How do you find a list of the lakes to choose from ?
Question: I have Humminbird Helix 9. Its got side, down and GPS. I bought a Lake Master Plus Chip (card) for it. I am still building my boat and I have not installed this unit yet and I have never used one before either. So... is my Lake Master Card obsolete? Superseded? Or would I use this VX card along with it?? I mean in order to get all the new options/features you mentioned.
Great video. How do you turn off the all the words/description displayed ... such as "tree's, grass, etc" ?? The lake i fish i know where all that is and my screen display is overly cluttered with all that wording showing on my screen. HELP !
If I am fishing a lake that goes to 210ft but i never fish over 30 ft what should the depth palate be set at? 40 to 50ft?
As long as its a high def lake you're good... otherwise not so much

Yes. This is basically replacing both the Lakemaster Plus AND the Smartstrike cards. Thanks for watching!
Smart strike is on the VX chip.
I have two solix units one on the bow and the driving seat to get this on both unit what I have to do I have to buy two cards or it can work on the pair units at the same time .thanks
The solix units will share a single Lakemaster card through the network. As long as your units are synced you are good to go! Holler if you have any questions!
Also make sure both solix have e the same updates on it or it will not show. Both units must have the exact same software 😊

Can the VX highlight hard bottom in a different color. Not the depth highlight colors the hard bottom colored?.
Yes that is the "shaded relief" option.
I bought the lake master card several months ago. I don't know how to pull up lakes ... this was informative but not showing how you go from the start is confusing how you get to these things
If you are talking about not being able to see the "Lake List", I couldn't either. After much searching on the internet I found that I needed to update my Basemap on my Helix 7. Once I did that, I could see the lake list and select lakes from it. Hope this helps.
I just bought one for my helix 9 gen 3 it doesn’t look nothing like this I have it on auto select.it’s just blue I can’t change the color pallet
Did you purchase the Lakemaster VX Premium card? They do not come with this mapping pre loaded.
What’s the biggest differences between lakemaster plus vs lakemaster vx premium? I’ve got the plus and wondering if it’s worth the upgrade.
Way more shading options and the new color palettes. Worth every penny if you ask me!

I'm not sure... navionics has a free app but the cards are similarly priced. Check out the One Boat Network App. It is pretty cheap and I think they do a few months free or something when you sign up
I have none of those options with my lakemaster card. I can't get it to do anything. I have a humminbird helix 12. Any help would greatly appreciate
What lakemaster card do you have? I'm assuming it's an older version

@@pwayne6923 It may be a longshot but I had to update the Basemap on my Helix 7 before I could see the lakes. Works great now.
