Me & my now husband of 3 months about to be 4🎉, got married at the ages of 23&20 & we also got married with like 3 months times to plan a wedding. We have been engaged for about a year or 2 though. We got engaged in may & like 2 year later we got married just this year August a few days after my birthday🥰. Things was rocky after a week of being married, but now!! I just want to say that the post marriage counseling is an amazing idea! Just for the reminder alone. Marriage is not always easy and there will eventually come some disagreements. My husband and I got married at 20 and 21, wouldn’t change it for the world. In a little over 3 years, we have changed so much and have also learned so much more about each other. Just remember that every day is a new day and you’ll always have work to do with each other, y’all are a team and make decisions together. Keep God first and never lose that. And choose who you are around wisely. God bless and I’m so excited to see y’all’s big day!♥️

take it from someone who had a short engagement..... theres nothing wrong with it. My husband and I were only dating for 3 weeks before he proposed and were only engaged for 2 months before we got married. We will be celebrating 17 years this year!!! My husband and I started officially dating in March of 07, got engaged in June and married in October all in the same year!! We've been very happily married for 15 years! When God is in it you just know. It's so refreshing to see people your age honoring the Lord. God bless your marriage.
I also think the counseling after marriage is a great idea! My husband is a pastor, and he and I together have led a lot of pre-marital counseling. We have said for a while that our hearts are to continue to pour into young married couples. When you choose the Christian life, and don't live together before you're married a lot of things come up. It's great to have others who have been there help guide you through the new. Not just anyone, but good Christian people who you love and trust and will continue to point you to the Lords ways and not the world's! Great idea!

I got married at 18 in 2012 we are going on 11 years married and 14 years together ❤ we was together from 2009-2012 before we got married. I wish you guys were around before I got into a serious relationship at 15 years old. I didn’t have a close relationship with Christ at the time and have done a lot of things that I regret. If you do honeymoon in Mexico, aside from the beaches you probably hope to go to, I would recommend going into the city or something if you get the chance so you can really explore the culture, also I find it may be less expensive and more authentic for stuff like food MUCH LOVE FROM MEXICO

I met my husband got engaged a month later married 6 months later. 8years strong 💪🏽
We only wait a year to allow for planning and saving but if we could’ve we would’ve gotten married last year. Will be together for 5 years this year when you know you know and it’s not rushing. We also both did not want a super long engagement so this was the compromise a year and a half just because we got engaged in January 2022 and we are getting married June 2023
I can not tell you how many times I’ve been asked “why are y’all waiting so long?” (21 months) Like there is no winning.
