If you could tell Steam to add any kind of feature or setting, what would you add?
weekly free games
definitely better wishlist management, with more options to group and categorize, some games I want asap and others are 'I'll get it when it goes on sale'
For me I did ask for them to maybe make it so I could know if a game suddenly has proton or steam play support but I haven't seen much in reply it was just a maybe I guess
Definitely to make games cheaper for countries that have a poorer economy

Great job on these videos. For such a huge gaming platform, it's crazy how little coverage there is like this to show what features Steam has. Glad to see someone stepping up to the plate to get this done. ONe thing I would have added with the pinning feature is that you can also adjust the opacity of the pinned window so it's not as distracting during gameplay. Also, in that same overlay the gamepad icon at the bottom will open up Steam Input so you can customize your controller mid-game.
Steam Input itself is quite the beast in terms of features which is why that's the primary focus of my videos.
For anyone wondering about the privacy thing, after you click on your name (which takes you to your profile) click on edit profile then privacy settings.

It should really also ask when you buy a game, if you want people to know about that game. It's pretty ridiculous to have to either make all your activity private or just never buy anything you don't want people to know about. Especially considering it's not just about porn or sketchy stuff. Someone might just wanna buy a gay romance game without being outed or buy a girly game without being judged.

Then you don't add friends on it or at least don't add people you interact with irl or on the regular
You can mark a game as private so other people can't see it even if your profile is public. And you can do it in your cart before buying.
Yeah they fixed that, you can individually set a games privacy from the library without changing profile publicity

this is why steam has no competition lol, epic games is still missing the most basic features you can think of
The only thing epic is good at is free games. I never bought anything from the platform xD
4:26 You can change the transparency of the window too. Just click on the left icon of the pin icon :)

Okay, but wait... What is that function you use to show how many spaces get claimed by a game on the library screen? I cannot find it.
3:03 That trick helped me clear up 300 GB of storage. I had like 9 games I stopped playing or have never played in my pc. I deleted them all.

Steam>Settings>Library Display size for Library user interface. I think some custom skins can hide your balance, but you have to spend your whole balance normally
@@AdamLmao Thats just effect thumbnail size, we have only sort by size on disk when you go to library. and yeah the skin for new UI maybe the only option and I didn't know where to find it. xd
@@MrSongib Oh okay I misunderstood. If you go to your library and click home above your games, then you can click add shelf below the news feed. Then you can select all games. Then you can expand it down with the arrows on the right side. I personally made a dynamic collection for ready to play games, and used that for my shelf with size on disk

Thumbnail show free game claim I clicked on it to see what it was which was misleading but then again I should know better by now. I see the title doesn't match the thumbnail so that's on me but it won't happen again.

i'm trying to find the steam settings that:
1: remove their DRM from my games
2: let me download and update my games without having to go through their proprietary client software
3: get rid of the client's terrible web dev bloated google chrome interface that takes up 2 gb of ram just to simply play a game and give me one that runs at like, 10 mb instead
4: return back support that they forcibly killed off for older operating systems, depriving people access of the games that they paid for
i can't see to find those. maybe if they added those, steam would be somewhat good instead of malicious, proprietary garbage
Ah you want all of their basic functions removed. So you want to pirate games...If so why are you here? Steam is a giant help for gamers, devs, publishers and anyone else in the industry but I guess you don't want any of those guys making money of the things you play right? If not I don't get why you are here since GOG exists.
@@Burtlocker pretty much yes, i do want the so-called "basic functions" removed. i don't want proprietary, bloated DRM standing in my way as an obstacle between me and my games.
as for your usage of the propaganda term "pirate", i don't know why you brought that up, as it's rather a non-sequitur here.
GOG does exist, and that's wonderful, but that doesn't negate any of the bad things that valve and steam does to its users. and unfortunately, i was foolish enough to buy many of my games on steam when i was younger, and now i have no way to get them out.
