Dimash has extra-ordinary talent, but without putting in a lot of hard work, he would never have been able to develop his voice and performance to what it is now. Many people have raw talent, but few have dedicated their lives to perfect their art the way Dimash has. Because Dimash has studied voice since he was 5 years old and practiced several hours every day throughout his life, he was able to keep the upper registers after puberty when most other boys his age went through their voice changes. With continuous practice as an adult, he was - and still is -- able to extend his range significantly, both in the lower and upper registers. In interviews, Dimash compares his vocal exercises to the kind of training athletes have to undergo. He is a very disciplined artist. In addition to 3 hours vocal practice every day, he also exercises daily and swims under water to strengthen his lungs and chest muscles to support his voice. As a dedicated Muslim, he does not smoke, drink alcohol, use drugs or profanities, or engage in questionable social activities. You will find no scandals about him. He surrounds himself with his beloved family and like-minded friends and artists to stay well-grounded. Despite his success, he is a very humble, gracious person, continuously working towards ever greater mastership of his art, always striving to be worthy of every song that he is performing. Dimash (Dee MAHSH/MOSH) has been practically the only singer I have listened to for the past five years! If you had let this play till the end you would have heard his speaking voice. FYI, Dimash has been training since the age of 5 - he turned 29 this year. He is a multi-instrumentalist, has degrees in classical voice (bel canto), composition and is currently undertaking his Doctorate in Musicology.

He has been training, performing, practicing every day since 3yrs old. He continues to train no less than 3 hrs every day. I enjoyed your observations and comments. Welcome to the world of Dimash! Is it any wonder that he is considered by many to be the best vocalist in the world? He is incredible and you've barely touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of what he can do. He has a repertoire of 52 original songs and many covers so you have a lot to choose from. I would recommend Sinful Passion, Ikanaide, or Be With Me next. Each one is a musical adventure.
DIMASH sings 120 songs and more versions, all masterpieces, but many underrated, Dimash deserves much more

He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop with a vocal range of 7+ octaves: C1-D8(which doesn't exist on a standard 88-key piano).

Goosebumps, tears, breathless, speechless! Yes, that's what happens when you listen to the Greatest Vocalist this planet has ever heard. Not 'once in a generation', not 'once in a century', just the genuine GOAT. Vocal specialists are coming out all over now and talking about the use of the human voice 'In the Time before Dimash' and 'Post'. He really is in a league of his own and a game changer. His concerts sell out within minutes and his many millions of fans will travel to where ever he is in the world - just as you say - just for the chance to hear him Live.
You're right - it takes a ton of work to make something this complex sound so effortless. He had a genetic 'leg up' for sure. Both Dimash's parents are well regarded singers in Kazakhstan, and it's my firm conviction he was already tuning his ear to perfect pitch in the womb! He was up on stage with them from toddlerhood and commenced formal music and vocal studies from the age of 5. Dimash is now 29, {so that's about 1/4 of a Century of specialised - Daily - vocal training already! } and he has trained in classical and every other genre of voice. By age 6 he was starting to win piano competitions and shortly thereafter vocal ones too. His grandfather taught him to play a number of traditional Kazakh instruments and both grandparents taught him many folk songs and stories.
Dimash has an unprecedented almost 8 octave range, sings in 16+ languages, is a multi-instrumentalist, a composer, story-teller and humanitarian - and more!

Trained in classical music and voice control since the age of five, a musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer without peer, welcome to the word of Dimash. You have touched base but come on in to his special place and be dumbfounded by what you discover. I was hooked from the moment I heard and saw him a few short years ago, I am 85 now and he moves me every time I listen to his voice, whether he's singing Rap, Opera or anything in between. He is simply the very best.

Great reaction, thank you! Dimash is a tall guy with a low full speaking voice, many low round frequences in it, lower than yours. He sounds like a Baritone when he speaks and his singing voice is also incredible in his low register, here you didn't get much of it. ;-) I would recommend Olympico to find out how strong and incredible his voice is, or Sinful Passion, also a great song where you can hear him speak when you watch the video until the end!
