Thank you so very much for all of your informative videos about Bali. My wife and I are heading there in April to explore all that we can. Your youtube videos and channel have helped us to feel more confident that we will have an amazing time. Maybe, if we are lucky, our paths will pass. Cheers to you, and we wish you all the best and for a fast recovery.
Muzza, sorry that you have both been unwell. Now getting some understanding of what your ideas are for the plot of land - looking forward to seeing the project evolve.
Wishing you both good health. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of what is causing Vie’s pain. House plans sound exciting! Fingers crossed they can start the build when you are ready to go 😊
Well wishes to your lovely wife and ofcoarse to you and Al. Get well friends I will continue to follow here and spead the word. Cheers from john in melbourne
Hi bro, finally your back online, glad to see, hope Al gets better soon, and they find out what's happening with Vie,thinking of you guys, stay safe my friend.
Currently building a villa in Jimbaran, just a basic Balinese villa with a pool and man, it’s sooooo slow and the quality of work leaves a lot to be desired. The workers are either sleeping or just leave site for hours or days at a time. Don’t think I’ll do it again, way too many headaches and finding quality contractors is almost impossible.
@@TonyDorsett-vr1mg Sounds good in theory, however when you're in a foreign country that can make life very hard, my partenr is Indo, but that's not really making an impact. You need to basically be onsite every day to ensure they actually work and they do whats required. They do literally move in during the build, and as the Villa evolves the workers slow up significantly when the roof and power is on because for them, its free accommodation, but it starts costing way more than it should. After just a few months, the paints pealing from the walls, the roof already leaks, the toilet was installed on the piss, the tiles are breaking because they don't do a full grout cover. you conctatly have your hand in your pocket for all the re-work. The workers are constatly changing and just pass the buck when it comes to mistakes and accountability. Since the the start of the build, we would drop off food, money etc to the crew, but it seems they have been taking the piss. I have a friend who bought 3 completed Villas a month ago and he's now in a world of pain. Ahhhh you gotta love it.

Sounds like Thailand - building standards are 'dodgy' at best and workers do there own thing.
Make sure you dont paye them until your 100% happy with the work
