Shiseido is a very old company, having been founded over 150 years ago. As far as I know, it is one of the oldest major cosmetics manufacturers in the world, second only to Guerlain. It has long enjoyed overwhelming trust and immense popularity among the wealthy in Asia, particularly in China. I believe it started becoming gradually known in the West after the year 2000, but what do you think?
We've seen it around, so that's one of the reasons the girls wanted to try it out.
Great to see the sisters having fun, makes it easier being far from the rest of the family.

I’m Asian, but not from Japan, and I remember my GREAT grandmother sitting me down at the kitchen table with a mirror in front of me when I was as young as 6 or 7 years old all the way up until she died when I was 17. She lived in the US, but couldn’t speak English, and while she was proud of my educational goals, she REALLY, REALLY thought it was important that I focus on my skin, my nails, my hair, and my weight lol. I know she really wanted me to practice my techniques over and over again, as she thought that would guarantee me a man in life. 🤣
We would do “lessons” in front of that mirror for hours a week and I learned how to contour before contouring was even a thing. I knew how to pluck and shape the most perfect eyebrows. I knew how to use eyeshadow to make it appear like I actually had eyelids.
I have so many hours and so much experience, I could easily be a hair stylist and a makeup artist.
My great grandma SWORE by Shiseido products, and they are amazing, and I still use a lot of them today.
They are very expensive compared to your drug store brands, so I don’t use them for every part of my face routine.
There is one product I buy religiously, and I honestly don’t know if it’s better than cheaper products, but I know it smells just like my great grandma used to so I can’t stop purchasing it! It’s $140 for the cream, which is a bit much, but it’s worth it for the smell and memories!!!

We just made it at the door! No need to reserve early! We had to wait about 30 - 45 min but we had fun walking around while we waited.
