really well done, man! The sound effects are as essential as the images themselves. I like how the flashing domino always reappears to remind the view who's in charge! Great stuff!
This is way better than my sorry attempt at stopmotion. Mine took two days and was just a car moving back and forth. Keep it up! I hope to see more of this in the future, It's really good!
@CosbyTheCaterpillar Glad you enjoy the SFX and the history page, Cosby! The SFX are a combo of the editing program and my own collection, with a few musical effects from a music-editing program...
@srhegarty Thanks, srhegarty! This type of stop-motion (i.e. solid, unbendable materials) is known as 'object animation' and actually dates back to nearly the birth of the cinema...
@JescSol Grazie, Jesc! I used a digital camera to photograph the frames, then used Pinnacle Studio 12 to animate them. The sound effects were made with ACID Music Studio 7, Audacity (freeware), and my own recordings...
i would never have the patience for this, then again, i would have the patience for most of you r work. Very nicely done, the sound effect fit in nicely. Just wondering, how did you get, in the cup scene, the domino to rise with the cup?
@bigfoot227 This took only 900 or so pictures to animate, but I used some frames more than once. I simply took 900 JPEG images with my camera and animated them with Pinnacle Studio 12. It's just a matter of using them as still images, but setting the duration equal to 1 or 2 frames (or sometimes more). With this method, I don't have to use the frames in sequential order, but can play around with them a bit...
@jwren95 I use Pinnacle Studio 12, but just about any program, even Windows Movie Maker, can be used. It's a matter of saving each frame as a still image and setting the duration to 1 or 2 frames...
1:24 love the sound fx. did you make that or is it a fx in the fx library of the editing program you use? PS I went to the stickbomb historypage, it's really cool.
@jwren95 I just used a digital camera and took each frame as a still picture. Then I used my video-editing program to animate the frames--I simply set the duration of each still image to either 1 or 2 frames...
stop motion can't be beat. it has that special charm from knowing that this was all made by hand
really well done, man! The sound effects are as essential as the images themselves. I like how the flashing domino always reappears to remind the view who's in charge!

@jwren95 I just used a digital camera and took each frame as a still picture. Then I used my video-editing program to animate the frames--I simply set the duration of each still image to either 1 or 2 frames...
