    Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the Delorean DMC-12.
    During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

      The people of the 80s thought that making the speedometer go less than 100 (or something like that) would make it so people would go slower. It didn't work. especially for old men who invent time machines out of DeLoreans, that's for sure...

      @koekje00005 9 лет назад +27

      +WinXPwhiz Appearantly it was a law back then that car companies needed to limit their speedometers to 85. This law was later scrapped of course and the other (1982, 83) versions of the car (like the one used in BTTF) has a speedo with 140.

    At 18:28, the dummy switches were actually provisions for what was going to be optional heated seats. They never appeared and as a result, the blanks were used instead of re-molding a new panel with deletes.

    Everyone talking about how heavy and slow it is, has never ridden in one. It has 120hp but it only weighs 2700lbs, so same specs as a Ford Fiesta. It's not quick or fast but it's not really slow, especially for early 80's standards.
    The 5spd version has adequate power, and besides, no one who owns one is out racing it, they just cruise it around.

    This is the best video I have watched as far as showing the Delorean's interior and useful features.. Most other's are related to bashing the design of the engine and how to mod it. John Delorean did not get to build the car the way he wanted. Renault found John; not the other way around. They were just the only ones around that could give him his supply chain in a hurry. Had the Economy not tanked I think later Deloreans would have seen big Engine and drivetrain Changes. John had a vision for his car the he never got to realize. As far as Usefulness; Renault did a good enough job in as little time as they were given. With more "R&D" , Time, and better World Economy. These Cars would have been sold faster than they could be made.
    I wold love to have one. Thanks for making this Video.

    The DeLorean DMC-12 was a commercial failure, but its appearance in the Back to the Future movies as a time machine made it one of the most famous cars of all time. ... While it obviously can't fly like the car in Back to the Future II, it can still hover over the ground. It is the only car in GTA 5 that is capable of flying, and was previously seen in GTA: Vice City and GTA: Vice City Stories. The car has a hefty price tag. It can be purchased from the Warstock Cache & Carry for $4,721,500, and can be stored in the Garage or the MOC.
