I ordered a half pan of Dragons Blood from the Etsy shop a year ago and it has served me so well, a truly unique color, well worth every coin spent on it!!! Dirty Blue’s version is the only one I’ll use now!!!
Geweldige video. Echt heel leuk.
It's quite interesting to see how differently the colour and texture come out when dissolved in alcohol vs watercolour binder. It is a very good match for blood at various stages of drying. I very much enjoy the way you have extra fun with your paints/pigments in your videos.. like setting fire to it :) It's always fun to see what happens when you light stuff on fire.
Haha thank you! And it is the difference of a solution and a dispersion 🤗 the paint dries beautifully matte while the “blood” dries as a glossy thick layer
Can you tell me more about this Nix device? It must be a spectrophotometer? Very, very interesting. I want to add this to my own studio practice making and studying oil paint.
What’s this nonsense about dragon’s blood coming from a resin 😡. Everyone knows that 🐉🩸 comes from noble dragons, slain in battle, their blood exuding in rivulets upon their golden, scaly sheathes. You said it yourself in the video. I object!! 😄😄
OK so dragon's blood paint has a dragon breath smell? It's an interesting and gorgeous colour, shame it's fugitive :(
tbh, the last time I encountered a dragon it flew away.. So I don't have any experience with actual Dragon's breath..

I made some oil paint with this years ago and it turned brown and faded within a week.
@@jasonadamik2206 Thanks! Interesting to know.
I've had a pan of Dragon's Blood in my palette for nearly a year but it doesn't get nearly as much love as it should. It is such a fun and unique red.
It really is! This is your sign to use it! 😁

“No dragons were harmed in the filming of this video” 😂
I might have to add that…
😂😂😂
really an unique pigment.
Nice editing skills!
Thank you!!!
Happy Dragon Year
Thank you so much! You too!
Awesome!

Dankjewel!!

8:41 love the surface ripples!
🙏
Epic music to go with this epic video!
🙏☺️
without audio, we don't understand why you burn your mixture !!? 🎨🤔
It's the dragon part of the pigment I guess..

It is! It’s the Nix Spectro2. I do have an affiliate link if you’re thinking of buying one. 😊 it’s quite a spectacular little device!
I knew you were a Wizard!
Great video. Does wearing the carbon filter mask help with the smell at all, until you take it off?
Haha thanks! 🧙♂️
Oh yeah it fully gets rid of the smell. It’s the taking it off part and the smell staying that’s the issue 😅
Zeker! 😅
First!
