Russia at Eurovision 1994-2019 • Part 1

In this video, we look at Russia's 22 entries at the Eurovision Song Contest since their début in 1994.
Songs are ranked according to how successful they were at receiving the most possible points. To achieve 100%, a song would need to receive 12 points from all other countries. Ranking the songs this way shows how well a particular song did, in comparison to the other songs in a given year. If it was a runaway favorite, its percentage will be higher.
This means it is possible for a song to achieve a high percentage of votes, without winning the contest, if it was a big hit, and other songs performed particularity poorly, as is exactly what happened in the year of the #1 song on this list, when the top 3 countries took almost all the points, leaving many countries with just a handful of points.
