- On todays hike in Meteora I tried the Via Ferrata to The Great Saint by myself, but I was in for quite a surprise when the iron safety line was missing. I still made it to the top of The Great Saint and was rewarded with Breakfast with a View.

that was amazing
Thanks for sharing... I love the challenge of the ferret part and the view!!
Wonderful but not really easy to hike, thanks for sharing
Once the iron wire is up I think this will be a much easier and safer hike
Great job with this video
Thank you 🙏🙏
nice hike! thank you
WOW!!!
Thank you for showing the beauties of our homeland. Meteora is truly a unique landscape. The monasteries on the top of the rocks are also unique architecturally. The monks used to go up and down in a net suspended with a rope, all this height!
Tell us! is anyone with, taking the video? or you come and go the same path to take it?
Yes, your country is very beautifull, and I hope to visit again.
Great video you have inspired me to go here
Thank you, I hope you have a great time if you go

Very nice Video my new Friend👌

@@ChrisTravelAdventures Hi Chris. Great video. Can you tell me please how do you get to the start of the trail, what is the last known point in the village to start from? is the trail easy to identify?
Hi @@cristianbostina5858 its very easy to find the trail. I started from the parking area in the center of Kastraki (behind the big church and the memorial park). From there I could see the Spindl rock formation and just walked in that direction. The road ends at an old church where the trail into the forest starts and there is only one trail leading direct to the spindl.
I had never been here before and found the way without any problems.
@@ChrisTravelAdventures I was about to ask the same thing, but then I found this comment. Thank you so much!
@@MrAchile13 you're welcome - I hope you'll have a good time in Meteora
Some awesome footage in this video! Thanks for sharing your hike - we are here now and trying to decide where to walk over the coming days :)
Thank you - enjoy your time in Meteora😀
I just visited Meteora recently too and recorded a video! It was beautiful!
I went up the same route but I went with guides! Have safety rope attached and everything. It was so scary and every time I look down, I wanted to give up 😂
Such a good video. I'm visiting Meteora in February, would love to do this hike, and was wondering how you got off the mountain? Same way as up? And how was the missing wire going down?
Thank you. Yes its the same way down, and the missing wire was no problem at all - it only felt scary first time walking there, and I actually ended up going back and forth a couple of times to film and take pictures hahaha
@@ChrisTravelAdventures Great. And thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Nice! We're heading to Meteora and I'd love to give that scramble a try - do you have a GPX track of the trail you took somewhere? Thx
Sorry, I dont have a gpx track, but the trail is still easy to find. Have fun in Meteora👊
great video! do you have any other suggest for ferratas around Meteora? thanks
This is the only via ferrata in Meteora, but the Holy Spirit hike is also nice
@@ChrisTravelAdventuresthanks for the info!
dude, you are crazy! one slip and your toast.
no iron wire and your going for it. WOW
Yes, that was a bit scary, but the difficult part is very short
and how old and worn is that rope?
hi, have you go the route for this trail?
right now, maybe it will be there in high season! 8:16
that you will trust it?
so you do this twice, the first time to put the camera in place?
Yes, I walked back and forth a couple of times to film it hahaha
8:54 the easy part, yea right
It's a Via Cordata, not a Via Ferrata. That's why you didn't find any wires. You are supposed to bring a rope and fix it on the bolts where needed. 😉
Thank you, I didn't know that, but luckely it was possible to do wothout wire or rope😆
if you have vertigo issues...
