Great Video as usual :) on a seemingly endless search for my next boat .. i find the potential vessels getting generally bigger and more expensive by the week. Watching you two brings me back to reality around what is achievable on a 30ft'er. Fair winds and fun adventures to you both. Cheers
Sailors to me always appear to be the nicest people. I guess its the lifestyle, perspective on life and always looking out for each other. What a great way to see Australia, almost makes me want to learn sailing. Safe travels!
You say that until you actually do it. It is like anywhere, there are nice people, people that just want to be left alone, and people that you wish you did not have to interact with.
Outstanding video! Gave us the feeling of actually being there with you. Probably the result of excellent filming and editing. High praise from San Diego.
Refreshing, free, real and all things positive. I was only kidding about going around a second time, but I am glad you took the suggestion. My weekly does of everything that is smile. Thanks guys
You are so interesting to watch. Your videos exemplify just how good you both are as sailors, videographers and most importantly, as a couple. A constant great pleasure to watch and follow.
"Sail north to the warmth" sound funny to someone from the Northern Hemisphere. BTW, got my short and long sleeve Free Range Sailing shirts. They are beautiful and the quality of the material and the logos far exceeds my expectations. I will wear them proudly and think of you guys.
I just found you, this is the very first video I have watched. I like what you are doing and how you are doing it. I subscribed and all notifications are on. Thumbs up!!! Thank you and be safe.
Great to watch. I started sailing on my dads Top Hat a million years ago and moved to a 30 footer for years now sail a beautiful 38 foot aft cabin Westerly, she has everything I always wanted but nothing extra that I need above what the previous boats provided . You guys prove you can cruise well on a small boat and budget Good on you both
I don't know a thing about sailing but I watched the entire video because it was so well done. The flow of it was so natural, great editing, very clever. At one point when you were adjusting sails and she was filming from within it hit me how well this production was. I probably won't subscribe I just wanted to pass that along, I reallly enjoyed this. Best of luck from Louisiana in the U. S.
I always get excited when I see a new upload from you guys ! It was nice to see the Swallows hanging out with you, that was unexpected, you always show lots of wildlife in your videos when possible, I love that !
Hey guys Thanks for the vid. It is uplifting and I look forward to each and every episode. I got Covid. It gave me a substantial heart attack. When my wife got me from the Hospital she brought me the new Free Range Sailing T-Shirt. It made me so happy to sport it out to the car and go home in. Thank you so much again
We don't have enough contributions to our weekly videos to afford a bigger boat. The weakness of a business plan where payment for service is optional.
So delighted the videos have kept coming following your circumnavigation of Australia. As that trip neared its completion, with one outstanding episode, after the next,as thrilled as I was with dash to make it home, I feared that would be the end of this fabulous story for those of us out in utube land, alas like most things I find to worry on,I need not have bothered. Thank you, thank you!
Wonderful episode! I can't wait to see you "On holiday" up north again, the scenery is absolutely stunning so far. Shark bay is really fascinating, what a special place. Can't wait for next week's episode!
Awesome Video. Spring cleaning during bad weather, is an awesome idea except to say the the mold / fun gus / growth grows back fairly quickly, especially the botton growth under the keel (soory ment chin) have an awesome week.
I have that Opinel knife, a #8 and a#12 the best little knife I love the twist of the metal at the base of the blade to lock it in position. after all, they are very sharp
Very nice video...you are showing me a part of the world I've never really thought about as far as sailing goes but then with a coastline as large as Australia's there's got to be many great places to explore. Thanks.
Love the swallow’s! I also am really pleased by the material and quality of my Free Range Sailing hoodie. You guys are top shelf in everything you do. Greetings from Canada’s east coast.😀🇨🇦
The artwork is all and more than advertised! The long sleeve made a big show in red at the county fair in frederick Md , got the local country radio station doing a long educational bit on lobsters !!! Score 1Free Range Sailing. Standout. As it should be. Outstanding sailing, wildlife, homelife, cooking, fresh food, relating to wildlife. Fabulous fuel for the soul. not to mention/forget the great step by step skills demos.
@@FreeRangeLiving Hi, I know. Shorts and long sleeve on a chilly, reminder, morning of fall going on. The blue short sleeve is impressive but the red really popped that day! Everyone enjoyed it.
Just hate bugs getting into my grain n chocolate supplies! Found that freezing the grains/rice/pasta overnight solved the problem... On my Top Hat 25' there's only an electric esky so when I go to the supermarket I stash my bags of grains under the bags of frozen peas and return the next day to buy the grain.... Thank you for a fun and very polished vid. Brian
another amazing video guys, watching your vids is better than any cruising guide for Oz. Noticed not a single thumbs down, never seen that on any of the sailing VLOGS; congrats!!!
Love your channel, and seeing some of the WA delights! I am from the east coast and can't wait to get out of lockdown to explore the west! Great scenery around Dirk Hartog and I loved the swallows!! Well done!
Farm windmills have adjustable tailfins that can re-align the blades to the side, thus having a similar effect to feathering. I'm surprised yacht wind generators don’t have this useful option.
Id be cool if the wind generator had some sort of drag tension bolt you could tighten when the wind blow to strong. Slow it down to keep the power rolling.
The issue is that the blades won’t take the forces involved. Even fully feathered they reach max loading surprisingly quickly. I have wondered if a smaller heavier blade design would work in stronger winds, and suspect it would, but then it would be useless at lower wind speeds. Supposed you could have two blade heads and swap.
One of the sailors I watch on RUclips had multiple different sized vanes for their windvane auto helm. I wonder if you could have a set of smaller blades for your generator.
Just came across you guys yesterday, have watched a couple of your videos, I love the laid-back straightforward style and the way you present your journey. Thanks for sharing and fair winds ☺️🙏🏻⛵️
2 is 1 and 1 is none.
Words to live by!
Love and respect!
A place I will never visit in this lifetime, which only adds to my enjoyment of these videos. Thank you.
Glad to being you along with us for so many episodes M C
👂The chirping of the swallows is brilliant 👂Nice take!
Swallows are my favourite bird. Not shy and always "happy". Thanks for great videos!
Your music choices are just so spot on. Amazing work as always.
The wonders of nature : The rarely seen whiskerless Troy, and the adorable Swallows 😊👍
Far more trustworthy to be whiskerless! Loved the bird chatter on the fishing rod.
Swallows ? maybe Martins
I was about to ask who that stranger was on the boat. Has she dumped her husband for younger greener pastures?
An entertaining episode. I like that format and film style

I WATCH a lot of sailing videos and enjoyed yours the most.
Really like your boat changes. Awesome interior and dodger.

Eeehaaaa, welcome back. Truly inspirational how you guys bounce back. Thanks for sharing.
Has to be the fastest 25 minute show of any kind on any medium. Always leaves me wanting more.

Hi Troy & Pascale, love you guys and the great photography you create. All the best from the UK. Xx
Great video.
Hey guys
Thanks for the vid. It is uplifting and I look forward to each and every episode.

Sorry to hear that Tim but glad you pulled through ok.
Love the new Troy! Love these new adventures. But I will say I see you in a bigger boat. New adventures. Next step
We don't have enough contributions to our weekly videos to afford a bigger boat. The weakness of a business plan where payment for service is optional.
There's always something enjoyable with you videos. Birds perched on fishing line how cute. I liked the mustache with a lip goatee the best.
Great video very honest about sailing . Smaller side of size for really off shore .

Wow Troy you look ten years younger with a clean shave! Great video like always!
Very nice video...you are showing me a part of the world I've never really thought about as far as sailing goes but then with a coastline as large as Australia's there's got to be many great places to explore. Thanks.
Yes, having such a coast makes video production easier. Always something spectacular around every corner.
Thank you for the video. That looks like pretty rough Anchorage for sure. ⛵
Love the swallow’s! I also am really pleased by the material and quality of my Free Range Sailing hoodie. You guys are top shelf in everything you do. Greetings from Canada’s east coast.😀🇨🇦

The buckwheat crepes looked delicious!
Love it! FRS is the bees' knees
Try a rope on the wind generator’s tail and swing it off the wind a bit. Acts a bit like feathering
Farm windmills have adjustable tailfins that can re-align the blades to the side, thus having a similar effect to feathering. I'm surprised yacht wind generators don’t have this useful option.
@@BrassLock definitely would be 👍
When you have the hook down and close to land on such windy restless nights, why don’t you go camping out on shore?
Our first duty is to the safety of the boat. Camping is for very settled weather.
Your videos are getting more and more professional...just like your shaved look Troy!
Sometimes you need a wind generator with a small spare rotor, for hard wind.
Thankyou
Id be cool if the wind generator had some sort of drag tension bolt you could tighten when the wind blow to strong. Slow it down to keep the power rolling.
