In it's 13 year life my Jazz has had 1 clutch plus gearbox output shaft seal, one wheel bearing, a complete exhaust and one brake caliper..other than that just consumables. It's showing 136k miles and runs like a swiss watch..it has never ( not once) failed to start! I will replace with another if it ever needs replacing!!
The best supermini available IMHO. Engines improve with age and use, chain drive and go better than the specs would suggest..room for 6ftplus 20 stone drivers with ease and extra wide seat bases are amazing magic seats means u can carry loads of ridiculous size and build quality an longevity will show all others the way to do it, unless you judge a car by the softness of it's plastic dashboard..wtf do testers see in a soft plastic dash??
The 'party piece' magic seats are fitted to all models not just higher spec ones.
We replaced our Vauxhall Astra after the electrics went kaput due to water infusion.
Having been glad to rid ourselves of the awful Vauxhall, we replaced it with a 2010 Honda Jazz and what a peach this car is.
Uber practical, more comfort than the Astra and a CVT transmission for the missus, who can only drive automatics.
Edit for August 2020 ; troble is, the battery keeps going flat after a while.
Replaced battery but same happens.
The alternator has been checked and is fine, but it seems these cars do NOT like doing short trips only.
We have never had this problem on any other car we've had or myself on driving any car since 1984.
Hi. How does this car behave on highway or longer trips? Is it comfortable on highway and is the noise too much when you drive at around 120 to 130 km/h?
I am happy with the Hybrid.but has anyone experienced the steering,it does not self centre unlike a Hydraulic power steering,the Electric Power Steering makes it twitchy and tiring on a long journey,ah well cant have it all

one of these near me and i think it looks a little too nerdy than the older more sporty looking model
I thought the flip up seat was a no surprise standard.
It is standard. Not sure why they said it's a higher spec thing
is this 2012 Jazz a CVT transmission or regular automatic transmission?
