Good info, keep the format, and maybe add more text graphics while you're explaining so we can look at it in a glance (ie. Specs, L/100km etc). Since it's your car, it's great that you included your user and service experience. Keep it up for other cars, and the best info about used cars that many Malaysian used car reviewers miss are detailed user experience research in terms of servicing and spare parts availability for certain cars. So if you would include that (of course an Axia is a no brainer on parts availability, and yes, you did go through it servicing, so I appreciated that), it would keep you above the rest. I'd love to see older cars (2002-2006) being reviewed from a normal Malaysian perspective.
Thanks for the feedback. Getting older cars for content and providing comprehensive information will be tough, but we'll try. We'll mainly produce content on new cars
It's crazy how much Perodua Axia first facelift hold up in price. Still using one since 2017 and it never break down. Could literally go another 100K miles on this one. It just works.
Alhamudulillah, inilah kereta pertama saya masa saya baru mula bekerja di kuala kubu baru, berulang dari Damansara. Besar jasa kereta ini 5 tahun berkhidmat, even masa jual dgn Carsome still harga tinggi dan saya dapat cash pula rm2k. Berrbaloi sgt axia ini, minyak jimat sangat2
Great presentation and really nice voice I must agree. It is a good insight video. Me as a owner of many used car, been driving quite many cars over 20 years. I must say, buy the car that suit your need. This Axia is a wallet saver A to B car for any daily task. It give everything just we need as basic for city drive.
I like this concept. Would love to see you cover more used cars. It would help buyers to know the gotchas on second hand cars and might highlight some underappreciated gems. Keep up the great work!
Im using the 2015 G spec manual. I opt for that spec just because of the cherry blossom colorway. As a first car, it is a good car. But as a family car, once you have a child, it is best to buy a sedan cause as you mentioned, once you fit a stroller, than that's it. Not much space left. In my experience, my Axia has been serving me well till this day.
I have a first gen Axia in Penang that I drive when I go back. Driven it up Batu Ferringhi with 5 adults, 2 kids and luggages and got back down Balik Pulau safely. I’ve abused that car with hard acceleration, heavy braking, overload weight etc, that car never broken down once. And best of all, electronics, aircon and other moving parts are still working alright. My only gripe is that the front sensor is poorly designed. At traffic stops, motorcyclists will trigger the sensor and it can get annoying especially for city driving like Georgetown. Let’s not get started on the quality of the car audio system; speakers sound like it breaking even when playing the radio.
@@CeritaFour if you want the exact model surely not. What I meant was the price in used market is so high its so not worth it that I would rather spend extra to get new car. Any car. Just not this. Got me? Think la first.
1. Hi, i think fog lamps are overated. In a study conducted by Michael J.Flannagan (Uni of Michigan) report No. UMTRI-2001-40 back in Nov 2001 it was concluded that there was insufficient evidence to suggest that foglamps actually helped in a meaningful way. Rear foglamps however do, much to the annoyance of others when misused or those that forget to switch them off. I understand that they do somewhat look cool and in some cases does help slightly. 2. On the other hand buyers that prefer the conventional 4AT can opt for one in the used market instead of the currently offered DCVT (exception being the *MT, on the pre DNGA platform which is currently still being sold alongside the new DNGA variants) *MT is spec kosong, no radio, no central locking, no reverse sensors, vastly more unforgiving clutch compared to Protons. Thankfully however our spec kosong still came with AC and power windows because in certain markets even those are optional upgrades. 3. Mind sharing why you prefer the steel rims? I've found them to be randomly prone to rust spots. 4. Having driven both the pre and post DNGA Axias they are still a tad too bumpy / jumpy, they do corner better than its sedan counterpart the Bezza of course. 5. You could also consider getting iridium plugs as they will outlast the conventional plugs. 6. In terms of service and after sales, most of the SCs are prone to up selling, it also costs a lot more in my experience. Some SC tried to pull a chamber nut scam on our first service, service guy drove our cars like a nut job for "testing" purposes, couldn't do a proper alignment job, service advisor insinuated that buying a battery from elsewhere will void the warranty and finally will always be welcoming of payment but a thousand excuses if a warranty claim were to arise.
Idk why but the 2018 Axia G is the best looking axia out there. Not plastered with chrome and fitting for it's customer base and purpose. Simple and affordable. Not trying to "look at me!!" type of car. Beautiful and simple design that I like, which is the 2018 Axia G. I bought one in 2019 and still using it. Only problem was low oil pressure. And that's cuz I daily drive it 5 years with 80k+ KM today. Can calculate yourself lol how much I drive in a year. I feel like it's a car anyone should buy even if you're rich. Great car to drive around in the city and excellent fuel economy. Just buy it to go work and back home Why does yours come with steelies tho?
Mine is 2014 model, manual, mileage is around 362k. Obviously so many things have happened but I'm still happy to drive it carrying full load of 6 people. 10 years already. 😂😂😂
No. Bcos the used cars prices are too high. I rather buy the new Axia E manual transmission or the new Axia G auto. But if Perodua were to re launch the old Axia auto variants, l would be very interested. I just like small cars.😅
This 2018 axia need many things needed to replace after 6 years. Even though the mileage on 60k, many wear and tear on under carriage side such as absorber, stabiliser link etc that is linked with those component. Luckily mines is manual so no need to change the oil cooler. Also ac is not that cold anymore. For the price used not sure worth it or not because it does need many things needed to take care.
If buying a used Axia is better for people who just wants a car that only needs to be serviced at any generic workshops with their own choice of engine oils and aftermarket spare parts, then there is no point trying debate further about their financial choices. Much better than seeing people buying brand-new Axias continuously complaining about warranty this warranty that, cannot do servicing at non-Perodua workshops, cannot use engine oil brands from Shopee Motorsport etc.
How is the CC7 on wet roads? I used to have 195/55/15 CC6 on my Jazz and it was drifting everywhere and wheel spinning on hills after the first 5k km on wet roads. I have changed to UC7 which is soooo much better on both wet and dry.
make a video about the legendary 2001-2007 corolla altis and it being super modular to convert to other variants of other altis that is region exclusive especially the corolla EX 2012-2015 from china
The 2019 Saga MT from what I see came with ABS/EBD, folding mirrors and keyless fob. Compared to the 2016 Saga VVT MT only the ABS/EBD is new on the 2019 model. Folding mirrors (assuming you can also control them from the inside is also a welcome feature, as the 2016 had mirrors you needed to adjust manually). 2016 model had a full key. A step back however was the removal of front parking sensors on the 2019 model. Both models had issues with the left front door being misaligned or something and rubbing on the frame / pillar or rear door Moving to the current version, MC2 I think, we now have brake assist as an additional safety feature, rims have increased to 15". We are still missing ESC which speaks for itself if you've ever experienced it before. Unfortunately only the higher variants have more safety features, gone are the days when they had a Premium MT.
This car sucks. Been using my niece's Axia last year a bit for my son's training for driving license. Absolutely horrible in every way imaginable. Heavy power steering, car can't move uphil when slope a little bit, everything rattles and man i simply freaking hate it. But the new DNGA is much better with much much better power delivery with the DCVT (AT sucks people, get over it), much lighter steering etc. If you have to buy an AXIA, buy the new one, even the G model without the ADAS with insane endless beeping is fine.
