Actually, Axl Rose was working on this song for almost 8-10 years prior to 1991. There is a demo version of it that’s slightly different that was recorded in 1985/1986. Check it out!

Comprendo el hecho de que sea un cover de una canción tan conocida, pero en mi opinión no debería existir ninguna restricción o no lo sé...¿miedo? para que cada uno toque y cante como lo sienta. Siempre que veo un cover de los GN'R el vocalista se esfuerza en emular la voz de Axl, y todos los solos de guitarra son los mismos de Slash. No quiero decir que este haya sido un rotundo fracaso, el cover estuvo muy bien, pero en mi opinión los que se dedican a recrear estas canciones tan famosas y por ende tan amadas, deberían hacerlo como ellos mismos: su voz, sus solos y hasta el ritmo, incluso reinventando las partes orquestales o que diablos sin orquesta y más agresiva... algo así como sympathy for the devil, versionada por muchos a su estilo y sin ir muy lejos: live and let die y knocking on heaven doors , ambas covers de GN'R y muy exitosas (a su estilo) vamos que el verdadero talento no reside en el emular perfectamente a los dioses sino en hacer que el peregrino los olvide y cambie de ruta para siempre .

Funker te equivocas, un buen cover se hace con lo propio, muchas canciones del album nevermind de nirvana son covers y no se parecen a las originales
