Should they say "Thank you for watching because that is how I pay my bills"???? I feel like people will always complain no matter what you do. Also, RUclipsrs provide a service just like actors (who make millions of dollars), just like bus drivers, just like teachers. It is an exchange, not necessarily something that one should have to thank the audience profusely for, begging for forgiveness for the privilege of putting food on their table like anyone else.

Adelle Ramcharan Oh no, I totally agree Adelle... I'm not saying they should beg you at all, precisely because it is an exchange and they get something back too. That's my point, it just bothers me when they act like they just make videos "because they love doing it"...(I'm talking people who have 300 and 400k subscribers... I mean c'mon, 3 highly edited videos a week takes a whole lot of time to just do for fun...) So yes, it's a job, they ARE providing a service. And that's why I'm just taken aback each time a youtuber tells me they LOVE me because I watch their content. It's so fake. And I wish we could all just be more straight-forward about what RUclips business really is. And... not that everyone should show their paycheck, of course not... but your video was refreshing, because you were actually the first RUclipsr I'd seen do that.

I was looking at this a few moths back and the youtuber kidbehindacamera aka michael green from angry grandpa has 1.3 million subs on the one channel and the other channel has around 2 million subs he was making around $800 every day but this was a while back and that's around $25,000 a month so god knows what pewdiepie makes with 40 million subs and millions of views per video.
This has by far been the most honest helpful video I have ever seen. I hope this video gets 1 million views and your paycheck booms because this video is the most relevant video ever.
I have no desire to make RUclips videos. However, I just subbed because of your honesty. I've come across other RUclips videos where these guys and girls have millions of subs and title a video saying that they are going to say how much they make. And in the video they never say how much they make. They dance around the topic but never flat out say the amount. Thanks!

RUclips can be a great revenue stream, but it's vastly different between people, networks, views, retention, etc. There is no views / money ratio that is accurate. That is why SocialBlade is all over the place with it's estimations. But I wish everyone the best of luck! I do RUclips full time now with a half million subscribers and 3 million new views and month and it pays well for the most part but again it can literally change by 50% month to month even with the same number of views based on what advertisements are being billed at and current video retention and the ads that are being displayed on your videos. Hope people find this comment helpful!

I wanted to make youtube videos since 2009, but I never had the confidence to do so. Still to this day. so i get upset with myself because Im afraid to even start. Ugh! Have any advice ?
Just be yourself when doing videos, don't be scared of the camera, and learn how to edit the videos you put up. I just did a video on how to make money on RUclips which started out to be 28 mins long but was edited down to 18 mins.

samocouture Video blogging isn't for everyone. Take up writing articles for news websites or giving reviews to restaurants or stores in your area for money.
samocouture So many people feel the same way you do, you have no idea. Just do it! I would hate for you to regret not doing something you wanted to do and what could be positive for you just because you didn't have the confidence! And don't worry, your channel won't be amazing at first but many vloggers have improved along the way. It's just a learning process! Post a couple of videos and see how you like it. If you find its not your thing, you can always get rid of your channel and do something else. Good luck!

Those estimates are wildly incorrect. And most big RUclipsrs are with networks who state in their contract that they cannot disclose their earnings. Also, it's not anyone's obligation to share how much they make, just like you don't walk up to your dentist and demand to see his paycheck. RUclipsrs are also providing a service that they get paid for and have a right to the privacy if they choose! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing :)

That is because they are with networks, which have different rules. I am not with a network and I will never join one.
Great question. Search on RUclips and you will see many other smaller RUclipsrs explaining this. I have files full of emails from networks trying to get me to sign. Everything they offer I can do on my own, but people who are starting out might not know that. Some smaller RUclipsrs like myself join networks because it's flattering to be a part of a network that also manages your favorite big RUclips star. But that RUclips star likely had their lawyer negotiate a deal with the network and the network is working overtime to keep the big channels happy. They aren't so concerned with the little people and just enjoy taking a cut of your earnings. This seems to be what most people report. Make your own decision!

Believe it or not this is the first video I have ever seen of another youtubers paycheck. I have been filming things I would normally attend for fun here in Vegas (I go to trade shows alot) and I just post what I like. I'm not on some schedule and I don't have companies demanding things done on a timeline. I film my life in Vegas. I help people make educated purchases and I give my opinion from time to time. Now my youtube channel pays my mortgage! I don't know how long this will last so I have to get started on other streams of income besides my day job. Oh...btw...I have never received a paper check from Google and I have been a partner since 2009???

On my Adsense page it says that my balance is 100$. I set my payment method (check) and reached the minimum threshold. Does this mean that I should be waiting for a check by post now? Is there any other step I should make?

in switzerland you earn in 2 weeks around 2'000.-- dollars fulltime. it depends on the job, if you work as a manager you probably earn about 7'000.-- in 2 weeks!! i guess that's the reason why the swiss ppl don't make youtube, it's not worth it...
