you for that part in the video. I truly loved it.
Congrats on the Singer! To have to ability to repair, alter, make on the road is a great advantage. We have two Featherweight Singers and having one aboard our RV allows us to do those things as well as my wife to make quilt squares.
It was an absolute honor and pleasure to meet the two of you at Ponderosa Stare Park in McCall, Idaho. We enjoy your videos immensely and appreciate the time and effort you spend researching and editing. You put out amazing work. John and Lola.
Very interesting place. Good job on the video. This is perhaps my first visit to your channel. I like your story and I hope I am not out of line but you are one of the most strikingly beautiful women I have seen on many many rv channels. Just an added bonus. Your story and story telling is more than enough to make me want to come back again.
Absolutely anything you want to know about this place, ask away also do not live here its insane! People are crazy, backstabbing, do anything to try and throw you under the bus and rapists, DO NOT LIVE HERE
I always love to watch Your videos, You give such informative hikes and the videography is superb! This is what We are looking forward too next year when retirement kicks in.
Living the dream of many of us. We rally want to get to the PNW. Pups on the trails is unusual! Good intel there! What a beautiful area. We have visited some petroglyphs and fossil areas. We love them! Thanks for taking us along! Kay and Matt
After recently discovering your videos, I have been watching many of them for the last couple of days. You are a delightful couple, and your presentation is absolutely wonderful. Keep up the good work! I shall be on the road in my RV next spring.
Ha! We did that 'Journey through Time' many years ago with our kids! Very fun places to see and I loved the Painted Hills and Fossil Beds. Didn't see the apothecary though. Something to go back to see, if this Covid ever leaves. Fun video!
The weather for that hike seemed like it was perfect. With cloudy skies, there wasn’t any harsh light.Interesting colors on the landscape. The second hike had interesting skies too. Loved the dark clouds! Great videography. Good find on the sewing machine. Now you can make face masks!
Hey Bri and TJ...As usual...nicely done video and commentary...Prairie City was an interesting looking town and so were the parks you visited...You said looks like Death Valley....more like the Badlands of South Dakota in my opinion.......Anyway...keep up the fine videos...All the best from Hank and Pam from South Texas!!!
I have explored the country from time to time through out my life and developed skills like hunting and fishing. I also became what I think is a decent mechanic to work on my own vehicle. I don't know maybe being completely self reliant is a trait that is lost nowadays. I see people making these videos and asking people to support them and it seems counter productive to what I believe is important to being on your own and growing from the experience. I could never ask anyone to support me no matter how bad it got out there.
We had plans to go here a few years back, but there were some bad fires in the area, so it is still on our list! Love that dogs can go on these trails, but I could not imagine having to carry our 75 lb dopey young Lab across one of the bridges, let alone several - ha ha! You do such a great job on these videos :)
Landscape is just awesome 👌, colors are just fantastic, never new that Oregon had that type of landscape, wow what a sewing machine, TJ can sew you some face masks 😷, made he can sell them too, 😁, you guys do great videos, and tell us interesting information about where you are , thanks for sharing with us, travel safe.
My wife and I were just in Oregon this past week, unfortunately we could not visit John Day, perhaps in the future. Just subscribed to your channel as it looked interesting traveling about. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
I have sewed for many years and am a long time quilter. When friends ask for suggestions of what kind of machines to buy, I ALWAYS suggest going to a thrift store and buying an older one. They are much better machines than most that are made now. I have two OLD ones and love them. Much better than my very expensive deep throated quilt machine. Easier to adjust and fix too.
Thanks for the fun information. If you’re headed towards northern Utah, let us know. Kim and I would love to meet you. Plus the two gals can compare their very similar hair and ability to sleep as soon as the ignition is turned on 😁. Safe travels.
Again, another awesome video. We stayed at the same county campground 2 years ago and really enjoyed the area. We visited the 1188 Brewing Company for a dinner and some brews as well, no coronavirus in 2018! I got some amazing photos in John Day Fossil Beds. I enjoyed it so m Ugh
hey that's my friend Robb's shop, Eagles in Flight. him and his brother started out in Concrete, Wa. he is a great mechanic and a truly nice guy. edited to add i have a singer 201, which uses those cams for special stitches, mine is in the typical 60's blonde cabinet with a stool. tj my former wife couldn't sew either, a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. :)
I’ve followed you guys on your RUclips channel for a while now and have enjoyed your adventures. I live in Twin Falls, Idaho (south central). If you get a chance to come by here be sure and see Shoshone Falls, the “Niagra of the West”! Safe travels!
I’ve been to Destin, your start here point and almost all of the places you have been to or driven through. Thanks for letting me ride along on your trip. Old good memories.
I've been following you guy's awhile now here on you-tube and even though I hardly comment on anything I must comment now. WOW! the red clay in the hills and the mountains in the back ground is breath taking not to mention the trails. Dang! only if I were there. :)
Did y'all miss Mitchell, OR and the Tiger Town Brewery and BBQ. Cool quirky old mining town. The best sunsets happen on cloudy days. Look into the Lava Trail. It follows all the Volcanic parks down into CA. I wandered around that area last fall. LAVO national park has the coolest campground, but it might not be suitable for your big rig. In fact it looks like it was designed by someone who had no idea about campground design. I always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Well first off that was really a good video you guys put out some good videos but that was just really good one second off Bree did I actually see you put sneakers on your feet that won't last I love the motorcycle shop beautiful bikes and that sewing machine was really a nice piece I'm heavy into antiques that Sewing Machine man they last forever will you two take care of yourselves you see you guys next week
I'd like to find a video on how you deal with the cats. I can't seem to find anything on that subject... I really enjoy all your videos though nice air stream
Interesting place... I live in Idaho and was in the Stanley area last weekend, it was packed. Now most of the state is hot and smokey, hopefully that will not last long.
Was the Chinese museum left to Hood River, as you said, or to John Day? I've always loved Prairie City, so it was a great memory to relive. Thanks, as always, for your videos.
Nice episode guys. Bree, tennis shoes are good, better protection against cactus, right? Good discipline! Wait, you took a nap and the ride was long? Huh?
Bree good to see you put trail shoes on. I always thought it odd (and potentially dangerous) you wore flip flops. Try some Altra Temp 1.5 and you'll never consider anything else.
I overnited in John Day in August of 2017 on one of my many yearly trips to the northwest to escape the heat of the southwest. The waitress asked me if I was there for the eclipse. I hadn't realized the John Day area was one of the best places to view the eclipse that was occurring later in 5 days. Unfortunately I had to leave and blamed it on poor planning of my road trip.
I enjoyed it so much I returned in 2019 with my son on our motorcycles. The area around John Day has some outstanding motorcycling roads. Thanks again for reminding me how much we like parts of Oregon. I guess you are now in Idaho. Are you going to come to Utah as well?
OMG. My mom had something that looked like that sewing machine and table. Your video brought back memories of learning how to sew with it, and then her moving on to a newer one. Thank you for that part in the video. I truly loved it.
Excellent video
Great video with awesome scenery! You got a fantastic deal on that sewing machine! Love that you involve your dogs whenever it’s feasible!
Congrats on the Singer! To have to ability to repair, alter, make on the road is a great advantage. We have two Featherweight Singers and having one aboard our RV allows us to do those things as well as my wife to make quilt squares.
Love you guys, you make us happy. Watching you rescue that sewing machine and taking us along for the ride was a great way to spend our evening.
I love how you keep it real and down to earth ! And your pups are adorable !
It was an absolute honor and pleasure to meet the two of you at Ponderosa Stare Park in McCall, Idaho. We enjoy your videos immensely and appreciate the time and effort you spend researching and editing. You put out amazing work. John and Lola.
Nice pacing with the music. Love seeing places I haven't seen before.
Thank you so much for showing us parts of this beautiful Country that we may never get to see or some place we want to add to our travel list...
I love how sometimes you take us to places that haven't been covered by many other RUclips channels. Also love your insights. Thanks.
Very interesting place. Good job on the video. This is perhaps my first visit to your channel. Your sewing machine works better than ours! Looks pre 1950, ish. Great video, just begun watching your travels . 😊
After recently discovering your videos, I have been watching many of them for the last couple of days. You are a delightful couple, and your presentation is absolutely wonderful. Keep up the good work! I shall be on the road in my RV next spring.
You do an amazing job at gathering historical information. I really enjoy your videos.
Once again another superb video. Love traveling through your camera work and narrations. My favorite RUclips channel.
Interesting places for sure.
Thank you for your time on this. Great video. Kim & Nancy
Ha! We did that 'Journey through Time' many years ago with our kids! Very fun places to see and I loved the Painted Hills and Fossil Beds. Didn't see the apothecary though. Something to go back to see, if this Covid ever leaves. Fun video!
I've only been a youtube watcher for a little over a year and I have never seen so much beauty our country has to offer. Thanks guys!
The weather for that hike seemed like it was perfect. With cloudy skies, there wasn’t any harsh light.Interesting colors on the landscape. The second hike had interesting skies too. Loved the dark clouds! Great videography. Good find on the sewing machine. Now you can make face masks!
What beautiful country! May not have been much for you to do but we really enjoyed it - thanks for the trip to John Day! (Poor naked guy... 😬😄😎)
TJ I always knew you liked those sewing machines, I really liked the video....
We love watching you! If you ever get to Grawn,MI, dock in our yard
Great camera angles and music choices are super! Really enjoying your videos
I'm jealous of that sewing machine! Great deal and great find!
You were in the midst of some beautiful country. You may have to go back and exercise the van on some of the backroads!

I have my moms over 50 yr old Singer workhorse sewing machine. It still works I made my own curtains in our camper.
My first machine was very similar to that. I bought it in 71. You are making me feel old.
GREAT find and fix on the sewing machine! I also enjoyed the all day, one hr journey in town. THANKS SAFE TRAVELS
Well we've been through John Day twice but we have never stopped. Thanks for showing us around now we know what to look for next time.
Good call on the shoes!
Ha Ha! TJ puts on those glasses and suddenly he can do anything!
Wow!!,,Thank you. :)

Strawberry Mtns nearby have nice hiking! Nearby Canyon City has a wonderful antique horsedrawn vehicles shop..much other neat stuff there.
It's the same for my husband and I. He does the sewing because I don't have the patience.
Thanks for the fun information. If you’re headed towards northern Utah, let us know. Kim and I would love to meet you. Plus the two gals can compare their very similar hair and ability to sleep as soon as the ignition is turned on 😁. Safe travels.
Wish I could sit in back with the fur babies & travel with you😊!
Love your great sewing machine!!! What a great find.
Adventures in Oregon channel is based in john day Oregon and covered alot of john day
Thanks for sharing your visit to the Kam Wah Chung Heritage Site. What a piece of history!

Another cool video. Amazing find with the Singer sewing machine with no electronics. Travel safe.
That is funny! My husband is the sewer of the family too. Cool deal!
I’ve followed you guys on your RUclips channel for a while now and have enjoyed your adventures. I live in Twin Falls, Idaho (south central). If you get a chance to come by here be sure and see Shoshone Falls, the “Niagra of the West”! Safe travels!
Too bad the museum was closed. It is truly a time capsule and very interesting.
I’ve been to Destin, your start here point and almost all of the places you have been to or driven through. Thanks for letting me ride along on your trip. Old good memories.

I think I have that same sewing machine in my attic. Going to dig it out!
My mom had that sewing machine!!
Did y'all miss Mitchell, OR and the Tiger Town Brewery and BBQ. Cool quirky old mining town.

Thank you for sharing the interesting facts on your travel areas! Congratulations on the new-to-you sewing machine!
The red-stained hills are beautiful. Thanks for sharing ;)

Great stories and nice find in the sewing machine. Safe travels.
Gradma Barb at 11:00 chillin on the phone. The thriftiest thrifter.
Wow awesome scenery! Nice you could take the puppies! Thanks for sharing! 🤙 Oh and the sewing machine is awesome!
Love your videos!
Damn good video, nice to know about Oregon having the sites it does! Thanks
Just have the sewing machine tuned up! It will cost around $100. And the peddle goes on the floor🤓
I'd like to find a video on how you deal with the cats. I can't seem to find anything on that subject... I really enjoy all your videos though nice air stream
My Great Grandma was born in John Day Or. She used to go to her "Chinese Dr" Most of the people are busy working on their ranches
Great drone footage. The RR car looks like fun - I think.
Interesting place... I live in Idaho and was in the Stanley area last weekend, it was packed. Now most of the state is hot and smokey, hopefully that will not last long.
You would think Camping would be cheap but it's not.
I watch a lot of travel vlogs but I never heard of these places. I enjoy finding out about new places. Were there any fossils in Fossil Beds? Thanks.
That Prairie City might be small but it looked quite scenic. Nice score on the sewing machine.
You can make your own COVID masks. 😷
I like the way TJ wears his mask! Rattlers! Just don’t step on them stay on trail! 😂 nice new places! Journey through time 💘💞🤍💜🤍💜🤍
Love Eastern Oregon, now most important question is wife wants to know if there is an ice cream shop?
thumbs up
You left out the opium covered walls and the slaves
Too funny, I (Michele) can’t sew either but Roger can!
I overnited in John Day in August of 2017 on one of my many yearly trips to the northwest to escape the heat of the southwest. The waitress asked me if I was there for the eclipse. I live here, love it. Come visit us.
My wife doesn't sew but I have two machines myself for making camping gear.
He did not will it to Hood River, but to the city of John Day.
Now I want to be in the middle of nowhere!
You keep referencing 'unit's'
JOHN DAY SOUNDS LIKE THE KARDASIANS. BECAME FAMOUS FOR DOING NOTHING.
