    Hey Bram, I also had a shit of a day karting yesterday as well. The effects linger today..... so don't give up, we all have those days.

    Could it be your seat is tilted too far back? That front tire lift in corners looks weird. Actually, I'm with you mechanic, there seems to be just too much load on the rear outside tire, it grips, but slides a fraction of a second later. I would've thought the soft axle would perform better...

      Been thinking the same, had a similar story at my race this weekend where the kart didnt work at all in the second heat and we put a shorter normal axel in and it felt much better.

    Yea definitely dirty air from following too close!
    Haha 😄 🤣🤣
    I know that's not it but probably a sign I've been watching too much Formula 1. It definitely crossed my mind for a split second before I realized "oh yea not an f1 car" lmao

    • @jakubmatusek5006

      My friend blamed him crashing on dirty air and that the kart doesnt want to turn when he is behind someone. Then I explained it to him. He felt stupid.

    Ik zie trouwens mensen reageren dat je stoel te ver naar achteren zit en dit lijkt idd zo te zijn als ik alleen vanaf jouw beelden kijk. Dit hadden wij ook in een paar races en toen wij de stoel 1 tot 2 cm naar voren deden (2 doet wel heel erg veel) konden wij een veel neutralere kart voor onze kiezen krijgen.

    • @RedExions
      @RedExions  2 года назад

      Ik snap wat je bedoelt, maar de stoel staat exact op dezelfde positie als in de Tonykart. En de stoel naar voren zou het probleem in mijn geval alleen maar verslechteren

    • @RutgerBoermaRacing
      @RutgerBoermaRacing 2 года назад

      @@RedExions Zou het? Als je de stoel naar voren zit en voor smaller gaat rijden?

    • @RedExions
      @RedExions  2 года назад +1

      @@RutgerBoermaRacing denk niet dat dat de oplossing gaat zijn. Ik moet echt maximaal naar achteren zitten anders is de kart alleen maar aan het glijden

      Well, at the beginning of the lap there was a large gap. I could not have predicted that he would make a mistake and that I would close the entire gap in only 4 corners

    • @hanswillemse1490
      @hanswillemse1490 2 года назад +3

      @@RedExions I you want to move forward on the grid, always blame yourself, not the other drivers or the circumstances. You can't change them so it's a waste of energy. For some reason the top drivers always qualify in the top-5. Go find those reasons. If they can find them, so can you!

    • @RedExions
      @RedExions  2 года назад +2

      @@hanswillemse1490 That is a good point. I fully agree that you are most responsible for your performance. This one however was very unfortunate and I think this one could have happened to anyone

    • @hanswillemse1490
      @hanswillemse1490 2 года назад +2

      @@RedExions But it didn't happen to anyone, it happened to you! Losers have excuses, winners have a plan. So, what's the plan? Stop talking about the things you cannot influence and start talking about the things you can. I know it sounds harsh but if you want to improve you need to confront the brutal facts. I hope you have someone around you who can tell you the things you don't want to hear. It is not important how fast you can drive. It is all about how fast you can learn. Speed, qualifying performance and good racing is a result of that process. We went through that process. From indoor karting all the way to the grand finals. Fun, sometimes very painful but in the end very rewarding. Good luck!

      Thank you, I now see what you mean. I had a little think about it and you are right. Funnily enough the advice you gave me is what I always tell other people as well. Time to hit the reset button, go testing again and full focus on the next race
