What could be stopping them from adding more body types at the start? For a lot of people, myself including I like to play what I am and I'm not a women. It's not immersive and I just can't connect to my character. At least they plan on adding those options later on. Hopefully it's sooner, rather than later and they better make it where you can customize your character mid way through a playthrough.
Why would you want to self insert yourself into a fantasy world? The whole point is to escape from reality. I dont understand why dudes choose to roleplay as females but to want to play as yourself also makes no sense to me.

Well said, I always get tons of hate comments when I post this issue with many games. For me I just don’t enjoy playing as a female PC, its just not as immersive for me and cannot relate to the character but usually get called too sensitive, misogynistic, or sexist so I am glad to see others with the same mindset. The devs replied to me in one of their videos and they said the reason is because they just have higher priorities than character customization. I understand that for a single player game but with co op its jarring.
@@Xl_Fenrir_lX Yeah I've seen that attitude a lot. Like just because you prefer not to play as a female you must obviously hate women or something *eye roll*. I've played as plenty of female protagonists in games in the past. If it's a set character like Aloy, Lara Croft, Ciri, Yuna, etc. and the game doesn't feel too agenda-driven (which unfortunately it often does) then that's one thing. But in games like these I really want to "step into the shoes of" the character and make it my own, and that's just difficult for me to do with a female protagonist.
Super excited for this game, just got a refund on PS5 as they have made the game cheaper. Not a great lover of multilayer games prefer solo, so I hope this game is not to reliant on co-op to progress. Just subscribed

Only PS5? I dislike exclusives or ones that release on 1 platform and you have to wait a year for it to come out for other platforms. That just makes me never play them at that point
Don't keep track of the peasant wars but isn't the Xbox super weak this generation? Probably has a hard time running it. If its on pc too usually not an exclusive
That's xbox fault. Wukong, for example, isn't exclusive, but xbox series S doesn't run it properly. Xbox also give developers a hard time because they limit their options to make the game run on series S because xbox wants both series users to have a the same experience or as close as possible.

What is the gender we play as? Male or female? I've been watching every vid in this game. Yours has been most comprehensive. I was gonna wait incase the bugs irritate me seemings as it's EA. But in your opinion is it worth the risk getting it day 1 on what you know so far?
