- I wonder if I will make a video for each update this game gets.
I dunno. This video is a follow up to "Starters Guide to SCP Secret Laboratory".
I don't exclusively make SCP videos and my plans are normally pretty vague so I can't really say what the next video is going to be.
Expect the next upload in 2 to 10 months or something.

So it is clear, I know that there are updates. I've been working on an all new guide since December. It is pretty much done, but I figured I'd wait for scopophobia to come out, which was supposed to happen in March but has been delayed. I'm waiting too.

They made 079 more fun. 079 was broken massively and by that I mean the controls did not function at all most of the time. Also killing 079 originally meant going to shoot it.

On behalf of the entire SCP:SL team I'd like to thank you for the tutorials! I tried to write this comment before but I noticed your previous video a month after its release.
Regarding the SCP-939 topic: there is indeed more 939s in the SCP universe, however we've only implemented two of them so far. They are all the same in terms of stats. Due to some miscommunications in the team, our artists have accidentally made two 939 models, so we've decided to use both.
Regarding the MicroHID: It can be useful for most of the SCPs if you have enough luck and experience. Usually you don't really have to kill SCPs. MicroHID can be used to scare away SCPs being on your escape way. From my personal experience:
-SCP-106 - MicroHID works well on him, however, there's a huge chance that he's gonna teleport away when he notices you. The best tactic is to use MicroHId nearby his sinkhole, so he has no way to escape.
-SCP-096 - very easy to kill with MicroHID. You just have to attack when the SCP is on his cooldown state - then he's slow and helpless.
-SCP-939 - This SCP won't "see" the MicroHID noise, so you can kill 939s easily when they are in the same room, looking for you.
-SCP-049 - no tactics, you just need to keep a safe distance.
-SCP-173 - really depends. More experienced 173s will most likely kill you if you approach them.
-it works best against your own teammates-

939 should also have the ability to, at a certain level, breach an scp from containment, spawning one of the spectators in. this would help with the fact that scps don't have a fighting chance later in the game.

my first encounter with scp-079 was when my d-boii buddy killed the scientist and 079 said "i saw what you did"
it scared the shit out of me
one time the SCP team was so corrordianted that they killed 049.
basically they ran him into a group of MTF. 173 then took over, and commanded the like 10 zombies 049 had gathered, and we legit murdered everything, at the end, there were like 10 zombies, peanut, all in a small room, chasing a MTF soldier like ring around the rosie, slowly killing him as he screams cusswords.
Sometimes he would order us to chase a specific MTF. a memorable time indeed.

I think a cool thing to do as SCP-173 is to go into a room with alot of people and have SCP-079 turn off the lights and lockdown the room.
Then, kill everyone except one person, and watch their reaction as they see 173 standing over the dead bodies of their entire squad.

079 is extremely fun to play, especially in the entry area.
Some changes I thought about:
1. Each scp having their own agenda, making them no longer teammates, they'd each have their own objectives and sometimes negotiating (Ex: 079 offering to help 106, as the latter could easily just pass through the cage and break 079) to reach said objective.
2. 096 only attacks those who see his face. So a change I thought about is the same mechanic used with 939 to be applied with it, but they'd only be able to see (or at least attack) the ones who actually see their face instead of going on a frenzy. Also the ability to climb up elevator shafts and maybe dismemberment the lower its health is.
3. The inclusion of 682 as a..... let's say.... "environmental hazard".... as in , it's something that EVERYONE has to deal with or EVERYONE would want to prevent 682 from going free.
4. More than just 2 939s (maybe) and instead of having an open microphone, the ability to record and replay their last's victim's comunication.
5. SCP 035. A player would be able to turn into an scp and their current objective would change, not just having a player waiting during the entirety of a match for the chance to be worn. Then if the bearer of 035 is killed, the person that kills it starts to be drawn to it, and so on.
6. The femur breaker preventing you from respawning. Making it a really TOUGH decision.
7. Have the option to let SCP players be able to talk to non-scp players, this'd be controlled by the admin.
I remember old 079... for having control over the system, you felt more lost than the d-class because you didn't have a map. The only thing you could really do was wait by the tesla gate for someone to reach it and activate it while they ran through. You also felt weaker than the d-class because all they had to do was enter your room and shoot you.
Note: You don't have to equip the weapon manager tablet to put it into a generator. You can hold a gun or any other item and just press your interact key (the same key to open doors) on the spot where the tablet goes.
Actually 106 is the worst choice for MicroHID. If the 106 player is experienced they will teleport right away or go to a keycard closed room when they hear the micro.
It still deals the most damage to 106. If he get's caugh by surprise and didn't escaped in time he is done for.
@@Josh-gp9up MicroHID takes 10 seconds to charge up. If 106 is experienced enough you wont be able to kill him with it in anyway.
@@Abdoulaye1995 but you usually begin to charge it from a corner. Most SCPs will be able to escape if you show them the gun then start charging up in their face, exept shy guy because she will be locked in an animation
@@mobiuscoreindustries If you can recognize CI and SCP by their footstep you will definitely hear MicroHID being charged.
@@Abdoulaye1995 sure, hence why it's mostly used as part of a group, or when the subject can use ambient noise or specific circumstances to conceal the weapon. It has its shortcomings for a reason, the SCPs would not be scary if the MicroHID was able to reliably take them down without preparation. The gun is short ranged, most SCPs will survive its blast on their own if not damaged, and an SCP such as 095 can even call out people trying to be smart about it. Its effective, more effective than regular weapons at least, but it's still a major pickle to use by design.

If you witness an SCP die you also get EXP from that. You don't have to just kill humans. The monsters can die too. :)

Honesty best tutorial I have ever seen. You have a good flow, the animations are excellent, you talk very clearly, and you make sure to try not to make any mistakes and when you do you fix them to the best of your ability. From what I can see you're obviously experience with animation and cannot wait to see it the next content that you make you're definitely one that will keep on watching. I don't really know what you plan to do with your channel but keep on making the SCP update in tutorial videos. This community is going to need certain channels like yours in order to grow and bring in new players easily.
Edit: from what I can tell one of the devs contacted and you probably have access to future content. I say make your channel kinda like Shadowfrax's channel. Like talk about the updates and news of the game. That is alot more easier now since you can talk to one of the devs of the game. Keep in mind though if you do make news videos make sure to make other videos as well and have fun with your channel. Idc what you do I'll still watch it.

I’ve been in love with the SCP foundation and the whole concept has just intrigued me for YEARS. I started playing the game in 2013, when I found out about it. I then took a break of my SCP phase, and came back in 2018. I make it sound fast, but hell no, I was in that phase til early 2015. Anyways, I’d never heard about Secret Lab until I stumbled upon YOU in my recommended. All I can say, is thank you so much for inviting and opening the door to my knowledge about this game, I enjoy it much.
wanted to say that this and other videos you've made are very helpful. I just got into the game and it has been very confusing, your narration mixed with great video editing makes for a nice watch for new viewers. Thank you very much.

Next huge update will be the megapatch part 2. It will feature a rework of the pocket dimension, a complete rework of 049 and will be adding scp-500 (Basicly a pill that cures anything). And from looking at game files people found a "syringe gun". Dunno if its gonna be added, people speculate its gonna be used to cure 049-2 using a crushed scp-500.

The thing about SCP 939 and SCP lore is that there’s many 939s and many facilities. You just play in one fictional facility of the hundreds of facilities in the SCP universe. Between those facilities, SCP 939 instances are divided and contained evenly. In reality, only 90 SCP 939s have been documented but the SCP Foundation suspect there may be more. People are only saying there are 3 because 3 SCP 939 instances show up in the original SCP Game (SCP: Containment Breach) whose’s setting is in the doomed SCP Facility, Site-19, which is located in the Himalaya Mountains, China.
In the SCP Lore, the different facilities contain different SCP types. There are biological containment Facilities, Warehouse Facilities, Active researching facilities (just like the one you’re in), and so on. Site-19 is the largest facility the SCP Foundation owns and holds many dangerous and deadly SCPs alongside relatively harmless SCPs (like SCP 914). This game is heavily based off of Site-19. Because of this, the facility in Secret Laboratory will always contains 2-3 instances of SCP 939, though they are not the only ones that exist.
But in the wiki says 079 is contained at Site-15, and some instances of 939 are in some area like that, i may be wrong, please elaborate.

@@LeozeraLindo It's literally in the game 'SCP: Containment Breach'. Reaching 079's chamber is needed to finish the game. Site-19 has a chamber made for SCP-079 and at one point it housed SCP-079.

The USP also has a chance to spawn in 173's security room that you pass when going into his containment.
Are you sure it's not the COM15?
They should add SCP-035. A mask that posseses the victims that wear it.
A player has to go into its chambers and wear the mask to have an SCP-035 in a round.
SCP-035 can pull people using Q slowly, its useful for SCP's near 035 to take them out more easier.
It can also take out a human and switch bodies if your current body is low on health.
Also, it has been described to be extremely charismatic and has commonly convinced staff and personnel to let it escape.
I would much rather have a cutscene play when the round begins that shows 035 taking over a scientist and then you play.

It’s like a scientist walking to his chamber (black screen) opening the door and walking to the mask (black screen) he puts on the mask (black screen) and bam, 035 has taken control. I as well feel like he should be quite powerful but will take damage (The person he posses will die soon by the brain rotting or something) like 1% each something idk.

106 is easily contained with the micro because in the file it says if 106 escapes then the HID is charged to recontain it
Don't they just make a class D step on lego? 106 is attracted to pain and suffering, that is why you hear screaming over the intercoms, 106 detects and tp's to the location (his containment cell). That's where 106 is took out of the game and oof. (Note - fyi, they normally use a hydraulic press designed to break the femur to re-contain 106. Since it is apparently the most painful bone to break).
And even if they manage to kill 106, how would they be able to dispose/take it back to its chamber? The black substance covering 106 is highly corrosive. It might as well fall through the floor until it reaches the Mantle!
@@baralto8336 SCP-106 Containment unit is made with corrosion resistant materials that prevents him from using the pocket dimension. His chamber is also levitated by magnets as to prevent him from escaping, as the containment cell can only stop him from using the pocket dimension if the cell is not in contact with any other surfaces not meant to contain him.

I really want Able to be in the game. He would be pretty weak but can respawn at his containment chamber. You can Spawn kill him using the murder hallway but then you wouldn't be doing other things.
He should be the SCP's team equivalent of setting off the nuke (Either that or releasing 682).

He's blacklisted. Guy has at least 049-2 durability, moves as fast as angered 96, and has one-hit-kill capabilities like 049. Also he's able to respawn.

From what i've noticed a good tactic is the one shown at 5:35 by simply leaving a ambush for peanut you can blackout a room which locks everyone in and lets him move freely

Plasma 1 Yes, and what clears up the random numbers, most of them were terminated/lost, from experiments on how to stop it from being such a task to track them down. There are dens all over the world that the SCP foundation doesn’t know about. In these dens, 939s kill people and breed. This is why they’re Keter, by the way. Since they can’t entirely be contained.

I love how dramatic 079 and the effects can be. Shutting the doors and taking out the lights while being chased by an SCP can really bring the experience to life. The way the lights flicker and shut out is cool. How 079 can speak to humans and SCPs can lead to some tricking. Help some buddy'o pals!

Your guides are very important to me. I haven't really found any other guides and people don't explain the game to me since I don't speak. I even got kicked once for freekill while on other servers I've been freekilled many times. I though it was the norm to kill scientists as a Chaos since the role text doesn't specify that capuring is an option.
Having no text chat in this game makes it very hard for me but I can try to play as a silent ninja and avoid everyone.

One more thing, if theres more then one plague doctor, one can kill someone, and the other can revive.
6:32 it won't reset the countdown, but it will slowly revert itself to the base time required for the generator to activate. So if you pull out a weapon manager at 1:30 and instantly put it back, the timer is back at 1:30 (or 1:31 depending on how fast you are :D ) @Mechasolaris
I honestly think that the SCPs that can talk are some of the best to play as. Because, well, door opening and threatening and pretending to be a pizza guy
106 resistance is only to bullets, 1 bullet does 2 damage from any gun. He however does not have resistances to grenades (which can 1 shot him close up) or the microHID which is normally not a big deal for him because he can teleport away but if the 106 is unaware he's screwed.
One thing I learned: when a tablet is disconnected from a generator, the countdown doesn't instantly reset to zero. It seems to silently start counting backwards. If you take a tablet out at 30 seconds and then immediately put it back in, you'll see what I mean.

2:29 Use the heavy barrel. Head shot is a one shot to all humans classes. Recoil doesn't really matter of the target is dead. Can be an issue in groups though.

It's a fairly minor detail but a note on the ways you can switch camera as 079: If you use the map to change camera it will cost 5AP if you click on a camera icon or use buttons to change camera it will cost 1AP.
If you kill a SCP as 079 e.g Tesla gate you get more experience then interacting. Also a way to tell if 079 is watching you or not if the security camera lens Is red it means it is left alone if it’s blue it means 079 is controlling it.
Also your channel is hella underrated I just checked your sub count you should have more >:3
After reading the video, a few things:
- about SCP-939, as Hubert said, there are 2 different subjects in SCP:SL, people seem to know 3 subjects from SCP:CB or even more reading the article
- when you upgrade containment engineer card (the highest tier scientist card), you either get a commander card or O5 card (chance to get either is practically equal, from my experience)
- upgrading the card, instead of making O5 card, you can stop on commander card which has enough privileges needed to get away: the only difference is that you can't activate a nuke or re-contain SCP-106 but it's not needed if you focus on escaping
- if you want to upgrade your card to the quickest access to LCZ armories, make facility guard card by upgrading cards found in LCZ in SCP-914 set on "1:1"; janitor and scientist card need to be changed twice on "1:1"; research supervisor (major scientist) or zone manager card is needed to change into facility guard card only once; this way you can take control over LCZ

I love using the USP and putting on a heavy barrel for maximum loudness. Whenever I find one, I drop all weapons and only use that. It's definately the most badass weapon, and is guaranteed to get you all the girls with your big, loud, guns.
I don't play this game but these videos make me want to play it.
You can also turn off lights in a few rooms and lock people in with 173 so they literally have no hope of living

Slight correction: The megapatch is split into 3 parts. The surface zone rework will be the 3rd part. The 2nd part, iirc, is a rework of 049, 096, and adding some SCPs like SCP-500.

*You can make a really good troll that when there are two SCP-939s in the game and your one of them you can say outside of the 914 "Help, please open I am just a d boi trying to find my way out!" and when they don't believe you that your a D-class then the other 939 comes and says "He's right, this is not a joke please let us in we wanna escape!" and when they open you just have a free way to kill them if there is a 079 in the game*
