I remember the time you bred his dam and how she had him then the journey that ensued afterwards. I will always laugh at the time Banksy ran straight into that fence and learned how to calm down after showing off how much of a cheeky, lively colt he is. And after all this time, he's a year old. Shelby, you have raised a lovely boy.

I used to be very judgemental of you guys when he got rejected. Looking back on it I really shouldn’t have been. Cause when you look at how he grew up, he’s had a really good first year. Got everything he needed. A mom, friends to play with, space, good care and patient loving humans.
We are very fortunate to have had the help we had with him and I do not regret putting him onto a nurse mare one bit because it was only a matter of time until his dam gravely injured him. I think a lot of people forget that the clips from videos can be filmed for seconds to minutes at a time over a period of days. I never used any of the footage of her bashing him into fences or being cruel to him because it wasnt worth the hassle of dealing with even further judgment. I think people took that as her being perfect and us getting a nurse mare for no reason or assumed the clips of us snuggling him when he was young meant we spent hours with him when really we handled him a lot less than a lot of farms do.
Thanks for this comment, I appreciate you reflecting on that. It’s easy to assume situations are as simple as they appear in videos but compilations like this shows how many snippets you can get over the course of a year and fit into a 20min edit, much of the vlogs are also like that.
You're so much more mature than most people, it takes a lot to admit your faults! Good on your for taking time to reflect and educate.

Aww Milo pushing the rest of the herd away from "HIS BABY" was strangely adorable considering, well, it's Milo, ha. But oh man, those photos and videos of George and Banksy pulled on some heartstrings. Can't believe it's been a year! And can't wait how this next year treats him. You've done a lovely job already of exposing him to everything you can. My 9 year old is terrified of random objects bc people didn't bother to teach him the world isn't a scary place.
