It's a little late but the way undertook this project with the excitement you had reminded me of time I first installed my first amplifier... I completely fried it and learned by example what not to do 😁... Keep it up glad..
I was trying to add another speaker adding a mid was my goal, I ordered audio pipe crossovers was trying them out 6.5 sounding good mids sounds good after 2 mins my tweeter blew , I have Jl c-3 tweeters , not sure if I gotta bad 3 way crossover or not but I’m to scared to try it again, so look at stats we’ll I wasn’t at all worried about it wish I would’ve, great Video, work for you GL all 😊👍
Great information, I'll be wiring my setup like this, thanks for the help Boss, can I connect 2 tweets to 1 crossover in the same tweeter spot? Cause I'm looking to put my a-pillar tweets along with my super tweets together for the front passenger and driver side
There wasn't a remote wire on the back of the stereo? Every time I hooked up an aftermarket stereo I hook the remote wire up to either the yellow or red ignition wire so that the radio would shut off when the car shuts off
I used to have that amp. Gave me painful high frequencies and couldn’t tune them out. Had to switch amps. I hope your experience with it wasnt like mine.
When you hook the remote wire up to the car fuse. Every time you start the car up the amp is on even when you don't play the radio even when you're not playing the music the amp it on
Hello mate, incredible work, i wanted to ask a question, so i have the kenwood kac 748 and have a sub and 2 woofers and tweeter combo 2 door woofers and two tweeters, is there a way to connect all these speakers without using crossovers?
You are going to need crossovers unfortunately. You could get an extremely expensive amp that can handle 8 or more inputs but your Kenwood amp will only handle 4 inputs. I would recommend setting up each door tweeter and a door woofer on a cross over to use for one input which will take 2 of your inputs. The other 2 can be used for your sub and tweeter combo
One quick question!?? I installed some tweeters on my jeep wrangler 2020 BT every time I put the volume all the way up ! The volume goes down n up by it self ! Do you know why this happen !? I hope you answer back brother thank you for your time !!!
On the cross overs there is a plus and minus port on each of them to route to eachother. I think I showed that and explained it in the video. Let me know it that makes sense!
There are input ports on the cross over for your stock plus an minus speaker wires for each speaker to cross over ,an power an ground to turn on the cross over.
Im confused, how do you connect 8 actual door speakers to it, for example ive tried to hook up speaker threw the tweeter outputs on the ceossovers and no sound comes out. Also i couldnt use the crossovers with an amplifier that has a built in crossover unit (i have the kicker 300.4) i believe. And i was using the 600w crossovers from audio pipe. I have 14-16 speakers in my 2009 scion tc 2 of them are kicker L5 12”s 1200watt series
My kicker amp also turns prt mode on when the bass hits hard on my subs (ran on same power lead off battery seperate on kill switch) a little advice could help my at home build tremendously
Hey! Sounds like you got a complex setup going on haha. I used the audio pipes only for the door speakers which are presumably much less then 600 watts. Figure out what brand of door speakers you have and match the brand of the amp to the door speakers. This can help. Also try testing your speakers like I showed. Place a battery in between the two speaker wires to make sure the tweeters are actually still functioning before you blame anything on the amp.
Rather simply, although it won't sound that great. Your system will sound much better if you can get each speaker on its own channel via a DSP, preferably.
So I'm trying to gut and replace my 04 convertible mustang's Mach 460 system. It's got 2 speakers on each door then 2 in the back, so 8 speakers total, so I'd just wire those up like this?
IF YOUR RADIO DOESNT PICK UP THE REMOTE CONECT IT TO YOUR CURRENT CABLE NORMALY RED THAT WAY WHEN THE RADIO GETS CURRENT ANT TURNS ON THE RMT WILL TURN ON/OFF WITH IT LEARBED THIS FROM DAD
Was Golf R equipped with Fender Audio before last owner swapped things out? Cause my MK6.5 GLI has Fender Audio and I’m trying to swap out with aftermarket amp, speakers and head unit. I also have a Harness that connects to Factory amp connector, but I haven’t started the process to see if it works before I get some info. Do you have an idea of what kind bypass is being used?

That hurt watching me test the speakers with the battery that is very bad for the voice tours and I'm pretty sure bad for the crossover you usually only do that when you're trying to find negative and positive wires from your factory system and you usually use the speaker that's Factory that you're taking out

You should use the crimp part on the wire stripper. Gives the best bite into the wire so it don’t slip off

but who doesn’t use their stereo when in the car lol
I have a question so if I have 2 mids and to tweeter could I parallel the tweeters then parallel the mids then go into the crossover ?

DSP, crossovers, or blow your tweeters.... That's your options!
Extra points for Russ being the first song.
So its o.k to connect the amp to the crossover , if the main speaker wires are connected to the crossover also!? You didn't explain that part.
you connect the wires that are connected to the IN-, IN+ to the amp
I have hertz sv200neo 8inch. They need crossover?
clean work man , one question how did you connect the amp to the radio ? RCA cable ? or took the sound from the line from headunit to speakers ?
the previous owner used bypassers to go from the stock head unit unit rca cables and then I ran the cables to the amp!
@@cfilmsllcDid you run the speaker wire through the doors??

Upgrade wire
One question how did you link the crossovers together will be doing something similar with 4 crossovers and one 4 channel amp😊
On the cross overs there is a plus and minus port on each of them to route to eachother. I think I showed that and explained it in the video. Let me know it that makes sense!
@@cfilmsllcSo the plus and minus on the in +/- goes into the front and rear inputs on the 4 channel amp is what you're saying Boss?
So how exactly did you do it, it's a good video but barely any explanation on how you were able to plug all the speakers
There are input ports on the cross over for your stock plus an minus speaker wires for each speaker to cross over ,an power an ground to turn on the cross over.
I tried those off my head set and it sound like trash lol do you need a cross over threw the amp
Yes

Not sure what the original audio system was, but I know it’s a little more complex to switch out on the newer models

Couldnt you just run them in series vs buying the additional equipment

After learning ohm's law, I never bought a 4 channel amp again.
Why? What are you buying then a 2 channel?
Ohms law has nothing to do with channels on an amp. And everything to do with power.
This video lacked detail on exact wire hookups. And you probably should put in the caption of the video that you're using crossovers
Lowrider magazine/import tuner and or (remote wire)
Been there.
Fuse tap brotha
How are you controling your speaker time alignment ?
he's not
98% of ppl don’t even know about time alignment nor dsp lol
😂
Why no parts list ;)
I can get you one if you want man haha!

Set your 4 6.5's to either rear or front and you gone bridge them together on each channel, you'll have 2 sets of bridged wires going into your amp

So annoying.
