    I am F1 fan and don't really watch Nascar but i always thought it was cool that Nascar had multiple lug nuts. 1 nut fits well for F1 but it was cool to see them take off and put on multiple nuts in Nascar.

      I feel the same! The 5 lug stop looked a lot cooler!

    Not a hater. Been a long time coming. If it’s worked so well in Indy car and F1 why not? When is the on board pneumatic jacks coming? How about eliminating the air hoses and wearing your own nitrogen tank? Sky’s the limit right?

      Or having the overhead line like most motorsports.

      I would think theyed be using lithium battery powered jacks or something in 2022. They have those batteries in everything now. I don't see why one can't be used to power a hydraulic pump motor in a floor jack.

    I still loved the 5 nut tire change more tbh, it’s just too iconic-

    I caught that re fueler at the sink his boot perfectly into the bottom of the inside of the rim and kick it out of his and the gunners ways but in a way it was in the pit. Very quick move. You pulled the tire and as you were plac8ng it down the gas persons foot was already lifting to kick it that's amazing. I went to Bethlehem techs Northampton Annex for auto mechanics and in when i graduated there was a race at pocono. The #18 M&M car and pit crew visited our school and challenged us to a tire change competition. That car was so loud it shook the shop. No burnouts or show boating just came to volunteer thier time to educate future mechanics. They had the whole crew the the tractor trailer it looked like the whole #18 convoy was there with the pit crew and driver. I do not follow NASCAR much so don't remember his name.

    Changing tires is obviously not easy and there's a lot of skill in it, but to be fair, most of the concern is that 5 nuts are harder than 1 - Reasons why changing the 1 nut is hard mostly apply to the 5-nut wheels, except times 5

      Kinda agreed, but with 1 lug pit stops has gone faster

    STRENGTH 💪 PRECISION AND SPEED... is a perfect pit stop.. and if your guy goes sliding through you either have to push it back or watch out so that driver can backup

    Is more like other categories like F1 or GT categories. And in that categories the pitstops are amazing. I really like this change

    Kindly F*ck those haters, my friend. Do any teams utilize the millisecond unit of measurement versus the fractional second timing? It may be an easier way for ya'll to measure your performance improvements.
    Don't catch on Fire, awesome video walk through!

    I think road cars are going to start migrating towards single lug wheels

      well currently only porsche who really passionate with it. the hard thing is that single lug nut need a good torque wrench.

    • @borismarkov1141
      @borismarkov1141 2 года назад +4

      I doubt it, its a redundancy thing. If you only have one lug and it fails you're losing the tire.

    As an F1 fan I always liked the way deez 5 nuts were handled, I read why they switch, appreciate what's told here. Downside is you can't collect deez nuts any more, Upside is deez nuts ain't gonna fly around when grabbed by a wheel, making it a bit safer.

    Its easier hands down. {And more boring for people to watch.}
