I solo hiked across all of the islands in late summer of 2022, the sunrise from the campground at 3:57 is one of the most stunning sights I've experienced. Not to mention the cat that lives there that eats with its hands ❤

Kraig, this is the first video I've seen of you and your RUclips channel as suggested by RUclips and I must say, wow! I really appreciate content creators/vloggers like you who really learn their craft, videoing, traveling, editing, etc. I know it must take a lot of work to make those drone shots of you overhead looking over a valley, walking past a camera down a trail as though a trustful companion is walking behind you to make that shot, the colors, the food eat up close. Those shots are impressive also. In this video, no talking just some of the most beautiful, colorful places, Azores. I don't even know where Azores is located. 🤫 I've subscribed already because I know I'm going to binge watch your past vlogs. I live and born and raised in Washington, DC and hope and will, travel to places I fantasize of traveling to. Only been on a airplane once from Washington, DC to New York and this was when I was a kid with my mother and older brother. I know I got sick and they showed us the pilot cabin; I'm sure they don't do that anymore. But can't wait to watch and catch up on your vlogs. Cheers to you! 🤗👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

As a portuguese these videos are bittersweet. We locals are suffering with overtourism and the azoreans are no exception. Sometimes I wished the internet never existed.
does it help at all that hes promoting relatively low impact tourism as opposed to bringing your giant family walking around in big groups being typical americans and a bunch of screaming kids? im wondering what harm something like this is doing.

I was lucky enough to hike across the islands in 2022, there's really very few tourists in fact I only ran into two other hikers travelling as a couple on Flores, and ironically the locals hate being referred to as Portuguese and don't consider themselves such
@@RFArlott is there any nationalist movement in Azores? No. You walk through every village you see portuguese houses, portuguese churches, portuguese being spoken, portuguese food. Just because they prefer being called azoreans first and portuguese second, doesn't mean they are not portuguese. You are just a sad little man who has no idea about anything. Pathetic.
without tourist some countries would be dirt poor ... i hate crowds myself but that is life stop this craziness first world sure love to complain and invent issues

Lived there for almost 4 years. Did the same before cameras were what they are. Spent time all over Sao Miguel and Terceira. I always wonder if the old hotel is still above the crater on SM.
the old hotel (its ruins) still exist. But to be exact, the island is called São Miguel, Ponta Delgada is the name of the capital

Beautiful! I needed this video today. I was supposed to hike in Canary Islands with a friend, however she will not make it, and I was little sad about spending vacation alone again. However this video let me remember how nice it is to hike alone, and now I am happy about my next trip.
